"Relevant" is "relative" to what you prefer in a SD pistol. I like it simple, less expensive, accurate and reliable; Glock does that very nicely. I've been carrying a Glock 29 - 10mm daily, and it has all of the qualities I noted, in addition to BIG power; I like that. I just bought a Gen 3 Glock 26, as I wanted a 9mm and I chose the Gen 3 because it's a 10+1 and it has the finger grooves, which with a Pearce magazine pinky extension provides an excellent (full) grip. I'll carry it with Federal HST 9mm 124 gr. +P JHP's.
Love my gen 3 g26. Most useful and most used pistol I own. Bone stock, I carry mine hot with a 12 round magpull mag and a poplock trigger block in place, pocket carry anyday everywhere, 13 rounds ready to go
I bought a g45 last year, and I am amazed how well it conceals, and how comfortable it is to carry. I am not a large man , average at best. I plan on getting a 26, just because I want one.
I’m so glad I started shooting it again. I literally went to shoot it one last time before trading it in. Then quickly realized that would have been a mistake
I agree with that. I find 26 actually has less muzzle rise than longer slide glocks. I believe it has more to do with leverage than weight. At combat distance I’ll take my 26 any day.
GSSF gave me a new appreciation for the G26. I bought it to use in GSSF to shoot subcompact despite hating how it felt to me in the gun store. Once I put the GLOCK OEM +2 extensions on the gun and spending time with it, it’s become one of my favorite guns. I’ve shot my best times on all three GSSF stages using a G26 and my best overall time. The small slide has less reciprocating mass, so the gun stays on target and transitions to targets really well for me. In 9mm I tend to prefer shorter slides since the muzzle doesn’t move as much as the slide returns to battery.
I completely agree. It sat in the safe for aw after I stopped carrying it until I started using it in GSSF. I think that’s when I realized how good it was.
@@ScotchNThings GSSF gave me a greater appreciation for GLOCKs in general, as it encouraged me to use some guns I otherwise wouldn’t have paid much attention. My marksmanship also improved significantly. Prior to GSSF, I focused primarily on self defense training/shooting, which is more about accurate shots at speed on targets typically 15 yards and shorter. The matches forced me to hone my skills to make good hits at 25 yards. I now spend most of time time practicing at 25 yards. Thanks for the video.
I have a G19, G26, and a G43X. I typically carry my 19 and 43X most. I’ve tried to mod my 26 some and use 19 mags with xgrips and all but at the end of the day if I’m carrying a double stack I’d rather just carry my 19 cause with IWB holster the slide length really doesn’t bother me it’s about the printing cause I don’t like the flush mag on the 26 mainly the grip. But everyone knows there’s no perfect gun
Man, I agree!! I also have a 43 and 48. But I keep going back to the 26!!! It feels like a gun when you pull it from the holster!! I also have the 19, but only carry it OWB.
Wow, I had almost the exact same experience. I owned the G19, G43, G42, and G48. I found that I could carry my G19 almost everywhere, and when I couldn’t and had to carry pocket, I was using the G42. While I shot the G48 well, it printed the same as my G19. I ended up selling the G43 and G48 and getting the G26. I now have no doubt that I made the right choice. The G26 is so versatile and I am never concerned with capacity.
I have a Glock 19 and a Sig 365x. I've been thinking of getting the G26 to replace the 365x for a while now. Mainly as the G26 will compliment the G19 better, but more since I've gotten the 365x I don't have the confidence in the Sig internal safeties that I have in the Glock internal safeties.
That’s why I like Glock. The magazine compatibly. Also I’m just not a fan of sig. I don’t mind their older stuff but the striker fire stuff just isn’t for me.
Good Choice... Replaceing My P-365 With A Glock 26 Gen 5... 3-10rd Mags, With Pearce +3 Grips For 13rds Each, Also Have A 1 Glock 19 XGRIP Mag For 15rds...
