Great video Dave love the behinf the scenes bits the debriefs are grest to listen to what a hige task it was for you all 😮 A well deserved success. Looking forward to Chester and Blakemere.👍
Fascinating to learn the problems of moving large portable layouts in tight deadlines.
Thank you so much for the upload.. it is so good to have a behind the scenes listen in. I find that I have more of a connection with the finish layout . Thank you so much.
Colour (coding) for immediate recognition could make the jigsaw easier to decipher (?????) … just a suggestion … I’m so glad to see that you’re all still friends … well done everyone. 🙏🙏🙏
Excellent video Dave and proved very informative with a lot to think about as they go forward.
Thanks dave nice to see u all having another duscussion and debrief
I still think a company such as Eddie Stowbart should have offered to cover the transportation. A driver and couple of lads to do the lifting would have helped you guys and would have been free publicity for them.
Is Eddie stobart still a thing as u don’t see them as much now it’s only the trailers I’ve see
Cullina now !
This debrief sounds so like some of the large complex IT systems I’ve been involve in. So many moving parts to align where a small delay in one step has a larger knock on effect on the overall project. The segment on volunteer operators also reminds me of the need for good training as the system is handed over to the day to day operations team. Are they ready/can they handle the day to day problems
Maybe get Phil a gold chair and let him sit on it on top of the table. Might save time. :D
Thinking about power districts, instead of having a booster doing a section of all tracks and another booster doing the adjacent section of all tracks, have a booster for each complete circuit of track and no other track. Extra sidings could be an additional booster(s).
Thought I was seeing double, I never released you had twins there on the record-breaking train, etc. as said at least they are wearing different colours LOL
thanks dave. that was a frank and honest debrief. hope you dont have to do that again. caroline
