Roanoke MTB: Leaf Surfing in Arcadia !!!

Mountain biking in Arcadia, just a few minutes north of Roanoke, VA is another awesome back country adventure, especially in the fall, leaf surfing all over the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest. We ride the Pine Ridge Trail and Little Cove Mountain Trail as well as the Glenwood Horse Trail in this video.

You need to come back to Arcadia in the summer when its not sooo leafy. It's a beautiful place to ride with some awesome swimming holes for that post ride dip and beer. Many more trails out there for you to ride! Loved the video!

Anglers ridge is very fun - not as technical as some of my favorite trails but still also awesome

Good stuff! For anyone interested, there is a 100k/50k race in the works for April 2024 that will cover these trails plus some other good stuff near by. I plan on posting a course preview once we get a full approval.

What is harder? Riding on loose leaves, ice and snow, or just wet slick after rain or storm?

Both are hard - really wet should be avoided but slick is probably worse
