I don’t think his university has much to do with his situation. Up until a few years ago he was a gutsy 3:57-3:58 miler who won a lot of second tier US Pro races. He has put in the work and he’s PRing at 29 years of age. But you have top US middle distance runners signing pro contracts out of high school or a year or two at the university. I imagine he’ll be competitive for another 4 or 5 years. So it seems like there should be some sponsor out there for him. Poor guy mentioned that his girlfriend has to pay for all their dates and he has to live with his parents in his last interview.

Holt should have gunned for the 800 team, based on his recent 600/300,300,300,600 workout. Starting with 1:18 and finishing 1:17 is anaerobic beast mode.

College has nothing to with Eric situation… Bing has had Emily Mackay + Dan Schaffer who where both NCAA qualifiers and even All Americans both are as well professional athletes running for New Balance and ON they are recent runners from 2 years ago … do more research!

Now how many of those people who are distance runners with sponsors come from small schools? Barely none. Its nc, yale, nau, ucla, Stanford, Harvard, princeton, Florida, Michigan, Virginia and cal. All but nau are considered power 5 or big schools. YOU should do more research

@@everythingtrackno doubt Mid or low D1 schools don’t usually get many professional that is correct but to say that a runner isn’t professional because he went to a smaller D1 is not true in Eric Case it has to do with him being 29, doesn’t have a major social media following or support that follows him, doesn’t have any major wins that can qualify him to be a potential risk for a 1500m Olympic or world championship final. All of these problems are big for corporate brands as they sign people who have years ahead of them and have Market value … I would know because unlike you I ran D1 track and pay attention to the sport if you don’t like what I gotta say then don’t post inaccurate things

@@ronnarunners4625 i do run track 💀 i have numerous of friends that are d1 and follow me and i run with them at practice here at southern miss. Im telling YOU as somebody who DOES currently run track, you not finna tell me low to mid d1 schools are evening touching high d1 schools in sponsorships. You can but its hard because you have little media coverage

@everythingtrack media coverage comes from being fast lol and small d1 aren't fast usually. Tell it to nick symonds lol. You way off base.

Nah bro, if anything you get even more recognition when you make NCAAs from a school nobody heard of, it makes you stand out, something for the commentators to talk about too.

Yeaaa that’s not true that’s only true if you are a small school and constantly win over the years like nc a&t. Nobody cares about a random eastern Michigan 4x100 team going and going blown out
