Dr. Yesudas came to Kolkata after 13 long years and was conferred the 'Living Legend' honour by the Salil Chowdhury Foundation of Music by Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty in the presence of Smt. Sabita Chowdhury.

I have been waiting to see respected Yesudas Sir recieving the "Bharat Ratna" ,which is already late...The way Antara ji sings reminds of her Mother,Sabita Chowdhury,who had als also a unique voice with strong and distinctive trait
One needs to see the SUR TARANG 2015 video performance of Sairam Iyer on CZcams to realise how lack Lustre this Orchestra performance is.
My thoughts exactly. The musicians in this orchestra lack the punch that Sur Tarang orchestra had.

Orchestra in the prelude sounded off note.The peppiness of the song got lost once the pitched was lowered.All in all a forgetable evening for the Orchestra nd Yesudas.Antara was the saving Grace.

Not even close to the original one. Yesudas ji and Antara di is in off form and made the beat slow. The original one used in the film is much faster. The opening ( Mukhra) spoilt by Antara Di.

The prelude was off-key at places. And ,I might be wrong, the legendary Jesudas is sounding a bit tired... somehow his singing seemed laboured at places.
You should credit him that he was still singing in tune at the age of 76.
He is 70+ when he sings this.

She is not talented as she should have been. She has problem in throwing notes from voice and there is no depth or enrichment of musical notes in her voice
