Wow! I liked the first version but loved the final. I was a bit worried at the beginning but I could really see an amazing transformation happen out of your bravery. I’ll remember this!

I believe the snow could be more turquoise to reflect some of sunset . From past student who loves AU and your teaching!

Adding that warmth to the snow just magically draws my eye around the painting. It's more connected. Also, I'm wild about colour so yes, I love this saturated version!

They're completely Different paintings! You stepped into more than color changing, the whole Mood shifted. What great lesson you gave. THANKS.

I love how you "self talked" yourself out of feeling worried and/or discouraged when starting the tree! So good for us to see and hear you having some issues and seeing how you conquered them! Many thanks!

I am a watercolorist. Can't recall why I decided to click into you, but this video has shown me expressionism in a fresh way. I'm going to try your ideas in watercolor, but really think I want to try the freedom of acrylics now.

This has been one of the best videos that Jed has made. To go from good to great takes courage - thank you Jed for reminding us. Thank you for taking us through the process and offering encouragement.

Love your videos and style! Loved the pairing before and more now. In my opinion I’d make the sky turquoise like the car and put snow on the parked car. With that much snow I’d expect to see snow on the trees.

I found this lesson informative and encouraging. I have two paintings that can really benefit from this tutelage. I am inspired to take more risks now. Thank you for posting this.😊

For my input the original painting definitely matched the photo! So if you consider that … the muted colors were a good perspective from original artist!
But the lesson was to show how to bring out more color and it made sense! But I prefer the original painting for my decor!

I just love that you put yourself out there to show us how to go from good to great, and to take a risk with painting. Great to see an example. I love that tree at the back and how you brought in the light. I love vibrancy - that is what makes a painting and takes it from just a photo of the real to an expression of life. I have bought two of your mini challenges and have been watching a lot of your videos, and cannot wait for membership to open and for January :)

    • @douggreenman

Jed uses a Masterson sta wet palette. It comes with special paper that sits over a wet, flat sponge. They also sell the paper separately for refills.