👍 I carry a G17. I’m not particularly worried about printing since the people who notice are usually carrying but it is nice to sometimes have something lighter.
@@ScotchNThings All about what feels comfortable to you. I certainly don’t carry appendix with it. Usually carry strong side or an EDC pack. 4.5 barrel is the biggest for me.
I hate single stack shooting.. 26 is chunkier but with a holster claw.. Its no big deal on prints, ive tried many guns and settled on 26. 10 rnds.short grip. Mag options. I've tried mp 2.0c and 26 is more comfertable edc
Check out the MagPull 12 round magazines they are compact and work great. I usually run a G19 magazine with an X Grip adaptor. The 26 is my favorite Glock much better than the 43X.
Just a little theory about shooting better with the 26 then the 34. The shorter lighter slide has less potential to move when shooting fast. So you and me both get better sight alignment with a shorter sight ratio. I don’t own a 34, but I can say that the 26 gets on target faster and with less bounce (more stable). Keep in mind, I’m talking about at speed. Just my 2 cents.
I've shot this & it's great on the range, but I've found that the slide on it is much stiffer that the 19, 48 and even the Shield Plus. I'm not sure if I should give this one a second chance or just go with the 19, 48 or maybe the Shield Plus or M&P 12+1 Subcompact instead. Most of these (haven't shot the Subcompact, but have tried the 15+1 bigger brother with great results) have been reliable for me in terms of overall functionality, so IDK.
Ya it all comes down to personal preference. I love the 26. It shoots like a bigger gun then it is. At least for me. I haven’t shot any S&W stuff in years. So I can’t really remember how they felt.
The Glock 26 is THE most relevant Glock period. It can use a 10 round mag to a 30 round mag. Carry it with a 10 round mag, and when you go to bed at night, put a 30 round mag in and put it on your night stand (safe). Because in the middle of the night when things go boom, you are too groggy to reload. I made a video showing my Glock 26 with a Recovery rail adapter and an Baldr mini Olight and a 30 round mag as my full time night stand gun. Also out in the field, the Glock 26 is the most versatile because it's ability to use the Glock 17 and 19 mags. The 17 and 19 cannot use the 26 mag. Far as carry comfort and concealment, because the glock 26 handle is so short, it is one of the most concealable guns out there. And comfort is not too bad at all. And I definitely rather have 10 rounds than 7 rounds. I got a Sig p365x which is as slim as the 43 and it holds up to 15 rounds with after market mag but no where as accurate as my Glock 26.
I agree with you on the safe Queens. I also can't stand all the tactic cool robo people to. Or as we used to call them robo cops back in the 80's and 90's.
It's good that you bring attention to this. The safety ninjas some things are just pretty ridiculous. And when James Yeager was alive. RIP he would take his gun and he would point it at the camera and say the cameras is on its tripod and then he would pull the trigger. The safety ninjas must be cool. Also the G26 is light. Super light.
I think people go around watching videos just hoping they can call someone out. I’m all for safety but man it gets old. And I do miss his videos. I always wanted to go train there but it was always the same thing I’ll make time to go next year then the next year. I remember him saying people need to go train with Clint Smith and others because he’ll be around longer then they will. It’s really to bad.
It's a bit late to comment but I do like the idea of having mags interchangeable between larger models and a pcc also having rounds and mags interchangeable between 3 or 4 things is a huge plus ad well as sharing holsters if your going with a 19 or dagger or something
In blood diomond..Leonardo decarprio uses a glock 26 gen 3..there proven and you just can’t beat em..this whole single stack 43 9mm will have problems as soon as the small frame gives out
The 26 is perfect. It can flex to take larger magazines. Shoots like a larger gun. One of my favorites. Gen 3 parts are cheap and I shoot it way better than thinner pistols.
