I don't watch lives in vertical. You cant skip forward or backwards. The comment display is also terrible. I rarely watch verticals on replay either, because I like to watch the livestream comments back, and hate how they display there as well. As far as protesters streaming in vertical, the view is incredibly restricted and feels much less safe for them

Weird. I have YT Premium. I can absolutely close the screen and listen. And I can watch at 2x speed. And I’m on an iPhone.

I don't mind vertical when it is just a person talking. For the protesters who are also streaming for safety, horizontal covers more area. I also don't like watching the protesters in vertical.

For feedback, I watch on an iPhone and I can speed up the video as well as minimize it while in portrait mode. I have premium so maybe that helps 🤔🤔

I watch from my TV.. I HAVE A ROKU SO IF I WANNA COMMENT I GOTTA GO TO MY PHONE! So that kinda suxs but the chat goes waaaay too fast and too many ppl at once it's like roulette to hear a streamer pick your comments. Unless you superchat, let's face it, that's even a gamble. Having a dark background is a plus for portrait mode on TV. Dark shirt might help with focus, too, and keep hands out of camera view.

I was watching a live for the Chad Daybell trial and the victims were reading their statements. That was some heavy stuff. One of the moderators made a very rude comment about one of the victims. This mod went off on how much she did not like them. Then when others said she shouldn’t be like that she got more awful to people in the chat. She got pulled off as moderator and was not allowed back until she had apologized. I think that channel should have just pulled them off completely because it was unprofessional and completely awful to say things like that about a victim in that trial. I don’t like seeing them in the chat at all now. It really has ruined it for me and many others I believe as well. So what mods say in someone’s channel is huge, but you also need to keep a level of professionalism as well because you do represent in a way someone else. At least that’s my view point of it. 13:58

I'm on Samsung note 9 picture looks good. Portrait mode on somethings is awkward, it looks good here for just Aaron but what if it was he and someone else it would be odd maybe? I love my CZcams TV. I don't like portrait on there though.

Just wanted to let you know that I was watching on replay I believe I'm pretty sure I was it didn't say live so I would say replay I can't see the chat at all like there's just a empty black box as far as video I mean it I didn't seem to notice a difference I hate portrait mode on my TV but most of the time I'm watching on my computer so it doesn't really bother me either way but I hate that I couldn't see the chat all just a blank box i'm gonna take a screenshot and email it to you. Also my computer is Adele 2 in one so I can also watch in tablet mode and I either way I couldn't see the chat so I like I said I'll send you that screenshot and I hope and pray for Nan Tony it breaks my heart there such a beautiful couple and that they found each other is a miracle I hope they get another one love you all thanks UPDATE I can see the chat on chrome and Microsoft edge put the video quality thank you is garbage unfortunately or should I say POO 💩 💩 BELL. Portrait Mode is aweful!!!! Liz Gale would have gotten more visual video when you were assaulted by the "pitbull guy" by the test center - she was recording in portrait mode.

The BT Mic sounds better when held in front. It does pick up echo of the room, somewhat like the laptop mic - but MUCH LESS horrible. In the great outdoors, that might not be an issue. When attached under chin to shirt, sounds muffled - which makes sense since sound is going away from it... Can't beat the pro mic - sounds clear with NO background noise... Thank Christ Rabbit finally got a pro mic... Now I can listen to her streams - would not before.

For the folks having problem switching playback speed, rotate to landscape, change speed in settings, rotate back to vertical. Cuss the YT overlords as needed.

I'm violently against vertical because of how I use my phone and because of the number of bot-ish trolls that suddenly appear using the same worn out lines.

I live near Columbus and every time I drive by it's Dead. The problem with Cbus is that it's on a main road with no sidewalls and back from the road. It would be very hard to protest there due to being so far away from the building.

I watch on TV, computer web browser and tablet web browser not app. I hate portrait as a huge waste of space. If there are two protesters one portrait and one landscape, I'll chose the landscape even if I like the portrait protester better. For landscape you see the the environment. Also never like shorts and wish YT would allow me to disable the display as I never watch by choice. Ocassionly, I make a mistake and click on one I saved from notifications. I know YT is going after the short attention span crowd from TikTok but I hate the lack of information in shorts which are about 99% of them. They are over by the time they start. I know this won't change YT or decisions made by creators but maybe this will impact people who are addicted to the doom scrolling thing.
