@@chef1403 I don't think mine was a carolina reaper, perhaps a Trinidad or bhut jolokia. I had no idea that gloves were recommended for handling and slicing them. My hands felt like burning for the next 48 hours. I mixed it on my lunch without the seeds so it was ok to eat
Mad respect to Guga for not just making these for just Angel and Leo, but also eating the burgers along with them. Guga calls this revenge, but he definitely experiences the most pain of the three. Absolute champ.

@@chickenlover657 It's not bad until you add the heat element or have your face in it. Which is why I think he did the chili oil flash fry and probably dipped. How do you think pepper spray works? because it doesn't unless you actually hit the person. Pretty sure that's why he diced it instead of blending it like Angel and Leo did. Things get hot when you blend them because of friction created between the ingredients and blades. Science.
If I was Guga I would have made my burgers LOOK the same same, but add milder ingredients. That would have been a true payback :D

For revenge, I would have made the "control" look completely normal, but used the "juicy Lucy" method to have a pocket of SUPER spicy queso inside of the patty. A bite of that while unprepared would be a fitting punishment for that last episode where they got you.
I'd have gone for the ol chemical weapon of English Condiments, a healthy amount of English Mustard. That'll clear your sinuses out in about 2 seconds flat. Personally love it and brown sauce on a homemade burger.

It looks so yummy. Some years ago, I powdered a Paqi One Chip and used it to season a pot of Mac and Cheese that had garlic bacon mixed in.
It turned green, because green means poison.
As soon as I saw that Samyang sauce I was thinking "Man, that's already hot with just a bit!"
Then he just went insane with Da Bomb and using the hottest peppers with a chili oil for level 3!

By the way, the best thing to cut off very spicy food from the palate is ice-cream, water is terrible because it only spreads the heat around the mouth; better off going dry, and milk is not sweet enough because the sugar is what alleviates the pain from the heat. I learned this sugar trick with the good folks from Bahia, and for me nothing beats Ben & Jerry's. Chicolate fudge brownie to the escue!

If you want to get around spicy foods, add just a bit of lemon juice. It works like a charm. For example, I have a cocktail that calls for half an ounce of ghost chili vodka (among other things) but it also calls for 3/4oz lemon juice and that makes it to where even people who can't tolerate heat at all can still drink this cocktail (reply to my comment for more details if interested).
How does that work, does it also work to ease pain after the fact?

All I know is that I made the same cocktail with and without the lemon juice and the one without the lemon juice I could definitely feel the heat but the one with the lemon juice I couldn't feel it nearly as well.@@motianton
The recipe itself is simple: Half an ounce of ghost chili vodka, one and a half ounces of cucumber vodka, 3/4oz lemon juice, and 1oz simple syrup.@@Algaean

Level 1? Any day. Level 2? Maybe occasionally. Cooking on the onions sounds so good, and that Buldak is amazing! Need to get some of that sauce. Level 3? Idk. I'd maybe give it a shot if offered, but idk if I'd seek it out. Definitely will try some of those techniques but toned down a bit.

@@BeyondKawaii well i've got good news and bad news: good news it's still hot 'n' spicy the bad news guga can't take capsaicin very well and will unintentionally despice but it was never about the spice it was about what flavour the spice brought to the burger.