I've been carrying my Glock 27 since 1996. Pinky finger really has no purpose. I can shoot inch and a half grouping all day with 40 Smith & Wesson. A must-have is a Crimson Trace Laser connected to the handle
The slim models are for the very occasional, never shooting person who wants a pistol but it will just sit in a drawer. The full thickness, weighted 26, 19x are for enthusiastic shooters. Training, plinking on a regular basis. My G's ? : 17L, 40, 19X, soon 26 Gen5. Can't wait for Gen6 ‼️ 💥🎯🗽☮️🇺🇲✌️

You need to make sure the chamber is clear and should always visually check… Trigger discipline is a little iffy at 0:40. More training is needed for you. I recommend some private classes cause if not you could hurt yourselves or others.
I dont see how the 43 is still relevant, it basically has exclusive mags and the capacity leaves alot to be desired. The 48 however has alot of potential, glock should remake the 43 using the 48 mags so that you can have a complete line of pistols using the 48 magazine platform.
@@ScotchNThings I'm talking about 43, 43x and 48 all taking the same magazine platform. I have the 43 for EDC with +2, +3, +4 and 12 mag. If I had to do it over again I would just do the Fab Defense +4 and the ETS 12 mag.
I shoot my 26 better than my P80 19 and my gen 3 17. Don’t know why, but I do. To me it’s the most versatile and best Glock.
Brian Gilley ya I love my 26 but use it mostly for competition now
Man, I agree!! I also have a 43 and 48. But I keep going back to the 26!!! It feels like a gun when you pull it from the holster!! I also have the 19, but only carry it OWB.
Ya it just has a nice solid feel.
Gun Monkey I know. I can’t believe I was thinking about selling it at one point
..so I'm picking up my 26 this Thursday....what holster are you using ?..thx....ps all I'm hearing is accuracy with the 26....
The 26 shoots like a dream. The holster is off eBay. Ready man or better man concealment was the name. It’s one of my favorite holsters
Ya bigoive carried is the 19. I don’t think I could go any bigger
@@ScotchNThings All about what feels comfortable to you. I certainly don’t carry appendix with it. Usually carry strong side or an EDC pack. 4.5 barrel is the biggest for me.
Ya I’ve carried my 48 for over a year now.
@@ScotchNThings oh that be one to try but not legal in my State. Limited to Gen 3
Nice vid. Love my g26. She does everything.
Jarrett Tate thanks. Ya it’s a great gun. I can’t ever see a reason to get rid of it.
Very relevant. I have many CC options, but prefer the G26 over them all
I hate single stack shooting..
Will do. I have some magpul mags for my 19 and they work great.
G26 Gen 4 with a Trijicon SRO. (Slide cut by ATEi Milling.).
Great pistol. Very comfortable to shoot and in my hands, more accurate than the micro compacts.
I started using mine for GSSF competition. I love how it shoots.
Perfectly stated, brother!!
Love mind. Great guns and as you said versatile
I have had my 26 for right at 20yrs I believe. Have a 19 and a 42. The 26 is still my favorite and I am most accurate with it
Ya I was really impressed with how well the 26 is as a shooter.
Double stacks feel better to me.
It really depends on the gun to me. But man I really like the 26
The 26 is by far my favorite Glock. 19 is second.
Same 2 just flipped for me.
Have my glock26 gen 2.5 for over 20 years NO Problem !!!
Sam Escobar love mine. Use it for edc and competition
Glock 26 is the best glock to get first. Then buy any glock after that.
Love the 26
I agree with you on the safe Queens. I also can't stand all the tactic cool robo people to. Or as we used to call them robo cops back in the 80's and 90's.
Michael Carter haha. Never heard their expression before
I just bought a Glock 26 can’t wait to get it in my hands
Great gun. Carries small bus shoots like a full size
Can you share the holster's make/model?
I think it’s ready man or better man edc on eBay
Who makes the holster in the video?
cwprinting better man concealment
I keep my Glock 19 by my bedside for home protection with a 19x magazine and I edc my g26 daily with a 10 or 12 round mag.
