I DON'T have large calves, I hope they won't be swimming around in the top area of the boot, I need 'tight' around my calves, not gappy'. Everything (else) looks perfect for what I need, heal-midsole separation, heat shield/gripper area (doesn't have to be great, just a harder surface than the breathable cloth features on some boots), good buckle design and placement.
So please help me understand if someone can. I am around 27.5 cms foot size. Bought the FR5 boots in size 10 (US). As per FlyRacing's size chart, I should be wearing Size 8 (US). But still the boots feel a bit cramped on the tip of my toes as if they are being squeezed together. This is my first MX Boots ever, so I do not know that are these boots supposed to feel this cramped?

will fly be coming out with a more off-road designed version? or at least something with a bit more traction on the sole for walking up muddy hills to pick the bike off our buddies heads?
Soggy' , You gave me an idea, I just looked up 'traction cleats' 'snow cleats' on amazon, lots of practical slip/strap-on models. Might be worth throwing in the back pack, or just wearing if it rained for 3 days and you know you'll need something.
