  • Recently purchased a few Glock 26 +3 Pearce grip extension from eBay for $9 each! I was hesitant to buy them because I use to own a Glock 26 with +3 Pearce extensions. I would never used them because I would always get pinched but I found a solutions thanks for someone on youtube. Buy a #64 O Ring and it will fix the problem making it far more comfortable to shoot! I hope this tip helps anybody who has run into the same problem! Cost me $1 per O ring you will not regret it cheer!

Another Great extension is to use a G19 Mag with the Xgrip (19 to 26) and gives you 15rds. It’s the same length, when installed, as the G19. So if you do or can carry a G19 you can carry and conceal the 15rd in your G26. The grip is fantastic. Adding a threaded barrel to your G26 thus gives you a G19 in a G26 frame. I’ve added a 2rd extension (G17 Capacity) to my G19 carry plus a threaded barrel thus giving me a G17 in a G19 frame. I also mounted optics (over the top NO slide cuts) thus sight radius is not in the picture. I use a TLR-6 and a TLR-8 on the respective platforms as backup. I’m no fan of co-witness sights on a hand gun. Threaded barrel adds about .5 in in length and I’m not interested in Compensators (springs may need changes) or silencers

I know that process to well lol Don’t get me wrong I love the versatility of the G26 but I have come to the realization that guns like the G26 , Glock 43x , Sig P365 should pretty much be kept at the same capacity. The reason the G26 is so great is because it is very easy to conceal. Not saying there’s anything wrong with more capacity. I just think if your carrying A subcompact it should be kept as small as possible otherwise I think it defeats the purpose of having a small gun. I have larger capacity Compacts/Full sized if I’m worried about the capacity; I’ll keep my P365 as a backup gun! If it is your only gun like you said I would advise getting an X grip.

@@petenw5035 I like your response. However, my carries for either including the holster remain the same, only weight has changed with added rounds. I’m 74yo and elected to go to Optics and found them just as quick as iron if not faster. The other point, regardless of those expensive iron sights that claim they work in all to most light effects you would encounter, they don’t and find silhouette is the result. Not with optics, that dot is always there and the expensive slide cuts is not required. At 74yo I Truly love the setup in both. From bright sunlight to total darkness(with a lamp of coarse) that same dot is always there. All the changes that’ve made is to my personal carry and liking I know, but demonstrates the versatility of the Glock Platform and and no gun-milling to achieve Your Gun.

@@johngrunwell2412 I hear you I’m on the fence about red dot pistols for conceal carry. I do enjoy red dots I think they are very easier to acquire sights compared to iron but all things change with time. I have conceal carried RDPS before. Switched back to irons but overtime I may transition again. That is the great thing about guns there are so many different kinds best advice I can get is try everything you can go into it with an open mindset and really figure out what works best for you.

@@petenw5035 I agree with you in trying to keep your CCW as small as possible to better conceal. Round #’s have always been a big issue as seen here on FB. I kind of see it as in a close and up front defense 3 may end the issue. But again when the Adrenalin cuts in 50% of your learning fails to kick in. Esp. in lighter Carrie’s (.380, 9mm, and even .22LR) rounds expended are much greater than any hit counts. I do a lot of training, that I can, using the clock and round counts from 10 feet out to 50 feet and limit my mags to only 3 rounds in under 2.5 Secs from a draw. Love outdoor ranges, as indoor you can not draw. However, what I believe I can do may not be so in actual confrontations with various scenarios in play. Once the action starts, regardless of the play out, I like it to end and not with an empty mag. That’s how I train myself and big reason I truly love my G26 (short or long barrel). I’ll carry my G42 on occasions of dress. My G19 is my primary home defense, but carry able. Enjoy your conversation.

I have the glock 19 and 26. I been carrying the 19 mostly just for the extra capacity and minimal size difference. Good gun for sure 👍

Carry both (; use the G19 as your primary and the G26 as a backup that’s how I carry which is why I don’t care for the added length with the bigger capacity magazines. 15+15= 30 primary 13+13=26 backup add it together to make a total of 56 rounds I never feel undergunned!

If your going to use extensions, just get the 19, because the grip is now the same size negating the purpose in buying a small pew and the 19 still holds more.

I just don’t like being stuck at 10. I have a Glock 43x that holds 15. You defeat the purpose of having a small gun if you keep adding length to the grip. The extension are +3 so I’m already at 13+1 in the chamber and it’s still pretty small. I’ve had plenty of x grips with g19 and G17 Mags. To me personally doesn’t make sense to add the grip length. I’ll carry my 19 or 19x if I want 15 better yet my Glock 43x otherwise I like to keep the G26 as a backup gun similar to how people use revolver as ankle guns. Capacity isn’t always everything I will agree it does feel far more comfortable with the G19 Mags or 17. I just like every gun in my collection to have a specific role

If it’s hard to insert the magazine with the O ring, you chose too thick of an O ring. NOT too big in diameter, but too thick.
