The father's joy comes from using his child in an ILLEGAL fraud video. It is not real. and if CNN had ANY common sense or journalistic integrity to do simple research, they would have reported this as such.
I love the relationship between the boy and his father, that the boy goes back to his dad for comfort, and the dad cries for joy right along with his son.
this shows what all the rest of us take for granted! stop and watch a sunset, look at a rainbow, and cherish a beautiful painting. we take all the beauty in our world for granted!
Vincents paintings, I am colour blind and know I am missing out because his paintings look pretty average to me. I assume the full range of colours he used are not available to me. After seeing his reaction I am tempted, I will have to investigate.
Actually, I think you will find most fathers would do anything for their kids. Maybe not in poorer countries where people still have kids when they can't afford to raise them, or western society drug addicted parents that only think of themselves, but generally MOST parents / fathers, would do this for their children.
I can't believe all these heartless comments. These really work. How is seeing color a novelty that will wear off? It's people like this that make the world such a bad place. Why???????????????????
I'm glad to hear happy ending matter how old I'm getting. I think from now on I'll start watching they sort of videos before I go to sleep it makes me happy to know that people out there are getting better life for themselves.
I'm moderately color blind. I can tell the difference from red and green easily , but brown and green or blue and purple can be tougher if lighter in color. I see many colors, but some seem the same to me. (I always fail the colorblind tests). I just took the EnChroma color blind test and got result that with my moderate colorblindness, these glasses would only have a 50% chance of helping me and that the difference would not be very noticeable at first. So apparently these glasses are really for badly colorblind people. For them the difference is really noticeable right away and makes a huge difference in their life. It's cool to see their reaction. I'm happy for this kid.
@@bexnlevi I am very happy they did this. Let me explain to you why. First of all, what he looked at was a sunset. Pretty, subtle colours. Second, they had frisbees, to easily distinguish if this was working or not. Third, the rest of the environment was beige and calming. People with cochlear-implants that are able to hear correctly, don't get a cd with deathmetal. Same goes for the colours, you don't have to overwhelm them. Fourth, all the above shows that they thought about the child and his emotions and feelings *way more* than they cared about the views it might get if he got scared or overwhelmed and cried. This is how all of those 'look at the massive amount of balloons and this confetti and all our way-too-bright-shirts'-enchroma-moments should be.
Typical of my humour - instead of being touched by the emotion, I’m just giggling that the family seems to live in the most beige neighbourhood in the world... and on a cloudy day!!
There is always the moment of uncertainty of whether these glasses will work for someone or not, and when you find out they DO work, not only is it satisfying for the colourblind person, but for their families, too. It's especially true for parents of colourblind children.
Wiz Loon He's actually blue-purple and red-green colorblind. It's a common misconception that colorblind people have never seen colors/certain colors before- oftentimes they are just very similar or muted. It's not uncommon at all to know the difference between them, even if they can't see it all the time. :)
There are so many videos about people seeing color for the first time with these glasses. Do they really make people happier, though? What about after one year, when the novelty wears off and you're still having to either walk around with your "sunglasses" everywhere or go back to the less colorful reality which you no longer see as the norm?
Nope. Sorry. If the parents couldn't shell out 300 bucks for a LONG time - to bring this kid into to the light, shame on them. Wow. If this was my kid and I didn't have the money, I'd do anything to help. Also, I'm confident the train would wake me up in time.
Those who deny god, can't see even what this boy has seen now, because they never seen what it is like not to see color. there so much god has given you yet most human are just ungrateful to him, not understanding as well it was god gift to us,of brains and intelligence that was behind this boy seeing again. praise all to be the ( one true god who has has no partner ), those who deny him ( can't even understand purpose of live ), don't know why we they die and what will happen to them, and those who claim god will put them heaven and Jesus took everything for them, don't have proof except claim of priests false promises ( some of them pedophiles ) and changed book. and those who deny Jesus are like denying the sun being the sun and those who deny prophet Mohamed same and ( everyone will see and have his wages paid by god after his death,( the life of forever ) this temporary only. even rich billionaires can't stay forever here
I remember being a child and getting something really cool. Never wanted to cry. All this enchroma videos are fake and they are simply commercials. You cannot long for something you don't know. This could be OK if he lost his vision and got it back.
seeing his father cry for his son's joy touch me deeply. I wish every child could have a parent like this.
The dad's reaction made me cry.
i thought this had 27k like cuz it should

