Check if the pistons are ok, then you may need a another Head and gasket if your Lucky.

Good job with the find and fix! I had a similar issue about a month ago with my unit. I was able to test it and the 35 micro farad it should have had was down into the Nano farad readings. (Way off of what it should have been.) Went and got a new one for $35 and solved my problem just like you. You referenced the 55 + 5 and the 5 +/- . The first number is the rating for the compressor (55), the second (5) is for the fan motor, the last (5+/-) is the tolerance rating percentage of those first two numbers. If is doesn’t measure within 5% of the labeled rating then its no good. Again great job with the repair!

When replacing Batteries The things to take notice of are ........ The size , Heigth , Width , Depth Which way around the Positive and negative terminals are And the CCA " Cold Cranking Amps " how much amperage is available at start up .

Dont look at the model number when buying a new one unless its a direct replacement. You want to look at the CCA (cold cranking amp) rating and the Ah (amp hour/total charge) rating. CCA must be the same or higher on the new battery, Ah is depending on usage. Stop/start vehicles have a higher Ah rating to account for the time stopped draining the battery. If this is lower on the replacement, the battery monitoring system will always disallow stop/start from working.

It’s possible you could run into an issue but most likely going to be fine. I have a 2011 grand Cherokee that needed a specific type of lead battery that cost over $200. I tried to look up a Blem for it without any luck. Turns out had I found a Blem and put it in, the way these run, it would not have lasted. In the Jeep’s case, it was engineered with that battery for a reason.

Ofcourse the battery numbers are gonna differ when ya compare 2 different brands. And ofcourse they'll be the same size if they made for specific vehicles. The difference that you're paying for would be for the quality and capacity. Yeah, it'll be the same, but good luck getting them to work the same when ya actually need em' to, especially in the colder climates. By the way, your new one CCA ampere rating is WAY lower than your old one.
