24x1 rubber wheelchair tire installation

Made this video because I had to install tires on a wheelchair, tires costed approximately $40 for the pair off ebay. And since the wheelchair was free because of the tires were bad I thought it was a pretty good deal, however didn’t realize the tires required a special tool. I learned the hard way, and overcame the issue. Finally got them both on and it works great.

I used a couple of ratchet straps instead of the clamps. Pry bars and zip lock strip. The ratchet straps really made it easier. Good video.

My late father left behind some wide tire pry bars. Probably more than 55 years old, but they should help a lot. I've heard the tire stretches better if left in the hot sun. Lay it on the asphalt driveway maybe.
