It's not the fort that is 3.8 billion years old, it's the rock that it is built top of is said to be one of the oldest rock formations in the world dating back 3.8 billion years.

We have about 38000 temples in my state. Some r smaller scaled and some r gigantic like the Tanjore and madurai temples . We call it state of the art in modern tech. These two r of the same kind built few hundred years back.😄⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our ancestors were so smart and Advanced in Math/Science etc because to build this kind of things you should know about Maths Science, etc

The big temple in thanjavur built by Rajaraja Cholan and the Gangai konda cholapuram temple built by Rajendra Cholan, son of Rajaraja, both show the equinox days and solstice. During equinox the sun rises exactly at the centre of the head of the bull and goes up straight to the top of the pillar centered before the bull(which is called kodi maram in Tamil) during solstice(summer and winter) we can see the sun settling exactly in one of the bull’s horns and then move to the centre on equinox day and then move to the other horn during the next solstice. So basically temples were built by the kings to study the movement of sun, to predict the seasons and thereby plan agriculture by predicting the rains, etc. people will go to the top of the temples to view stars and locate the movements of stars to aid in the prediction of seasons. Just like the Egyptians built the pyramids for the same purpose. The Giza pyramid too is built in the same way and sphinx is facing the Sirius. later on the Brahmins took over the temples and started collecting money from people visiting these temples for their own good. Thus the main purpose of building these tall temple structures were ignored and basically temples became like a tollgate to collect money for the Brahmins to fill their pockets 😞
The equator doesn't pass through India, but the Tropic of Cancer does. Actually a vast portion of India lies in the Temperate Zone above the Tropics, but even so those places donot have Temperate but a Sub-tropical climate thanks to the influence of oceans and Himalayas which block Siberian winds. Like Delhi is almost at the same latitude as Houston, Texas, still Delhi is way hotter and more tropical
It's not on equator .. equator is an imaginary line.. chidambaram temple is at the real center of earth .. not on the equator known now.. ancient ppl were good and accurate at astrology and geography than modern ones

I am from Trichy, we have lots of temples here... But, even I was astonished by the huge, old and stunning temples in the Thanjavur - Kumbakonam belt...Mind blowing stuff.
Guys geography is not your strong suite.. the tropic of cancer passes just north of Calcutta. Even the Andaman Islands are quite far away from the equator..

Tamilnadu is the state in India that still shows what modern term called Hinduism is. A state filled with temples every nook and corner ( I mean literally) .
I recently visited tanjavur temple. It's gigantic. I can just watch the tower for hours without bored.
