Your video just showed why, as a computer repair tech, I don't repair Microsoft Surface tablets: if you're lucky enough to not break something during disassembly of all the glued togeter parts, it takes forever to fix! Your 48- minute video was actually probably a 4 to 5-hour repair!
You are right, they take more time than it’s worth. I wouldn’t try to remove a good screen to fix the board. This came with a broken screen, part of a job lot of laptops and I just couldn’t let it go to the landfill
