    The expiring date for makeup is a good marketing trick from the beauty industry, if it looks, smells and performs well, there is no problem using it, dont throw it out because who is going to finish en eyeshadow palette in 18 months??

    I disagree on the lid primers. I have really oily lids and I have tried not using lid primer, I’ve tried concealer on my lids doesn’t work. I’ve tried almost everything the only thing that works is my urban decay primer potion. I guess it depends on if you have oily lids.

      I Agree. Oily eyelids really need a good primer. I don't have oily lids and I still prefer a great primer! It looks so much better than concealer because concealer has more emoilient ingredients so it's not meant to prime the eye lids!

I will try more the drug store mascaras because of the shelf life but a lot of them really make my eyes red so generally I don’t wear any mascara. • @justynawisniewska1213
      @justynawisniewska1213 Před 3 lety +1

      Have you considered mixing shades? I do that with foundations I like all the time. In my favourite formulas I get one lighter and one darker shade with the undertone that suits me best and mix depending on how tan I am atm. I hope this might be helpful, unless the problem is that drugstores don't carry shades dark enough for you.

    • @Shaily.kapadia
      @Shaily.kapadia Před 3 lety

      @@justynawisniewska1213 I get the perfect match in drugstore foundations, its just that it looks whitish grey even if the undertone and shade is perfect. It's not just me who face this problem, most of my friends and family have faced grayish white cast. Once I decided to wear a darker shade, even that looked off. I use Estee lauder, dior, tom ford, Bobbi brown, they look amazingly well with my Indian skin. Mostly I use drugstore lipsticks, mascaras eye pencils, etc, so that I can manage for better foundation, concealer and powders from high end. Even my skincare has hardly any expense as its mostly natural ancient ways which doesn't cost much, this saves me a lot.

Same goes for skincare. So I spend a lot of time researching before buying stuff. So for me it's not about the money as much as about time/effort. A better reason would be to avoid talc due to environmental reasons and how it's being illegally mined in animal sanctuaries. Delphine That was a nasty, passive aggressive response to my comment. My comment was in no way disrespectful, just honest, perhaps a little challenging. I’m a big fan of Melissa’s channel. . Melissa has been a long time advocate for NARS , I know that she used to work for the company, and she is often sponsored by them. When she makes videos that are either sponsored by the company or feature their products, I typically don’t watch them. Of course she has a right to do what she wants as we all do. I chose a long time ago to stop buying their products because I love animals and can’t stand the thought of Them being tortured and killed just so that I can have a pretty blush or pretty eyeshadow. Not everybody believes the same way that I do. But I do have the right to ask the question and she has the right to respond if she wants to. And since when did china ban testing on animals.