What magazine is that for your 26?
DANIEL MOORE it’s the 12 round mag from glock
In holster = loaded
Genius. I like that system
Thanks it’s worked out so far
It's a bit late to comment but I do like the idea of having mags interchangeable between larger models and a pcc also having rounds and mags interchangeable between 3 or 4 things is a huge plus ad well as sharing holsters if your going with a 19 or dagger or something
Ya for me that’s a huge deal also. It’s why at the time I went away from anything that wasn’t Glock or Glock compatible.
Which holster is that for the g26
ConditionRed better man or ready man off ebay
The 26 is glocks best gun. The back strap promotes good shooting. More so from than glocks. It locks in much better
James Williams I was amazed at how well I shot it
19. Looking at 26. Thanks for the details & backstory. For anyone complaining speed up the video or skip around. Easier than leaving a janky comment.
Thanks for watching
In blood diomond..Leonardo decarprio uses a glock 26 gen 3..there proven and you just can’t beat em..this whole single stack 43 9mm will have problems as soon as the small frame gives out
The 26 is perfect. It can flex to take larger magazines. Shoots like a larger gun. One of my favorites. Gen 3 parts are cheap and I shoot it way better than thinner pistols.
Absolutely it carries well and I love it in hand.
The backstrap bump on the 26 is higher than on the 17/34/45. That fits many shooters better.
Huh didn’t know that or ever look close enough I guess. It’s a great shooter
Glock 26 baby!
@Oz Oz nothing makes glock irrelevant
what holster is that? pretty awesome
Got it off eBay from better man or ready man concealment.
Some people searches for things to complain about. Nothing unsafe, they can’t be shot on watching your video LOL
I am glad you can't stand that shit either. And I think the g26 is still great. I can actually shoot the 26 better than the 19. Crazy but true!
Michael Carter I’ve been shooting the 26 lights out lately
What brand is that holster on your 26.
How do you like it?
It was ready man edc or better man edc on eBay. Man for like 25 bucks plus shipping it’s one of my nicest ones.
Thank you very much.
Looked on EBay under both names and found neither one.
I've been carrying my Glock 27 since 1996. Pinky finger really has no purpose. I can shoot inch and a half grouping all day with 40 Smith & Wesson. A must-have is a Crimson Trace Laser connected to the handle
You do know that without the pinky you loose half your grip strength.
Why are you explaining something about a gun while it’s in the Holster? It should be out on display like the other 1 next to it.
Just bought a 26 gen 3 would love to try a 26 gen 5 too bad commifornia says the gen 5 26 is more dangerous then the gen 3 26 for some some reason
Ya I really don’t get their dumb laws. I feel sorry for you guys.
What’s the holster the 26 is in?
Better man edc. I got it off eBay
👍👍 for the rant alone 😀
Haha. You are welcome
The slim models are for the very occasional, never shooting person who wants a pistol but it will just sit in a drawer.
The full thickness, weighted 26, 19x are for enthusiastic shooters. Training, plinking on a regular basis.

I carried my 48 for a couple years before got to a Stacatto c2. Ya I can my wait to see what they do with the gen6
_I owned three (3) _*_Glock 26s_*_ until..._
The Glock 26 was my favorite glock *BUT* today my favorite carry Glock (CCW) is the *_Glock 43/43X._*
Which is an amazing "true" sub-compact (IMO):
The G43/43X is lighter than the G26.
The G43/43X is smaller than the G26.
The G43/43X is less costly than the G26.
The G43/43X is just as accurate as the G26.
The G43/43X is just as reliable as the G26.
The G43/43X is what more new shooters want & are using for Coronavirus concealed
carry self-defense (as I saw in my CCW/CHD class).
_Thus,_
For concealed carry the *_Glock 43/43X_* is much better than the Glock 26.
For home defense the *_Glock 19x & Glock 45 (9mm)_* is much better than the G26 or G43/43X.
