Amazing work guys, thank you! We were thrilled to see our little Golf looking a million times better! 😄🙌
Our pleasure. It was great fun.
I didn’t realize you can use dry ice on so many surfaces, thanks Jon 👍😁
Dry ice is so effective, but so expensive! Major improvement, thumbs up guys!👍
Loved the Violin and Cello music in this video 👌
I'd love to have a little unit with a ramp and ice blasting machine to offer the service on bikes and cars my OCD would love it.
What a great job guys :)
Very satisfying clean and as always a brilliant job.
Amazing. First time heard of dry ice cleaning
I have seen dry ice cleaning before but not on some of those surfaces such as upholstery, various trims...Interesting. Thankyou Jon
Love the result, hopefully someone will get this back on the road, maybe fix some of the problems and enjoy this car. The dry ice is very interesting, as is the cost to a business to buy the equipment, the Pro Detailer magazine (17) has a good piece about it. All the best 👍 Jon.
No idea dry ice could be use on so many surfaces! Like magic 😂
Wow that’s amazing you guys well done 👍 ❤
Love it!!!!!! Could you consider showing Before & After shots ? Either one after another or a side by side image ? Helps us recall how bad it was without having to go back into video . Again, love it! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
It can be really difficult applying common sense these days,,,
Jon . You know you never wear the Sherlock Holmes hat and using the Monoglass. It’s only fitting for a task like this: Nonetheless you’d look Awesome in that hat👍. Loving always seeing you working with Reg👍
Loved this video i have just got hold of a very low mileage 1 owner jaguar x type that i am desperate to get the paint outside to be the best it can be, and am very amateur at valeting at best fancy a job @forensic detailing
Great video about the dry ice 👍👍. Isn't that the guy from the TV series campervan?? He looks like the guy who restored "dibsy" and raced it on the quater mile drag strip??
wax never dies 😆
What’s the cost to dry ice a car like you did?
Coming soon m8
Interesting
Looked like your foam cannon is dead 😆
That rust looks terminal😐
Yeah - dry ice is great technology, sadly the pricing at the moment doesn't really makes sense for average detail job. Sure when working on priceless classic cars, or doing big restoration detail like here, where it would probably take forever to do in conventional ways, or there is simply no really good way to remove say mould or moss growing in the fabric seats this is probably the answer.
But for normal person detailing their own car this is prohibitively expensive. I was looking into prices and this would be £2000 if I take it to the detailing place that does dry ice cleaning (and this is just underside and engine bay), I found industrial cleaning place in midlands which would do the underside of the car for £1000. So realistically this doesn't make sense as a "detailing" product. I even looked at renting the machine, it makes little bit more sense as week hire would would be ~£870+VAT, but that still means you need to have basically a workshop where to plug it in, you need to have lift to lift that car and so on. So for detailing shop that probably makes sense e.g. maybe they can schedule in 5 or even 10 car for that week, hire the machine for the week, do all the dry ice blasting and that averages extra £100-200 per detail and maybe let's say £300-400 extra for the customer.
If it is some £50,000 Porsche we talking about, or generally highly valuable car with full restoration detail, and perhaps a car which requires extra care, then £300 extra makes sense, in the end of the day for maybe £1000 detail job overall that won't make the difference, but it will elevate quality of detail to the point that is otherwise probably not possible with other means, so it is worth it. But for normal person working on their £5000 worth car on their driveway... forget it.
I wish we get to the day when there are places with these dry ice machines where you can pay per hour, almost like self-service pressure washing, perhaps something like £40/hour and £10/kg of dry ice. So you can come pay per hour how much you need, maybe 1-2 hours should cover bits in interior, the engine bay, wheel arches etc. Perhaps 3 hours to do underside. That would be amazing and I would definitely use it, but at the moment it is just too expensive to use for normal people. For high end detailers spreading the cost across maybe 10 customers... yeah sure, that is alright. Even buying marching is probably not bad idea if it is often used. £5000 get entry level, ~£10,000 one can already buy powerful professional machine. So if detailing place does it often, then why not... it probably pays for itself within months.
Open a self serve dry ice wash bay. You'll kick yourself when someone else does it ..
@@benbirch2393 I am not really in car wash or detailing business, more of just working on my car as hobby, so probably will pass on starting whole new business venture in this area. To be honest I was consider it, but not gonna happen realistically...
However, if somebody else does it then I would definitely use the service - in London area please!
Hello my friend did you find out where the dry ice machines can be purchased , if so is it poss that you could send me there number or link, kindest regards mark !!
😊😔😊😔😊😔😊😔😊😔😊
Me having an internal argument about wanting to buy a dry ice machine for personal use.
i think having a proper lifter or access to one really is important to get the most out of it dave. i got a follow up video with luke talking more about or the technical stuff with dry ice.
👀👀😱😱. Wow Wow👌
All getting a bit out of hand now this detailing game.
I would have driven it into a lake.
Dry ice cleaning is not cheap
I thought this was an upload from the Forensic Detailing Channel but silly me it’s the Wax is Dead CZcams channel.
