Beautiful bike! I've got a 1963 Yamaha that I'm currently working on (80cc 2 stroke rotary valve). I was originally going to rebuild the motor, but the more I think about it, the more I'm tempted to just go 4 stroke and have 12V. Before seeing your video, I was torn between a horizontal cylinder engine or going with the 200cc vertical. I'm going to pull the trigger on the vertical motor, since it looks like it's going to fit better and will give me an extra gear and more torque to work with.
Sweet build! Could you share what wheels/tire set up you have? I have a 74 and I'm trying to decide on tires. Also, did you find that exhaust preformed better than the stock?
I have commented before on your build. Inspired me to build my bike. Another question though, what size jets are you using? My bike is a pig to kick start at the moment. I have a 40 pilot jet and a 95 main in the carburettor.
Tiago F I fused the rings onto the piston twice on the original engine. Original motor was rebuilt twice before the Lifan replacement. I guess that is what happens when you are WOT at 70 mph for 30 mins.
A great video and a great bike were did you get the 200cc; engine nice sound and half down the pipe there is a marking on the pipe and it looks like. a hot spot and no it will rot there but a very nice bike
mine 1982 125s with upgraded 144cc head. ,,,wow.. didnt know could get that !!!! mine max 65mph 34 t /15 front... could go max 17 front.. but i thinks will kill low end power! i like it as is for town... carb slow jet had be changed to a #35...
Hey, lovely build! I’m currently underway with my cg125e and was wondering how easy it was to swap that Lifan 200 engine in? Did you have to fabricate new mounts? Anyways, lovely bike.
Louis Winchester I did not fabricate new mounts. The only thing that was needed to be modified was enlarging the hole where the rear lower engine bolt goes thru. It needed to be widened about 2mm.
CD33 lifan 200cc engine he used. I'm looking at doing the same to my 125. Or I will just get a 150cc bore kit and a derestricted cdi, cone filter, bigger jet and unrestrictive exhaust.
sorry man, i have the same 125cc bike and i would like to push it a little bit.... to get 200cc did you installed a kit for the termic group?????pls answer me becouse i don't find anywhere else another modified cb125
Well......let’s see...... Frame? Tank? Forks? Tree’s? Swingarm? Front wheel? rear wheel? Header? Controls? All of the parts above are OEM parts from Honda. It’s a custom bike @West Mode. What do you expect? It’s a fun bike to ride. Isn’t that all that matters? Happy Holidays dude.
@@TStanley27 mate don't let my comment get into you & I dont want to argue but I had honda cg or cb, first of all most of year 80 honda bikes are forks and shock abosorber are different and most have rectangular shape tank, you may have similar shape frame or chassis..etc but they are more likely to be Chinese made and i can not confirm the originality of your part over a video , you should google it and see that for your self
West Mode - You should read my build thread. Bike is originally a US 1982 Honda cb125s. The tank is off a US 1974 cb125s. How do I know? I took it off my 74 cb125s I bought for spare parts. It’s mostly original except for the motor.....because blew and rebuilt the top ends....twice. Read my build thread. You’ll understand. www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=62581.0
I bought this exact setup that was half done a while ago pretty cheap ... I've got a lot more motivation to finish it now! Yours turned out sick!
your build is so clean and simple..good job
Nice job! Good looking bike. Small bikes are a blast.
Thanks for posting.
So nice and simple, congrats for the bike dude.

Amazing build its beautiful
Ni cg mesin nya memang bandel, bawak balok besar pun dia sanggup.apalagi tanjakan matap ga ada batas..

J'avais un cb Honda 125 s kité en 135 cc. Ça a nettement amélioré le couple. Quand je passais de la 1ère à la 2ème, la roue avant se levait.
шикарный аппарат !

Did you have to cut the mounts to get the motor in ? Love this bike I have a cbf

Very cool bike good job!!

