It's interesting how the old C70 was based on the big S70 and V70 chassis, whereas the newer C70 was based on the smaller S40 smaller chassis. Also, the old C70 T5 had 240bhp and 155mph top speed, whereas the newer one had only 220/230bhp) and 149mph top speed.

I love my 2001 C70 which is now 20 years old and done 180,000kms without any problems.
cool car, still worth the money
I own a white 99 c70 coupe with the gt package. Its says only 603 were made from 98-2002 and only 135 were shipped to the United states. That's 27 a yr so it made me feel very lucky to have one. Berlin wi. 54923 usa.
just if its a manual... theyve sold over 6.6k c70 t5 manual coupes and convertibles, only 603 were coupes... dont have exact number of autos, but manual convertibles outweight the coupes 10:1

I have one too and its an amazing car. The production numbers you come up with arent true however. There were actually 70.000 1st generation c70s produced. 24.395 coupés and 45.000 cabriolets.

not the inferior 250BHP fly by wire one..

What's this story that how the Volvos look is not beautiful! I loved the 700 series design and same for the 900 series. The 850 was stunning back in 1992 and the station wagon became such a design icon! So what are they talking about?
I agree. Every review of the C70 i've seen complains that all Volvos that came before it are "ugly" although I beg to differ. I own a C70 coupe but i think the 850R is a better looking car overall. Not to mention beautiful classics like the 700 series, P1800, and Amazon.

The Peugeot 406 coupe is pretty. I thought about this, not filosofical like Hammond ..it is the choice of "karpov with wife natalya" at google, if you are intelligent, and sorta nordic, ish, and not a guy who is the boasting type. But your wife does the Glamour for you, so to speak and you wouldn't say it out loud but you could buy two, making the whole question peugeot or the Volvo irrelevant ok. But. Why him. Qual e la parola justa..many coupes have this gotten rich fast and oligarch thing, and the Volvo c70 does not.
