I begged the girl at Sephora to grab my shade from the stock room because this foundation won't launch in stores in my city until the display is updated and I just couldn't wait.
I am a die hard for the MUFE F&B but I am thrilled to find this foundation is very similar in texture and finish but with a bit more coverage. It layers well and stays flexible on the skin - it really looks so natural and beautiful.
I tried it using Hrush's method of dipping the brush just lightly into a gel moisturizer and using that to buff the product in - my skin has never looked better.
I also get dry flakey patches that just won't quit in the winter, and the Hada Labo plumping cream has been my saviour, if you haven't tried that one yet.

The tip about applying minimal foundation to the forehead has been around for years. I'm 56 and have been utilizing it for at least 30 yrs. I was actually told to not use any foundation on the forehead because it would make your make up look more mask like. I found that not applying any foundation to the forehead looked a little off, unless you have bangs, lol. Anyways, enjoyed the video and you look stunning as usual.

Stephanie Sinks yep i think so. I use a alot of layers ( not that i enjoy it) to cover all my acne scars and hyperpigmentation i apply color corrector, shape tape concealer on my hyperpigmented areas, mac studio fix foundation and somtimes a bit more concealer if any hyperpigmentation is obvious. And i only conceal my dark circle not my whole cheek and then I apply Laura marcier translucent powder and it does look like so much make up but its the only way that i feel comfortable going out. Praying for the day that i can go out without foundation though. Sorry for this long ass comment but i dnt know why people apply so much layers without having a problematic skin 😩

I’ve tried makeup forever and it’s cakey on me with minimal powder. I’d be willing to try it again now that my skills have improved but that’s a lot of makeup. It’s impossible to wear a lot of makeup and not look like you’re wearing a lot of makeup.
If you’ve got issues to cover, I suffer from some myself time to time, then I’d rather see the makeup than the issues. Hope one day we all experience great skin at least for a bit. Must be amazing! lol 😆

It looks great in person. I do videos and.i get close to the camera and show my undereyes after using the powder foundation under the eyes and it looks flawless I use a very lightly dry sponge the. Whisk away with a brush any remaining powder. I love the blush under the eye its gorgeous. I adore the makeupforever hd foundation the older one better than this one. I dont usr powder all over the face only on the high points where I blend my.bronzer and highlight. I use cream blush bronzer and.rms highlight the. lightly set with bronzer blush highlighter. Looks gorgeous. Never had so many compliments. I.also have used this with the colourpop tintes moisturizer and had family emergency wore it for 18.hours and no break up on foundation or anything my skin looked perfect and I slept in.it too. Hope this helps

    • @genevieveve
      @genevieveve Před 4 lety +1

@@cristinitaandco I'm from Canada, so I have to buy it on Amazon or on YesStyle.com which ships worldwide - in the US, I believe you can find a few of the products at Target.
It's not a serum, definitely thicker. It's fragrance and petroleum free, but it is INTENSELY hydrating. It contains urea, which is ultra hydrating. I use it in damp skin after a shower at nighttime to seal the water into my skin, and I also use it in the morning, after any light serums, before spf. It works so well under makeup too.
It's probably the best thing that's happened to my skin in a long long time, all the issues that I've had with dryness in the winter and the oiliness in the summer have balanced out, my skin feels supple and plump and hydrated. If you can get your hands on it, I suggest you do, it's incredible.
The brand also has several "essences", they are thicker than toners but not as thick as a moisturizer, which you could use in place of a serum as well.

