Thank you! Great teaching video. I'm confident I could replace one after studying your vid. Too bad I have a '95 dakota...the manual says the fuel filter is on top of the fuel tank and requires removing the tank to gain access to the fuel filter 😢

I feel for you buddy. I'm am so glad mine is on
the rail like that. I think they changed that the
following year after mine in '94. I need to change
my fuel pump though anyway. It works fine,
my fuel guage is all over the place... LOL Some
problem with the send on it or something. 🍻

All I've ever had to do is turn the key on and wait
about 20 seconds and then crank it over. The
line pressure should return to the injectors if you
      had no problem before.

@@samuelherman4859 Actually the number of the filter is Part 52004611 Mopar OEM.
I know on some later Dakota trucks the fuel filter is on top of the fuel pump. That may
be your case. Look on the driver's side frame rail, if it's not there, yours could be a part
of the fuel pump. A tough fix from what I gather... Good Luck with your repair. -Al

Could the fuel filter cause the gas gauge to not work

    • @bigalsmallengines
      @bigalsmallengines  Před měsícem

No that has nothing to do with it. Either you have
a defective fuel guage or the fuel pump has a
      defective float or sensor.
