  • This is a quick tutorial on how to create a customisable hydrogel illustration using geometry nodes. NOTE: we will only consider simplified models of hydrogels; we won't look at showing any rigorous internal structure of the polymer chains and how they are cross-linked.

    If anyone was like me and had an opaque hydrogel at the end of the video, remember to change the render engine to cycles! 😂

      Woops, sorry! Should’ve said - I usually work in Cycles

      Make sure you’re using Cycles, not Eevee

    How do you add more than one polymer within the hydrogel?

    • @deylightmedia3266
      @deylightmedia3266 Před 6 měsíci +1

      by making another copy of the same group and randomised start and end

      Hi @deylightmedia3266, thank you for your response. I was wondering whether the same procedure can be followed as to addition of probe particles within the hydrogel as that followed in one of your other videos in making AuNP? I am making Render engine Cycles.

      @@user-fp7sq2qm6y Yes, duplicate the distribute points in volume, instance on points. Create a AuNP (e.g. a Points node + Set Material with a gold material), plug into the instance on points. Join that with the hydrogel with a Join Geometry node
