I think Siege/Ubisoft is confusing content with rewards at this point. Battle Pass rewards are not content! especially if only paying players get to have them. Look at what currently Valve and the Dota 2 team is doing right now, they released a 4 part interactive story. They could copy it and just make an actual story mode or something with the game like they wanted to do with the factions within Rainbow that they introduced back then.
in apex, the new proposed battle pass system is basically more rewarding but costs real money as opposed to apex coins, which can be earned through the battle pass. they’re essentially making it so that you have to buy the battle pass separately every season, instead of buying it one season and using the earned currency to buy the next one, etc etc. the free pass is still free but it’s a bit pointless.
Ironically one of my main issues with the event is it took less than a day for blatant cheaters to fill the lobbies. I played 5 games and 3 had a blatant cheater. I guess they think hiding behind no replays will save them from reports.
Event modes in custom games would be sweet yea. Hell I just wish we had the non-remake version of maps in customs. We know they still have them cause of the throwback event a few year's ago

At least R6 Extraction did cosmetics right. There were so many outfits and weapon skins tied to objectives, challenges, and end-game completions. There were even secret outfits for killing bosses. Sure, the better outfits were in-game purchases, but they gave a way to earn in-game currency for free (albeit very stingy, but a win is a win). R6E was far from perfect, but we should really let them know what they were doing right.
I don't have a problem with it. Many games now do this Apex legends is where they probably got the idea from. At the end of the day siege needs the money and they know people are going to buy the skins especially if it a recolor that looks good

I want them to release an entirely new game with everything revamped (anticheat, events in custom games, old maps no longer available, a legitimate campaign, etc.) I believe this is the only way for Siege to really come back. I’d say the same thing if it wasn’t for one thing: skull and bones existing as it is. The whole development process what chaos and it ended up being all government subsidized and tax write offs.
Putting the previous skins in the collection would honestly be better because it would give people the opportunity to get the old stuff but putting in reskins of already existing stuff and selling that as if it was something new is scummy
I think this is a strategy to get people to use the market place more in the long run some people are gonna want the different varieties of skins from events and having the different colors is more to collect in the long run which of course makes people buy more r6 credits. (Not defending it btw)

Tell me they patched the performance 😢 ever since last patch (not when the Season launched) the game took a hit performance wise for me and my friends. Went from 144FPS to 100 or less depending on the map.
Personally, I think that the greatest mistake Ubisoft is making here is practically handing ammunition to their current players, by not making enough content this year, for the eventual PR war that will happen in year 10. Imagine this: 'right now it's bad, but next year will be huge!', and then next year the big content ends up being something like that completely botched legacy event, or just what has been deemed to be a standard amount of content, completely killing anyone's resolve. What I'm saying is that Ubi has effectively backed themselves into a corner since they have absolutely no way out from a marketing point of view. The hopeful people will inevitably be disappointed since they'll have a whole year (arguably more) to imagine of ways that R6S will improve with the next year, and the jaded people will have their thoughts on the matter confirmed. I've seen some comments saying 'I hope it'll be Siege 2!!' or 'hopefully it's a new engine!!', but the problem with that is that for one, it would've been leaked already since that isn't a small project you can really keep under wraps for one of the most successful live-service games of the past decade, and secondly, the horrific amount of time required to remake Siege from the ground up, or port it to a new engine (something Ubi has already confirmed they aren't interested in, and I can see why since I doubt there would be any tangible benefit) is well more than a year, let alone 3 months. one of the big reasons i stopped playing siege, they stopped doing cool and interesting events and started just selling the same gamemode reskinned and reskinned... yearly snowball fight, golden gun, and now this is the second time they've released mute protocol but dogshit bc the entire gimmick of the event has been removed. og mute protocol was so fun, it feels gross to call this the same thing.
Ubisoft is in such a shit position because new operators and maps means content creep which means more factors new players will need to learn about which also means less new players because they get overwhelmed and leave. They're gonna have to figure out how to add more content that doesn't bloat what the game already has.
Imagine, after this season, after all the lack of crap in the game and it's horrific state, the 10th anniversary is just the "usual" content, like "Hey guys, here's a new op and a new map! Hope you enjoy Rainbow's birthday!" They would literally get burned to the ground.
the fact that they made a previous event title mean something so bad and honestly one of the worst and most boring events because we have gotten almost nothing in this season just makes me mad. But thankfully I got the alibi headgear with the free pack.
I'm not really too fussed about the recolored skins (I'm an Overwatch player and I didn't mind when they started doing recolors either), I'm more upset about the stupid "memento" skin and the precedent it sets for future events, as well as the fact they brought back the awful Flesh and Metal gamemode instead of the actually fun and unique original Mute Protocol mode.
If ubi has something big planned for year 10 they need to tease or fully announce it. With Community sentiment so low and lack of communication on anything from ubi’s side a reveal of anything substantial would help. As it stands we’re left to speculate off what little has been shown. But a big reveal right now would completely change the narrative from negative speculation to hype for what’s to come.
If everything is this bad the entire year idk how many people will be left to look forward to y10. I usually never have a doomer attitude with the game, but we're at a crescendo of all possible bad things.

one of the big reasons i stopped playing siege, they stopped doing cool and interesting events and started just selling the same gamemode reskinned and reskinned... yearly snowball fight, golden gun, and now this is the second time they've released mute protocol but dogshit bc the entire gimmick of the event has been removed. og mute protocol was so fun, it feels gross to call this the same thing.
Ubisoft is in such a shit position because new operators and maps means content creep which means more factors new players will need to learn about which also means less new players because they get overwhelmed and leave. They're gonna have to figure out how to add more content that doesn't bloat what the game already has.
Imagine, after this season, after all the lack of crap in the game and it's horrific state, the 10th anniversary is just the "usual" content, like "Hey guys, here's a new op and a new map! Hope you enjoy Rainbow's birthday!"
They would literally get burned to the ground.
the fact that they made a previous event title mean something so bad and honestly one of the worst and most boring events because we have gotten almost nothing in this season just makes me mad. But thankfully I got the alibi headgear with the free pack.

I'm not really too fussed about the recolored skins (I'm an Overwatch player and I didn't mind when they started doing recolors either), I'm more upset about the stupid "memento" skin and the precedent it sets for future events, as well as the fact they brought back the awful Flesh and Metal gamemode instead of the actually fun and unique original Mute Protocol mode.
This the type of shit that makes half the playerbase vanish into the ether
If ubi has something big planned for year 10 they need to tease or fully announce it. With Community sentiment so low and lack of communication on anything from ubi’s side a reveal of anything substantial would help. As it stands we’re left to speculate off what little has been shown. But a big reveal right now would completely change the narrative from negative speculation to hype for what’s to come.
Ubisoft has always made mistakes. It’s been like this since ashes hitbox was discovered.

To a certain extent, why do we need a new map? Everyone skips any new map since outback so why introduce more when people clearly don’t want to learn new maps?

For real. My first pack from the BP challenge gave me a recolor of a mid skin. Now I have an orange and a blue skin for the same weapon I never use. Also, I don't like how there isn't a way to get the cool memento skin w/ out buying all 33 packs.
