- in this video show you the budget holdpeak 605A high amp clamp which can buy under 30US$. did a perfect reletive compression test on a 2.5l diesel engine using this high amp clamp.
however i am not promoting this brand for personal benefits from that company, just try to introduce something for budget tools seekers in the automotive diagnostic field.
this amp clamp can use perfectly with the budget oscilloscope as well as multimeters. but not supporting for the measurements of mili volts range. scale is 1mV = 1A.
if you buy this product please read the information carefully and understand that it will be worked with your needs.

This really helped me. I was looking to buy a current clamp for my oscilloscope and was only seeing inflated cost imported hantek and other probes on Amazon which costs as low as 10000 ₹ to as high as ₹32000₹. It looked really insane until I found this model for around 3000₹. But wasn't sure if it would work in real-time. This video helped a lot.

9V battery - THANK YOU for this explanation - I wondered - should it be powered any way? If so - how ???? Manufacturer instruction manual does not mention battery neither it is indicated on the device itself......
It need a 9v Battery, can put it by removing the back cover.

Hi ravi... Can u pls answer my one question pls ... I havnt baught any amp clamp yet... Can i just buy this holdpesk 605 only and use it for all automotive application like fuel pump and ingnitiion coils etc. I mean i don't hav to spend for low amp clamp?

good question. It is not a good idea. This high amp clamp is good for mesure higher range current. At least it need over 10 amps to give you will a detail waveform. Because there is no amp range selector switch on this clamp to adjust the setting for capturing low amp ranges this one work only with 1mV = 1A range. Then better you go for hantek high amp clamp. It will work for you for both low and higher amp ranges.
What is the lower limit for current measurements? What is the smallest current the device sees?
This clamp is not going for low current mesurements. Good for over 5amp current mesurement. I just use for relative compression test only.

For lower than 5 amp measurements you can use a 1 ohm resistor in series with the load in the circuit and measure voltage across resistor 1 volt = 1 amp and it works ok on oscilloscope for waveform analysis @@engeneer_ru5827