Try the ordinary rosehip oil first after cleansing skin, then layer with tatcha dewy skin cream, the. First aid beauty moisturizer, seal in with more rosehip seed oil. Use kiehls brightening avocado undereye cream. Use vaseline cocoa butter mini tub only for lips. Has shea and cocoa butter as top ingredients to heal prevent and nourish lips. You will notice a huge difference. I have dry skin super dry and after all of the oil and moisturizer sinks in I apply the laneige hydrogel moisturizer as well. In the am I follow same steps let it sink in. I add bobbi brown face base a little prior to makeup application. and I use mac fast under eye serum for under eyes to prep pripr to makeup. Hindash is a makeup artist and he uses this. I also spray the caudalie spray before going in as well. Like he does. Game changer for the face. Try it and I think it will help you. Also you can use a lighter moisturizer which I do sometimes depending how dry my skin is prior to makeup application.i use embryollise moisturizer as my hydrator and primer in one. Hope this helps. I really like the approach that Makeup Forever took for for releasing and promoting their new foundation. Hosting a master class and bringing in someone like Ariel to demonstrate their products for influencers is (in my opinion) way better advertising than taking a bunch of people on an extravagant brand trip. All they seem to do during the trips is share information on the product and then give it to influencers to take pictures of or photograph themselves wearing it, but that doesn't really help the consumers with their decision to want to purchase or not (well, with me at least). Also the majority of influencers are not certified makeup artists and they each have varying levels of expertise when it comes to application and technique, and most don't even compare to Ariel. So when I see an influencer demonstrating a new product and they do a bad job, it can turn me off and influences me not to purchase it, which I think is not fair for the brand. It's really cool to see several influencers genuinely hyped up for a product and super excited to share Ariel's tips and techniques with their viewers. Everyone whose shared what they learned from the master class and demonstrated this new foundation while following his techniques did an amazing job and now I want to buy this foundation. I'd much rather see content like this than a generic review and wear test or first impression. Kudos to Makeup Forever for a well thought out launch.

hahaha well I am VERY picky with foundation so I always recommend good ones, I like that this one has skincare benefits on top of looking like skin so I don't feel bad wearing it all day long even if I'm just at home and not going anywhere haha

Why your skin looks so shiny before you put the foundation? Did you put something on? Even with foundation was like glass, too much shiny.

Magic cream or nars.luminous. embryollise with caudalie spray works the same or just embryollise moisturizer it's a 2 in 1

I don't understand the technique featured in this video at all. You applied a liquid foundation all over the face, then what appears to be a thick concealer all over the center of the face, then you applied a powder foundation. Powder foundations are typically marketed to oily skinned people and provide coverage. Then as a final step you set all of that with translucent powder??? This doesn't make sense. Why would anyone put all of that on their skin? Especially when 99% of your skin is clear. I have oily skin and would never use that much powder. Don't you have dry skin? Make it make sense!

I think Melissa just enjoys a more full coverage, flawless base. But, check out Shelby Wilson’s all powder routine. You’d be surprised at how dewy powder can look.

I think technique used by Pro mua usually is for magazine, editorial n catwalk. Their aim is to make it look as airbrush as possible, which explain layer n layer of powder.

She literally explained WHY she did this technique. She attempted to recreate Ariels technique, full coverage airbrushed face. Most MUAs layer on products to create their airbrushed/flawless face (the MUAs that work with celebrities) Multiple powders, foundations, concealers WITH the right applications (as she used) you can recreate this look.

That concealer it’s not heavy. It’s very light but it has got good coverage. I have all shades in my kit using on my clients. She didn’t apply that much powder. She locked all the products in and that’s what u do to make sure your makeup stay. Some makeup artist actually use loose powder first b4 they apply foundation especially for oily skin. This technique is amazing!

What’s the point of this? Why don’t people zoom in anymore? Literally can’t see how it applies on the skin. You should watch Miyuki Leu and observe how foundation reviews should be done....

You are my first makeup artist that I started following, so I love your work, but the contour powder that you used maybe was too cool for your skin or mixed badly with your bronzer, cuz it seemed to turn muddy. Thank you for testing these products so I know that it doesn't work for warm/olive skin! Also, if you could do some drugstore reviews/shop your stash, I'd love that.

Yes Ariel is onto something ... Yes, that is the best your skin has ever looked ... until you greased it back up again. You looked gorgeous and perfect ... until you threw the greasy looking products back on your face. The ones you call glowy. However they are not glowy, the are greasy looking like a can of Crisco. They make you look like you have straight up OILY skin. If you want to highlight use a matte highlighter, or atleast a toned down satin. Elsewise, just go right ahead and slap some frosted jipstick on to match the rest of those greasy looking products, and then maybe you can go get yourself a job at Dairy Queen.
