This would have worked a lot better if I would have kept the potentiometer facing down. It would have saved a lot of the spillage but I could not show what I was doing on video. Also a bit of the sound is missing for some reason in the middle of the video but it comes back after a minute or so

@@FredyArg If you are sure the chip is faulty you can use max temp and airflow
Nice work. Would hot tweezers or two soldering irons make removal a bit quicker and maybe you wouldn't have to keep using low melt on them? I've not done any of these yet, so it was just a thought.
@@JustInspiredKent Thanks! To be honest, I used 2 soldering irons to speed up the process but you have to be very quick and accurate in removing them. I showed the safest way I could think of and with tools that most people that do repairs have on their benches. I tried to save someone that does this repair for the first time from having to explain to a customer why their £1000 tail light looks like it was fixed with a flamethrower 😄

Excellent job and thanks for passing on the knowledge 👍 The backing reminds me a little bit of the WRGB LED tape strips, you have to be so quick to solder to not melt the backing tape!

Nice repair. By the sounds of it this unit may be back again for another issue when the tripod falls over the next time.
The Veo cameras are quality hardware but not many electronics survive a fall from 4m (I think that is roughly the height of the tripod).

Way to fix the original jack. Nice to see magnetic screw tray being used. Helps keeps the screws together with the laptop should the repair have to be continued at a later date.

To fit a donar ic is one thing to fit a brand new ic is anther ball game 😅😂
It’s not that different, you can apply leaded solder to the new ic beforehand. The problem is the big number of fake chips being sold

Hello. Mine work but sometimes it goes bananas like someone is pressing the screen so i have to turn of the power to get it working again. Seems like it happens when the car is cold inside. I have done the calibration today and when i test the screen it responds fine all over. I don't know what i should do. Do you think that the digitizer screen is starting to fail? My car is a late 2019 model eNV200 Van.
If it keeps happening I think you should just replace it. For £10 and half an hour work it’s definitely worth it

I managed to fit new digiscreen, it took me bit of time to connect the ribbon but in the end it paid off. My touch screen is working now. Thanks to you. I can't work out how to calibrate the screen but all functions and letters works. Bingo. Cheers.

It could be but first I would check the hdmi port connections and the surrounding components including the filters

@@electrorep3 which is the better one you use ? I’m using the SRA flux which Is American brand, don’t really like the cheap fluxes as there not great and genuine Amtech in UK is expensive
I tried the SRA, is not good at all. I use Amtech usually or ChipQuick SMD291 but they are expensive. Try Mechanic SD360 from aliexpress, is cheap and quite good
@@electrorep3 yes I know the SRA is not good, bought it thinking it’s good as it was a USA brand but I was wrong, I do have a different chipquick one and I actually got the Mechanic SD360 which is the best Chinese one I tried but not as good as Amtech
Your video just showed why, as a computer repair tech, I don't repair Microsoft Surface tablets: if you're lucky enough to not break something during disassembly of all the glued togeter parts, it takes forever to fix! Your 48- minute video was actually probably a 4 to 5-hour repair!
You are right, they take more time than it’s worth. I wouldn’t try to remove a good screen to fix the board. This came with a broken screen, part of a job lot of laptops and I just couldn’t let it go to the landfill

@@electrorep3 thanks that helps a lot. The stop and tail light share the same leds (in parts) are they all the same? Do know the product for the indicator by chance? I want to replace every led, not keen on putting the light assembly apart in the near future…

have tablette dell venue T07G 11 pro ,I left it updating at night, and in the morning I found it turned off also the power light is off I tried most solutions in the dell's sit but always still off,I checked the power charger it's good it gives 19.5v and when I checked the connectors battery emplacement I found 2.23v, my friend tell me you must change the battery, but I think perhaps the Dc power jack board of computer is it out, please could you help me
Unfortunately it could be many things, without having it on the bench is hard to diagnose. I can’t just tell you to replace the charging port or other parts, you will waste your money. Try a local repair shop or if you are in UK you can mail it to me, details are in the description

Just found this channel and this guy is very professional with keeping temp profiles on these tiny parts safely and preheating as much as possible to prevent too much heat on the chip for too long. Should have way more subscribers. Look forward to more videos. Hey does anyone know what causes the touch to go out on older Ipads? Is it many diff chips or filters or usually one general part. So many touch screens fail on early ipads so have many to repair and bring to life again..

I have an ATEM STUDIO HD and the multiviewer output is not functional, comments saying that it is the CPU or voltage so that the cameras can be seen in the multiviewer.