I love a great father who welcomes and shows emotions with his son! Awesome relationship! Need more dads like him!
His father is AWESOME!
The bond between the two made me cried.
Using your kid to commit fraud for money? Great bond.
Goes straight to dad for a hug. That one got me right in the feelers.
This made me cry 😢
Yea.. me too... ;-;
In that moment, all he wanted was his father. Powerful. ❤
Got me emotional to see boy and father bringing tears of joy.
Must be hard to be badly colored blind
Even harder when they see they got scammed by this company since if you know anything about color blindness, you know this is a scam.
this shows what all the rest of us take for granted!

Wonderful moment between the kid and his dad :)
When Cayson hugs Daddy..... oooh.... so sweet !
American dads are the sweetest ones in the world !

My day sucks, so I come and watch this and my troubles fade to nothing
Such a sweet kid!
I live for these kinds of moments.
You live for getting scammed by fraudsters?
That kids reaction made me cry
God Bless This Kid❤
Bless his heart. It mad me cry. My father is color blind also.
I can't believe all these heartless comments. These really work. How is seeing color a novelty that will wear off? It's people like this that make the world such a bad place. Why???????????????????
Damn video made me tear up. Just when I'm about to head out.
I'm glad to hear happy ending matter how old I'm getting. I think from now on I'll start watching they sort of videos before I go to sleep it makes me happy to know that people out there are getting better life for themselves.

I see colours perfectly but all I see in this video except for the frisbees and the kid's t-shirt is brown and beige.
We 3 cried.
Oh . who's cutting onions here😢
There is always the moment of uncertainty of whether these glasses will work for someone or not, and when you find out they DO work, not only is it satisfying for the colourblind person, but for their families, too. It's especially true for parents of colourblind children.

They gave him the glasses in the most colorless environment. Everything is brown.

My oldest son and both of my daughter's sons are colorblind. I wish I could afford to buy them all a pair of these.

This makes me feel sad
I've always wondered why they can't make contact lenses that do this
AllieHeart well...

cool..but i see from the comments below...if they make another Troll movie they can fill the cast here
They probably had to set out the frisbees because this is such a dreary time of year.
Jacob Bielski thank you for gettimg it right
*You're grounded, no more color for a week*
IDK if it is fake but if not it's such an empowering touching story. So happy to see a little boy's life changed for the better.
Spike 1984 its not fake. im in 6th grade now and still wear them constantly
Technically he was color deficient?
Nathan Taylor color deficient is used so people dont think that i can only see black and white. but same word basically.
😢😊👏
Straight up commercial for Enchroma. This shit is sad, big league.
Amazing how somebody who has never seen colors before could correctly identify the color of every single frisbee.

👍😭👍
Now he can play fortnite
mproto 13 already did😂
If the kid is seeing color for first time, how is he able to distinguish and name all colors as soon as he sees them🤔
Farooq Omer wait did he say the colors?
Did you even watch the first few seconds?

it doesnt ever get old. i wear them lots and dont get tired of them.
i also have a pair of indoor ones that help with screens and other things
WORST PARENTS EVER.
The glasses cost 300 bucks. And they drew it out as their son was saving his pennies. But glorious moment for the kid.
Why were you born?
I hope you don't have kids, Brian - if you're applauding these parents. They couldn't come up with 3 bills?
Nope. Sorry. If the parents couldn't shell out 300 bucks for a LONG time - to bring this kid into to the light, shame on them. Wow. If this was my kid and I didn't have the money, I'd do anything to help. Also, I'm confident the train would wake me up in time.
leave. hater.

the one thing you didnt get was a heart
These glasses worked on my nephew. It was not a fake reaction when he had a meltdown trying to process all the new colors. They work.
So you understand how others feel when they step in to a new world? Fk U.
i literally stepped into a full dimension of new things amd ur gonna hate because im known and your not.
