Film Disription: In a mysterious universe, the Green Lantern Corps, an elite defense force of peace and justice have existed for centuries. This is actually one of my favorite movies. I was quite happy about learning that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got "hitched." You can see their attraction clearly in this movie.
Shame that they didn't do a Sequel, they were gonna have Carol become Star Sapphire. I heard that Ryan said in an Interview that he didn't like being in this Movie. But one Great thing came out of this, he met the love of his Life while filming this Movie. Ryan & Blake have been married for 6 Years and they have 2 Daughters. !!!

@@guyhaskins3829 He did blatantly make fun of Green Lantern in the post-credits scene for Deadpool 2. I'm sure he enjoyed playing the character but also probably wishes the film was better written (acting-wise he wasn't a bad Hal Jordan by any means). Just like the way he hated how Deadpool was written in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

This movie would be a big hit in the 90s..maybe early to mid 90s..however, as GL fan, I'm happy that at least a film was made. Cap, Spidey, F4 movies made in the 90s were jokes before their spectacular movies (Cap and Spidey) were made.
i really wished this movie would’ve worked as a huge fan of the green lantern corps and to see that we still haven’t gotten a good live action interpretation of the character hurts

It's cool we see a glimpse of the infamous bomber jacket that Jordan is known to wear in honor of his father. But I wished we had seen that referenced in the movie. How he was holding it when he wash his father crash, and how he swore that he would always wear it right.

I’ve been a Marvel fan since like forever, but the one DC character I kind of like is Green Lantern. It’s in the same way I like Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Silver Surfer and Nova. All four can be earth bound and at the same time explore space!

It’s amazing how far Ryan Reynolds has come. He’s a world renowned actor and entrepreneur. He owns businesses who profits go off the charts and helps people. He has a beautiful wife in Blake Lively and 4 beautiful daughters with her. He’s got everything he wanted. As long as he has his family especially his wife and kids, he’s very happy.

There should be an episode of The Flash where the Scarlet Speedster meets the Emerald Gladiator in Coast City after seeing on TV about a flying man in a green uniform fighting crime in that city and it would also be good to see the Green Lantern in an episode of Arrow and the meeting of the Emerald Gladiator & the Emerald Archer.
I find 1.04 to 1.12 romantic because of how the relationship between them is working

For all it's flaws, Green Lantern's music and effects worked. They tried to pack TOO MUCH in and lost the audience. Adapting Green Lantern: Secret Origin would have been preferable, for it set up EVERYTHING. From the yellow impurity to Hector Henshaw to Sinestro, it also focused on Hal's development from losing his dad onward. Geoff Johns was the producer and he should've realized bringing Parallax in this early was a mistake. But the end theme really grips you as much as the final narration. And god Blake looked hot as Carol Ferris.
For all it’s worth, James Newton Howard was the composer for this movie. That man has such huge track record of amazing soundtracks for great movies. His style is always bringing out awe and magic through sound!
But agree. It makes my heart ache that a sequel was never made, or any thought of continuing the franchise. If actually done better, this movie could have legitimately be considered as the start of the DCAU.
