Great detailed review of the benelli 502x I am going to buy a motorcycle I haven't riden in about 28 years but I do really like the styling of the bike & value for money.... I'm sold gonna get the benelli trk 502x
How is it so far?
I have owned lot's of bikes in my time fast slow and uncomfortable. This bike is none of the above! It's got enough power to keep up with anyone, handles like a dream and is so comfy you could ride for ever. Simply the best bike I've ever owned. In 4 word's "great value for money".

Only just found this video. I think this bike ticks all the boxes for me 👍🏻 I currently have a 2017 VStrom 1000, but I don’t need the 1000cc motor really - This is 50% cheaper than the VStrom & the CB500X is £1,500 more expensive than the Benelli in the UK... 👌🏻👍🏻

@@paulcummins5231 100% agree. The trouble is there are too many good bikes available out there. Have you looked at the Royal Enfield Himalayan too? Depending on the type of riding you want to do, they too are awesome!

The weight you get used to it, but for sure i will advise to be at least 170-180 cm and 80-90 kilos to be able to handle it properly, it's a Man's bike not a Boy's bike 😜🤪🤣 namanya Moge kan ? 😜✌

Thank you for your comment. For the voice recording, I use Sony ICD-PX470 Stereo Digital Voice Recorder with Built-in USB and Sony Compact Stereo Lavalier Microphone wrapped in a dead cat to cancel wind noise.

C'est en regardant de nouveau votre essai qu'une question m'est venue car personne dans ce que j'ai pu écouter et voir n'en a parlé. Qu'en est il des remontées de chaleur. Sont elles importantes, ou peu significatives ? Le ventilo se met il en route souvent ? Merci d'avance
En voila une bonne question, étonnamment les remontées de chaleurs sont moins importantes que sur la Leoncino 500 qui utilise le même bloc moteur, je pense que cela vient du chassis plus volumineux et mieux aéré que sur la Leoncino, j'ai été ravi de voir que sous les tropiques cette petite aventurière se comporte bien sans declancher le ventilateur en permanence comme sur une KTM 😜
c'est vrai que les "katoches au prix que ça coûte!!! " ils auraient pu faire quelque chose. Niveau chaleur il y a pire et plus cher le scrambler 1200 Triumph au dessus de 35° C on se brûle j'en ai fait les frais . Merci en tout cas pour la rapidité de la réponse cette machine commence de plus en plus à me plaire

It was the plate number places between the windshield and the dashboard
an update, i didn't get this Benelli TRK 502X which is for my taste too heavy for an Adventure motorcycle, 235 kg for 48 hp is not adapted for Off-road solo riding, my choice went for the Hunter Maverick 500, a parallel Twin as well 471cc developping 49hp and only 196 kg more adapted for aventure On and Off-road, here is the link to the Review

Je n'arrive pas à le trouver également, maintenant une petite idée, les poids maxi indiqués sur les paniers et topcase étaient de 10 kilos par paniers et 10 kilos pour le topcase en ajoutant pilote et passager je pense qu'on doit etre autour de 150 kilos de charge possible, une transalp 700 le PTAC est de 369 kilos (244 arrière et 125 à l'avant)

Il est vrai que la position est agréable le comportement ressemble fort à une GS...
Par contre au niveau du freinage il y a du travail sans parler de la vitesse de croisière qui est à plus ou moins 100 km heure au-dessus de cette vitesse le moteur vibre énormément et là ça n'a plus rien à voir avec la BMW😉
Enfin qualité prix on en a pour son argent.
La partie vraiment dommageable est le poid trop élevé, 235 kg pour 48 chevaux, c'est vraiment trop pour pouvoir s'amuser off-road, donc aventure touring sur la route uniquement, hors de question d'aller s'aventurer sur des pistes avec en plus 30 kilos de bagages

The Versys 650cc is a great bike for touring on asphalt only, the Benelli TRK 502X and the Hunter Maverick 500 are more adventure oriented on and off-road

La Benelli était trop lourde pour les chemins de traverse. Sa remplaçante est plus menue et plus légère... Donc plus pratique pour le off road.

The bike stalls, it doesn't accept the low speed in second gear like others parrallel twin would do, such as Kawasaki Versys or Hunter Maverick 500cc, or Honda CB 500X, and when it does, you feel the 235kg rushing to the side, this engine react like a single cylinder due to its 360° crank format, and I'm quite sure that is the reason for easy stall, way too heavy and underpowered to be used off-road
