      @BevansDesign Před 2 lety +3

      They would need to do the whole body though, because it'd be really weird to have a normal human head on that body. Or maybe not? Weird is certainly an option worth considering.

    • @JayJonahJaymeson
      @JayJonahJaymeson Před 2 lety +6

      They could possibly do it by acting out Gollum's parts infront of a greenscreen, add that footage over the top, then run it through deep fake software to add Andy's on. It'd be a crazy amount of work though, even for only a few shots.

    • @atch300
      @atch300 Před 2 lety +2

      Although I agree, I think it’s because the average audience doesn’t know what to look for when it comes to cgi artistry. The aim of most paintings are to be realistic, and well, advanced technology can do that for us perfectly with ‘computer generated imagery’. The real artistic value comes in modeling, animating, and rotoscoping but that may not be realized since paintings have none of those characteristics.

    • @TheSecondVersion

      My favorite part of watching the credits of Marvel movies (after the mid / post credits scenes) is looking for the *massive wall* of names listing the VFX crew. You *need* a lot of them to pull off the effects in a big-budget blockbuster

    • @dank316
      @dank316 Před 2 lety +3

    • @lhb82
      @lhb82 Před 2 lety +5

      CGI is the short term for Computer-generated imagery... but as Daniel Knight said, there are other terms for the artists and their work. Something can be CGI in the same way Mona Lisa is an oil painting. It just describes the elements used in the creative process.

    Thank you for this video.
    I gotta admit I've never seen what the Voldemort actor actually looks like in person. Such a difference and it's not even the nose. I'm absolutely blown away that someone so kind-looking in real life can become so effective as a movie villain.
    And of course, thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill with VFX techniques. Watching you work your magic is... Well... Magical. Fantastic skill! I love how you always take a thing and always seem to know what to do to achieve the effect you're looking for. Incredible to watch.

    With the focus on the foot I rly thought it will be a vessi sponsorship ( dont get me wrong I love all your sponsor segments tbh) but damn Dean you knocked this one straight out of the park. It's cool to see you at CC taking those type of sponsor that rather help people out there than just earning you lots of cash. Keep it up and get well soon Dean.

    Dude I today completed watching all eight movies and the also the reunion after 20 years and I love this. I opened up youtube after that and saw this. You made my day. Hermione, Ron and Harry are the best. They acted well

    Wrens enthusiasm is so infectious. I want him to teach a class. About anything really because it would be so engaging.
    I would attend Wren's seminar on DMV etiquette and probably have a blast.

    11:08 Never noticed it before, but nice verical mouse, I got a Delux M618 years ago and even tho it wasn't the best, it greatly reduced my wrist pain, I now daily drive a Zelotes C-18, the joystick is only for macros and such as is totally digital.

    Haha great video! I liked the interview's flow with the edits as well. All the info was really interesting too and feels like I could follow along if I tried the software.
    Now for the real challenge, can you make someone in an interview have Nigel Thornberry's nose?

    In terms of what villain I'd love to see you guys do next: any of Andy Serkis' CGI roles. Snoke, Gollum, Caesar. I know Caesar isn't a villain but to have an ape appear in all his movies and interview could be hilarious.
