I got her out of there and called the emergency line. I was scared and found out way later from a friend of mine who's a paramedic. That lady is now celebrating sobriety. I think of her often. These went how I expected: The more "supernatural" seeming ones are most likely fake or staged. It's all too easy for someone to claim they're "alone" and have friends move stuff around to play up the spook factor. The others? Squatters, homeless people and other folks poking around. Ik I'm late to this but it's definitely not like rabies, prion disease is literally random and it can supposedly happen to anyone which is why it's scary. The animal I'm most familiar with that typically get this disease are deers! And they can spread this prion disease by contaminating food or water sources and that's how other deers get it. Funny thing is, any animal AND humans can get this. It's completely RNG and the only way to eradicate said infected prions is to literally burn them but with extreme extreme high heat.