BUT the powerful shotgun or rifle *should ALWAYS be use to defend your home.*
NOTE: _Magazine Interchangeability_
If you are not a government agent, in Law Enforcement, or on active duty in the military why
would *magazine interchangeability* with different Glock platforms matter - _talking about serious use of a firearm._
I have all three and enjoy all three. I carry the 47 right now but use the 43 and 26 in GSSF competition
@@ScotchNThings Agreed, all pistols I have ever fired from childhood to the US Navy till now were/are enjoyable to me too. The only exceptionality are the magnum calibers in the lighter handguns - they hurt.

Two word answer to the question. He'll yes!
Thinking I might get a gen 5 here soon
I'm thinking about trading my FNS 9c in for a Glock 26 gen 4
Mr 512 ATX23 I like the fn line of guns. It I just don’t like the hinged triggers they use
@@ScotchNThings I do too..just shot it at the range Saturday and I'm not going to trade it I'll just buy me another Glock
which holster is that? do they make them OWB?
Lee rX it’s better man or ready man. You can find them on eBay.
I can’t remember if they have an owb.
You need to make sure the chamber is clear and should always visually check… Trigger discipline is a little iffy at 0:40. More training is needed for you. I recommend some private classes cause if not you could hurt yourselves or others.
Who makes that holster ?
Thomas Osteen you can find him on eBay. It’s either ready man or better man edc.
I carry the G19 & G26 Gen 5's.
Ya I love both the 19 and 26 also.
@@ScotchNThings Absolutely! I'll be picking up another G19 & G26 gen5 as well. Gotta have 2 of each. 😎
Simple YES
Yep still one of my favorites
I dont see how the 43 is still relevant, it basically has exclusive mags and the capacity leaves alot to be desired. The 48 however has alot of potential, glock should remake the 43 using the 48 mags so that you can have a complete line of pistols using the 48 magazine platform.
Josiah VonB they do it the 43x. Shield arms has said they are working on mags for the 43.
@@ScotchNThings I'm talking about 43, 43x and 48 all taking the same magazine platform. The 43 was a pistol that was produced without foresight but now that they have introduced the 43x and 48, they need to scrap the original 43 and reintroduce it. It be like owning a 26, 19 and 17 but in the slim line.
@@ScotchNThings even if shield arms makes a mag for the 43, it doesn't help with the interchangeability between all 3 fire arms.
Josiah VonB that would be great if they would share mags like all the other Glock lines.
I like my guns like my woman THICK!!!!
Chi Chi Get The YaYo white boys love it too dont play us🤣
Whatever with the safety, if a guy shoots himself on a video so be it, if I did a video I would mention that and like you tell them to get over themselves.
Ya it’s like they go around just watching videos so they can say dumb shit.
Set Play Speed to 2. Skip the first 4 mins.
I think it's easier to conceal than the G43X because of the shorter grip, which makes it the best 10-round 9mm Glock has to offer.
How do you carry the g19? Iwb?
CF S1kR I carry it appendix with a green force tactical holster
@@ScotchNThings ok and the handle doesn't jam into your stomach? No printing?
CF S1kR not really if it’s a real strong wind you can see a hint of the grip. But if you have dark colors on it helps hide it. And I don’t really get poked when sitting.
I always have 1 in the chamber when make CZcams content. You don't want to be caught in a gun fight with an emty chamber in the midst of making your video. Every second counts.
M johnston they are carry guns. So ya I always have one in the chamber
26 is still my favorite carry. Hellcat is second.
Same and funny you say that. I picked up a hellcat and really like it
I've warn the finish off the slide my G26 gen 4 I've carried it so much. I may have the slide cut for a RMR. I've got an Holosun on my G19 gen 5 MOS . I carry them both and all the mags are interchangeable and that's why I keep them both.
James ES44AC -2 that’s why I can’t get rid of my 26. I shoot it so we’ll I started using it in GSSF. And I love the mag interchangeably
