- What an adventure! As we know, weather can have a HUGE impact on celebrations and make things really tough for us. As a wedding DJ, you HAVE to be flexible and prepared for anything. The load-in was challenging, with steady rainfall and my trusty Rock N Roller cartwheel breaking down (after 10 years) while unloading equipment. Consequently, I had to make multiple trips in the rain and work in a more confined area since everything had to be squeezed in. Luckily, I have compact options and tech to make it work in any space. :) Although the rain altered our plans, everything turned out fantastic. Come check out how I navigated this unique historic event space on a rainy day in CT for this AMAZING couple.
🎉🎉🎉 somehow your mixes that great and I like that your mix is a better than Rick webs
YEARS ago, I had a wedding that had to be moved day of due to a hurricane and no power but they found another venue 90 minutes away and everything came together - caterer, new venue, flowers, me and almost all of the guests. I opened dinner music with " I Can See Clearly Now" and congratulated everyone for making this new location happen. Had most of the crowd singing along. Lemonade out of lemons.......
❤️🫡
You're awesome. Infectious energy ✨✨
Means a lot! Thank you!
So darn good. Bravo Rachel . Total PRO
This is so nice of you! Thanks for taking the time to check this out.
Great video. Last minute weather changes are the worst.
You always have all your bases covered and keep the client's wishes and dreams as the priority. Well done ! Please get your R+R cart fixed soon! I has one where one of the front wheels broke off and everything tumbled off..... ugh!
Rock N Roller was fixed 3 days later. Back to brand new for $70.00. 💯🙌🏻
As always, I love the content Rachel🎉 inspirational
Thanks so much!! This was a tough day but really fun couple. I appreciate your time to watch this.
Welcome back 🙏 have a great summer gigs schedule.
Thanks so much! Looking forward to a great season!
Great JOB, I really like the challenge of having to make changes and it WORKS> nice job...and I like that you list the songs
We gotta be flexible and make things happen on the fly. It’s the only way to be successful doing this. So many things can happen that we have little control over. Cool as a cucumber. 😌
Days like these will make you sharper and ready for any battle lol
So GD entertaining!
Rain is the worst. So is an underground sprinkler system……….
We make the best of it. Rain or shine we still have a good time. 🥳 Definitely made load in suck, but it’s all part of the job.
Thanks for your comment and time.
Great video and mixes.
Thanks! Appreciate your time to check this out.
Love the headphones 🎧 are awesome
Thanks! ☺️
🤘 one of those moving things you can pick up from a hardware store might be a good back up for cart fail moments.
Well the backup is the wheels that all my heavy gear has. Thank god for those. I have two wheels on order, cart will be back up and running by the weekend!!
You freakin’ rock Rachel!
❤️☺️ Appreciate you checking this out.
Yes DJ Rachel Videos are back. Always enjoy your videos.
Awesome job!
Thanks a bunch! Appreciated you taking the time to check this out!
Total rockstar! Such an inspiration, even in the failures, you shine!
I appreciate this. Thanks so much for your kindness and time.
Cool mix!!
SKB cases do the job ! well done ! I wish we had such great places in France !
🤩👏🏾🔥
Great to see you back in action. Great video, great wedding music and set up. Glad you have a busy summer. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah. I’m sorry I don’t get to post as much as I’d like to. Things have been really busy at work and family stuff. But I’m back in action and really looking forward to my events this year. Got some very unique ones.
Thanks for your time to be here! See ya next time. ☺️
@@DJRachelLynch not to worry. I enjoy your posts whenever you get the time to do them. Yes work and family keep us busy. I retired 2 yrs ago and often wonder where I found time to do everything!!!
Love your vids. You are my inspiration.
Thank you so much for your kindness. I really appreciate you stopping by the channel have a great holiday.
@@DJRachelLynch I keep getting copyright claims on my videos of live music being played. Do you think I should list the names of the songs in the video the way that you did on this one?
@@geraldwatkins3543 naming the songs has nothing to do with it. It’s the way you edit it to confuse the CZcams algorithm so that the copyright software can’t recognize the song there’s no formula to it. You just have to keep things short and try to play mash ups if possible.
Great content! I definitely give you praise doing everything on your own and having a positive attitude about it. Great job!
☺️ Appreciate it. I do this with 💯 love. Glad it shows even when it’s tough.
DJ Rachel is so professional. Keep up the good work. Hugs!!!
☺️ Thanks so much for stopping by the channel and your kindness.
Awesome setup DJ Rachel as usual only the best...
❤️🙏🏻
Now you got me second guessing my cart... I know I have way to much crap on it lol
But seriously, you're a professional throug and through...
Thanks for sharing.
Don’t worry! I beat the crap out of this thing for over a decade. I’m surprised it didn’t break a long time ago with how much I abused it. RNR makes great carts. Or at least the one they did 10 years ago they did.
Appreciate your kindness!
Rachel, as usual fantastic video, format, and content. Really liked that you isolated and named specific tracks. Will look forward to your follow up. Side note, taking advantage to ask your advice, Do you own and recommend a specific canopy / EZ Up when your gigs take you outdoors in daylight? So many choices. Thanks, and hope all is well. 👍🎤
I own just a standard EZ up. Nothing fancy. Thanks for your comment and taking time to check this out!
great gig log Rachel! Thanks for continuing to create content the way you do. Question on the in ears (I apologize if you all ready addressed this). I have generic Shure in ears I bought that I would like to eventually customize to something similar you have. How long is the cord? And can you request a long cord when getting them built? I worked on this day too at Eolia Mansion in Waterford. I stood in like 3/4" of water at one point in the tent in the back. I can empathize. lol
So it depends on the brand I assume, but Ultimate Ears offers MANY options to customize the look, sound, and accessories for their IEMs. I have an extra long cord and their Bluetooth attachment for daily listening. You can get a 64" cord. Some people add an extension cord. They are actually coming out with a three feet extension soon.
Sorry to hear you got rained on as well. But we still made it happen! 💪🏻
great gig log. those transmitters are clutch that you have on your everse's. i am looking into getting some sets.
They work great! I use them all the time!
DJ Rachel Awesome giglog. Love your work. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I have a random question, do you use a monitor speaker for your sets? I am curious how you hear your sets. Thanks so much!
I do not bring an extra speaker for a monitor. Never have. I use either headphones or in ear monitors like my Ultimate Ears UE11s shown in this video.
Did those Evolve 50s get arrested for assault and battery? Because they SLAPPED!!! Awesome gig log! And congrats on never having to pay another dime for drops! lol (P.S. Any update on the Spider-Man hoodie??)
Hoodie is still MIA. 😔
Thank you for another great video. I’m curious to know why you chose the black Everse 8 as opposed to white? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger and pick one up but trying to decide between black and white? Thanks again. 😊🙏
Because I don’t just use these at weddings or for wedding ceremonies. I use these for other events and as a satellite speaker like you see here.
Back is more resilient against marks.
It’s easier to touch up with wear and tear.
Black blends to the background better.
Black is ALWAYS appropriate. White looks great but sometimes can stand out more than it should. It just find black more versatile.
That’s just me. 🙂
Great video again, can you put the link for the satellite equipment? Thank you.
Thanks!