Very cool would love to see it on the road
Beautiful bike

Perfect!!!! ❤👍
Hermosa saludos de Chile
Did you have to upgrade the motor? What kind is it if I may ask?
Great build!! I would've stayed with the original Honda engine and maybe just tune it up.. but hey :) very nice.. simple.. clean.. love it!

What forks did you use? Sweet looking build as well!
Been thinking about getting one. Are replacement parts hard to find? Is this difficult to work on?
Hermosa moto 👌🏻 así quiero modificar la que quiero comprar

Hi Nice build 😎, Question... Do the front foot peg hangers bolt to bottom of the engine like on the CD, CG and CM??
Yes. 4 bolts.
okay so it fits, now bore it out a tad? port and polish. makes me want to ride my CL125s so bad.
A great video and a great bike were did you get the 200cc; engine nice sound and half down the pipe there is a marking on the pipe and it looks like. a hot spot and no it will rot there but a very nice bike

Nice build bro. May I know the tire size you used bro? Both front and back. Thanks! 😊
What bars are those? Also, those grips are the 👌🏻
The appropriate thing to say after you stalled it would be:
That's another fine mess you've gotten us into this time Stanley!!!

Cool
Can u plz tell me how to change a sound like that?

Did you have to make a custom mount?

Where did you purchase that speedometer? I cant find a simple design with MPH.
Looks like dime city cycles
WOW
Whats the size of the tires and rims? Thanks
Greating One heart
How did you get on with back breaks
hi! nice build....what engine did you use for the swap???....greets!
.
Lifan 200cc engine.
U cannot fit a Chinese engine over a Japanese one. Sorry I totally disagree. U could rather tune up the original one
Massimo Camorani Its a Lifan 200cc engine. I built this bike so I know it fits. You disagree?
I appreciate your project...
Does that engine fit in the CB 100, too?
almost 100% sure it will fit, not many differences between cb100 and cg frames
what's the 200cc motor he swapped to?
Is there a battery in there?
Linda
Well
Did you use a bore kit or a whole new motor? Thinking of doing this with my bike. Also a CB125
CD33 lifan 200cc engine he used. I'm looking at doing the same to my 125. Or I will just get a 150cc bore kit and a derestricted cdi, cone filter, bigger jet and unrestrictive exhaust.

you can get Chinese engines with the same exact fitting, just a bolt-on.
@@themuhammad1 you have any idea of a brand that produce that engine?
I want to make one like it
What engine is that 200cc .will a honda xr400 fit in the cg125 frame
I need this answers also
whats the 200cc engine out of?
Schweet
Front tyer size?????
It's missing the side plates....looks weird. I like it a lot though.
Did you swap engine or change block and head ?
Its a lifan 200cc motor
muy bien y haora que ya destrozaste la 125 que bas a hacer .

Honda cb125 fuel tank.

Where can I get an engine like that to buy?
eBay.
how did the performance improve from the 125 ?
More torque and hp. Definitely noticeable all across the powerband.
great thanks for reply half way through my cg125 build and thinking of this engine for that little extra power
@@jvboy56 what engine is that exactly
How did you run your battery?
I used the Antigravity 4 cell. The bike has been converted to a 12v system.
Which motor is this exactly ? please
Lifan 200cc motor.
cant tell if the engine makes that noise or if its his nostrils
It’s both...
This still sells as new by honda in mo country under the name of cg125 it dosent even have a starter motor an d its price is 1200 dollars
Deliver me one and I’ll pay you double for it.
*fit
Price kya h is ke
dosen't this engine have less power than the original ?
Arppa Viuhko More torque and 12v.
I think that cylinder ic CG OHV type, not CB OHC !
I think its a CG125 turned into 200cc, no a CB125... CBs are ohc, CGs are ohv.
i think the engine is honda cg not cb
I guess something is wrong with the bike. It stalls very often.
Nah. It was just cold.
from what I see, nothing on this bike is honda( japan) made , even the engine is cheap chinese one :)
