The second story is literally so horrific to me. Like, imagine the terror the people in the hot air balloon felt as literally everything engulfs in flames and suddenly you’re plummeting to the ground. Nowhere to go, you can’t see anything, and there’s flames engulfing you and the people around you. The airplane one was awful too, but at least you can imagine the people inside had quick deaths, since the plane literally exploded upon impact.
Kid sounded like my mom with the flying thing. She says "In the Bible, it says 'Lo I be with you', there's nothing about in a plane or balloon or helicopter." 🤣😆😂

damn.. I have never been on a hot air balloon but did not even know they could hold 16 people
The international Ballon Fiesta is happening now in Albuquerque, New Mexico where hundreds of hot air balloons come to show their vibrant colors and intricate designs. The second story hurts my heart knowing that so many people enjoy the balloons, only have that story end in tragedy.
The black boxes on an airplane does not record the words of passengers in the cabin. The black boxes typically record flight data. The Cockpit Voice Recorder does record voices. Nevertheless, even the CVR would not pickup direct conversations from passengers in the cabin. Although sounds can be recorded, the CVR would not pickup voices from those in the cabin. The voices spoken on the CVR are those of pilots in the cockpit. The final voices recorded are going to be from the pilots.
Word of caution, the CVR’s are often chilling because often you will hear screams which are from the pilots. You never hear screaming from the passengers. I recommend that if anyone is going to listen to the CVR from planes that have gone down, you prepare yourself to listen to the very last moments of someone life. Only in rare instances are the CVR’s silent at moment of impact. However, these CVR’s are crucial in helping us to determine what was going on in the cockpit, the black boxes will not provide that data/information. Yet, the black boxes will provide information as to how the plane was being operated such as flight controls, speeds, etc.
Lastly, I maybe wrong in this tragic event, but I’m thinking this was before collision mitigation was required. Today’s aircraft are required to have collision mitigation which sounds an alarm and a voice alarm for the pilots to climb or descend. This will be consistent until the pilots take action. Again, I believe this works in tandem with Ground Proximity Warning which tells pilots “Terrain, Terrain, Pull UP”, if the plane gets too low to objects on the ground.
With all the warning systems and alerts in aviation technology, you are much more susceptible to a car crash than being in a plane accident and typically this is why pilots are the first to be blamed when an aircraft does go down. More than likely, it’s pilot’s error that causes a plane to go down.
My high-school St. Augustine (located in north park), was just a few blocks away from the crash site of flight 182, they use the school's gym as a makeshift hospital to treat all the injured people in the crash,

If the pilot is having a bad day then you will have one with him??
Kidd your right man...your more likely to have a car accident compared to a plane crash however your chances of surviving that car accident are high compared to that of a plane wreck
In my opinion Kidd should pause the video whenever he writes something down because in writing the info down it takes him out of the moment so where something surprising is said he doesn't react in a surprised manner.
I wouldnt put the ownice of the deaths only or even primarily on the pulots of the bigger plane. Why? Because its clear as day that not only was some of the responsibility on them but also the OTHER pilots in the smaller plane AND the command center people. Like even in the story it was pointed out how at several crucial moments ALL OF THEM were negligent. I actually REALLY dislike them putting the majority ownice on those pilots when given that the pilots of the smaller plane did the exact same thing AND the command center people neglected to notify BOTH SETS OF PILOTS ABOUT THE IMPENDING CRASH. You would THINK the more important of the 2 to jotify, if you HAD TO only choose 1, would be the one THAT COULD DO THE MOST DAMAGE AND HAD THE MOST PEOPLE. But I guess not
Also like, it sounds like Air Traffic only told them about there being ONE cessna in the vicinity to look out for. Like, they said 'look out for a cessna' and then they saw a cessna so, why would they think it's a different plane?? They were only told about one(unless they were informed about there being a second one but, it doesn't sound like they were).
Airplane? Parachute? What? When do people use parachutes on commercial airlines?
How often do people really use the rafts on a commercial plane? It's not about how often the thing is used but how necessary it would be to help with survival IN CASE something goes wrong. That's what PRECAUTIONS are for
