I drive a 2012 jetta 6. I have 2 questions, first is engine related, should it be wise to change out the 1.4 tsi to a 2.0 tsi motor with a dsg? Second question, is there a hydraulic suspension option like in the old toureg, air ride suspension does not tickle my fancy.
@@BPT1999 I’m on stock suspension, and I rub only if I’m at a weird angle (like backing out of a driveway onto a steep street) but it’s not enough for me to modify anything. It looks really good too.
This video only made me want to put more into my white mk6 gli that much more. Currently have stock suspension with some Matt black rotiform BLQ with metallic red lug bolts. Definitely liking what I see from you all 👌
I just picked up 18x8.5 (don't know the offset yet) wrapped in 235/40 Hancooks. about to install H&R lowering springs so this was an awesome reference to use to understand how it everything will look
@@arthurerby2466 do have an IG? I can send you the pics I had taken. THe offset on the Enkei Raijins i bought is insane for for this car lowered on just springs. the raijins range from +15 to +50 offset depending on wheels size so
18x9 ET50. with 255/35/18 i think that's the max tire on these cars. got about 3mm inside and pretty much none out side. I suspect that 1 18x9 et 48 wheel will work. but havent tried. stock suspension. perfect flush. no rubbing. had a 18x9 et 40 with 255 tires before. it will rub when suspension bottoms out. will be fine for normal driving

I am getting some rubbing issues with getting through small pot hole even , like even the small bump make sound of tires touching body. I am super confused what is a solution for this “do i need to change suspension or coils ?” If i need to than what type and option of suspension and coils i should put in ?

I’m running 18x8.5 et35 on 215/45R18 tires. The rear tires look perfect, but the front tires stick out a little bit more than I would like, but it looks okay. It’s just weird because the stock wheels are 16in, and the tire width was a 205. I’m getting a lot of noise when driving on the road compared to the no noise I got on the stock wheels. Is that enough extra width to make the tires so much louder?

@@nurstichwort972 It will fit perfectly. US spec mk6 Jetta GLI is stock at 18x7,5, 225/40/18, ET+51 18x8 with 225/40/18, ET+45 will be just a bit more fitted. (if you havent modified brakes) GOOD LUCK MATE
Recently purchased some OE 19" Cadiz rims off a 17 Golf R. Was planning on 235/35 rubber and H&R or VW lowering springs on my 17 Jetta SEL. Do you think I'll have any rubbing issues or bottoming out? It is my daily driver so want to get it rite the 1st time. Thanks Shaun

19x8.5 +44 with 225/35. ST Suspension coilovers. A little bit of rubbing in some circumstances but nothing major. Those Aodhan DS02 look clean.
