Justin did land a few really good leg kicks, and a couple hooks and an overhand but khabib walked him down. So octagon aggression and control, doesnlt effect scoring unless you utilize it, and khabib did. All due respect to justin, there is no way he won that round.

    Firas is such a fucking genius head coach. When asked directly about Khabib he flourishes with praise at lightweight. But, about welterweight he could have simply said Khabib is a lightweight and that was his weight class. But, when welterweight is brought up where Khabib could likely be champion also, he makes a direct challenge. In his softest of touches he made the Khabib vs GSP challenge. There is a reason he is the best of the best coaches.

In the Tibau fight, striking was pretty even but effective aggression and octagon control were easily Khabib's. Against Gaethje, grappling and striking cancel out, maybe even edge it to Khabib as the bell saved Gaethje from the armbar, effective aggression and octagon control was again Khabib's all the way. Free will is an incredibly ambiguous term.
    I wish people would define what they mean.
    The debate seems to be mostly a language game.

      @@painandpyro Nah it’s crazy. Octagon control, pressure, strikes landed, takedowns. Justin had more strikes landed which Khabib didn’t even flinch at, Khabib had Justin walking backwards the entire time and got the take down with a minute left. Controlled him on the cage and almost got a submission. Ended on top. Easily 10-9 Khabib.

    I've been subbed to you for years and you always talk about starting a philosophy podcast or doing an episode here or there, but I dont think you've ever made one. I don't think I agree with all your thoughts on the topic, but I do think you know more than I do about it and would be very interesting in listening to you go into the depth that you've been promising.

  • @alcottdevalte7440
    @alcottdevalte7440 Před 3 lety

    We won't see a another great fighter like Khabib again. I wish I got to watch him fight live in a big arena :-) He is the best along with Ali, GSP, Harry Greb, Willie Pep and Joe Louis...

  • @CharlesOffdensen
    @CharlesOffdensen Před 3 lety

    GSP will smash Khabib, mostly because he is bigger, when everything else is close, this would make the difference, and I think GSP is actually better.
    Khabib-Tony fight is cursed!

    • @TheRosyCodex
      @TheRosyCodex Před 3 lety

      Yes but completely different style to Khabib. Khabib is a control based grappler, Tony is a master scrambler. That's why the matchup between them would be so fascinating but alas the fight was cursed...

      I agree with yall. I just think Tony is better on the ground than Gaethje and could possible present more of an obstacle for Khabib. Not that he would win but you know what I'm trying to say lol.
