there is a flap in the air duct. On the passenger side near the fan motor. This is opened pneumatically. The engine has to be running!! Then you adjust the air pressure using the selector switch and the flap opens.
hey man, me again! it could also be some sort of hole thats not bringing the air to the vents, possibly a lack of gas as well if its not coming off cool trough the bottom, had a few broken acs on most cars and those were usually the issue, not sure tho, anyhow good luck on this problem! im sure itll be fixed in no time, love your content and style!
Well, I've only ever had this problem on a Mustang and it was the actuator's.. But they didn't blow under the car.. They just stuck in one direction. Sooo. I'm going to guess that a vent disconnected and is just blowing.. Can you trace the flow of air? OR Your actuator/s is blocked and blowing out what should be your fresh air intake..
Sounds like a blend door is stuck. You can try moving the knob to defrost and see if it changes where the air comes out. I'm not sure if that car uses vacuum lines(more likely with a car of that age) to control the blend door or an electric actuator, but that's where you should look first. Find out whether it uses vacuum or an electric actuator and where it's located(most likely under the dash, possibly behind the glove box). If it uses a vacuum, you probably have a vacuum leak that you'll have to track down. If it's electric, you can check if it's getting proper voltage and if it's doing anything at all when you turn the knob. A lot of times, the teeth on the plastic gears inside of an actuator will strip and you'll have a problem like this. I'm sure there are repair manuals for this car that you can find online for this car. I recommend either downloading or buying a physical manual because it'll save you a lot of headaches when it comes to troubleshooting these small problems that you can probably handle yourself.
Switching between hot and cold is mechanical connection a little bit of a pain to fix. But no air at all now that is a vacuum problem. The back of the Switch is a diaphragm made of rubber that gets hard and stops working. Easy to fix.
Problem is it’s a Delorean!!! Weak engine, heavy, and slow. The only thing going for it other than the cool aluminum body is its appearance in a dated 80s movie. It’s like driving an old Firebird its an old junk car that got way to much fame from being in a movie. Not surprised one bit that car needs work.
Well.. you have 1 of those statements correct; yes, the engine is weak. Besides that.. the car is not heavy, it's actually lighter than a Subaru Impreza and the exterior panels are stainless steel (not aluminum)
Your actuator door is probably blocking it, adjust from defrost to vent to floor and see what happens
If it’s not adjusting from floor to vent to defrost, then you might have a vacuum leak or the vacuum door not allowing the door to operate

Good news is your switches and blower all work. So now it’s just ducting and vent controls! Fun stuff

Check in front of the blower motor. Maybe you have a cabin air filter that opened up or the hose came off the blower.

I dont know much about cars, but something may be blocking the blower and redirecting it elsewhere to the wrong place.
So get a can of compressed air and just blow out the AC vent and go under and just spray that fan. It’s probably just have something in it.
Also, aren't the blend doors vacuum operated on this car? Check to see if you have broken vacuum control lines
I can only imagine a rat or something crawled in one of the tube's and died and is now re directing the air to outside the car
That duct under the knee pad only feeds the pass door vent
Why would you feel air outside of the car ? Check the AC clutch to see if it's turning and also you may have a bad blend door opp
On that car whenever the ac compressor is engaged the front radiator cooling fans kick on as well

My mom has an 1999 or 2000 mustang that has been acting up so yeah no working AC
