I feel HORRIBLE for anyone who sadly gets born into this cult or dragged in as a child. But, HOW IN THE WORLD does any resonably intelligent adult get into this ridiculous insanity??
It has nothing to do with intelligence. It has to do with manipulation, gaslighting, love-bombing and all the other tools that cults use. And taking advantage of people when they are vulnerable or in search of something more. Remember the saying about a frog in water who will not notice the temperature has been turned up to boiling until it is too late. Cults do not show people their true colors right off the bat: it starts out “normal “ and “reasonable”; they don’t show their culty side until the new recruit is really believing and getting some kind of “wins” they attribute to being in the cult.

Maddening! The money just sits there, and they help NO-ONE in the community. Real churches have food banks, help home/clothe the un-housed, help parishioners needing support (and into the wider community), and more depending on the church. This cult does NOTHING except take people's money and destroy lives and families. It makes me sick to my stomach.

I was in commercial real estate in Fl and the largest owner of contiguous property in the state of Florida was the Church in Utah. Aka. Morman. I did have a family from the Clearwater that would drive 2 hrs each way to bring their children to the private school my children attended. I drove near Clearwater but I had no idea how much control. Scientology had. It's our tax dollars. The world's taxpayers money. And wars. So many layers to all this. These NGO'S that are not governments agencies we gave our donations to. To help starving people around the world were going into these great charity's top people pocket. 😢 it's a worldwide caball. IMHO. I am a Christian but only give money to my pastor. I don't support giving money to any charity unless you know where every penny is going. I thought if your leader was could infiltrate our government, even calling it Saving the Planet. We are still doing it but now we are calling it climate control.HAARP are so my limited research is telling me.

Sounds to me like Ivan was laundering money for Trish, either knowingly or not, botched it that’s to the reg, put Trish in a spot where she might run into legal trouble, so Little Davy approved the lawsuit so that the smaller of his cash cows would go down instead of the big one.
Edit: typed that part way through the video, the Trish/pirak connection makes it look more like she got into something dirty with the original money, the church got it out of her in session, and to fix it, they set up this frame up on Ivan, legal action approved for the same reason as the first comment.

Medical detox would be necessary for alcohol or benzodiazepines. Cold turkey could be fatal. Withdrawal from other substances can be incredibly uncomfortable but not deadly. Speaking from personal experience.
Fentanyl is a sometime fatal withdrawal too. Still, regular opioid withdrawal usual sucks so much, people don’t wanna do it without help.

@GrowingUpInScientology Ozsan is a Turkish name, they changed the Ö with O for the convenience of US Americans is my guess. So the name would be Özsan. But ignore that, it is pronounced like this: Oz like Wizard of Oz, then san is like sun.
Question: Is it possible that Ivan was declared before he ever met Trish and this is fair-gaming him?
Was the loss insured? If Duggan had insurance and money was embezzled and she makes an insurance claim then it's possible insurance would pay out for the loss. That would give her another seven million to donate. Often a claim is abrogated to the insurance company in US jurisprudence but maybe in Switzerland the insured party (Duggan or her company) isn't allowed to abrogate her claim and must prosecute the case directly against the embezzler? If the CoS could double the money perhaps that greed overrides the prohibition on filing lawsuits.
Maybe it comes down to insurance fraud. Ivan's already had a stroke, the odds of him dying while awaiting trial are significant. If he dies, no trial: no trial, no discovery. No discovery? No exposure for the cos. Any time you're following the money, you should also ask, "What is insured?"

I know Tyler Pirak, he was working out of the IAS office in the NY org when I was at CLO EUS in the early 2000s. He studied at the CTO and stood out since he always had the nicest uniform parts compared to the rest of us