😊
Thanks for checking this out. ☺️
I like you’re enthusiastic
And soo beautiful
Yay, good to see you back Rach! How long does it take for your complete set-up?
Appreciate you being here! I feel bad I don’t get to post as much as I’d like to. Work and some family stuff have my time occupied but it feels good to be back and I’m so excited for my events this year.
Average is about 45 min to an hour depending on the load in. Bigger setups with totems and movers and/or Photo Booth can bump it up to 2 hours.
My actual booth and speakers only take about 10 minutes.
Rain is rainy
Nice video, as always! What’d you think of using the in-ears!?
It was very weird for me. I need to learn to trust my levels that I set during sound check. I felt the urge to check the room’s level all night but that defeats the IEM. I need some more experience with them to get comfortable but I toughed it out.
Love the mashups. Link for Dj pool to get some???
Most of these were mixed lived using the live STEMS feature in VDJ, but check out…

Hi Rachel my wife & I just watched your video -it was great . You are fabulous. how are you liking the new Infiniti L Booth? Does the bottom with the rack fit in the SKB Case okay? I really want one i like it a lot - not sure which color - i like black but afraid it will show every single light scratch marks so maybe the white is better? Thank You for all you do . Your the best 🎉
Appreciate you checking this out. ☺️ We had a blast. All of the booths fit in the SKB cases. Black does show marks much more easily. You could get it clear vinyl wrapped to protect it if you are concerned and really want black. Otherwise I’d get the white one, it is much more forgiving.
@@DJRachelLynch hi Rachel Thank You for the quick response- i think your right I’ll get the white one because I’m too OCD about scratches Ha Ha !
I was wondering if you're using your "master out" for the satellite EV via the transmitter, what are you using to output to the main system?
One of the two inputs.

Why did it take so long? Wedding season started in January. Oh wait, I am in Florida
Does yours slow down at all in the summer? Like ours does in the winter? 🤔
@@DJRachelLynch yeah, summer months are really hot and humid, so it slows down then
Rain always sucks on gig day , question do you always go alone to your gigs Rachel ? just asking seeing that you carry lots of stuff ?
I have help when I absolutely need it. But all of my gear allows me to be extremely independent. 💯❤️
@@DJRachelLynch well let me just say this ... YOU ROCK RACHEL !!!! GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS !!
Heyyy whats the name of the attatchment pack you put on the satellite speaker ? Its at like 7 mins in the video

You weant from all white to all black ::shocked::
I’ll be using all white next week. ☺️ I think it’s important to have options. My setup depends on the venue, and what would fit the best aesthetically.
@@DJRachelLynch Agree 100%. Always great info, keep up he great work.
I hear that using "ladies + gentlemen" in any intro's is now frowned upon.....ugh. I heard you use "families and friends". Some are borrowing from Steven Colbert and saying "Hello all you beautiful people". Your thoughts?
I think the repetitive use of "ladies and gentlemen" is irritating to hear over and over, but I don't see anything improper about it if someone wants to say it.
I try to switch it up. Everyone is family or friends, so it fits. I think MCs should say things that feel natural to them and read the room accordingly. 🙂
@@DJRachelLynch mixing it up....agreed.
