- I finally tried towing with the Tesla Cybertruck. But I didn't just tow any trailer... I towed the future of trailers.. the all electric Pebble Flow! And.. I was the only person in the world to do this!
This thing is a game changer especially with electric cars because of the dual motors and a battery pack!!

What do you guys think? I'm about to take a 3 month vacation.. I think BANFF, Canada will be first.

You deserve it, as long as you bring your camera and make videos 😂 ❤ And after BANFF Stockholm Sweden? 😊
I think a review from you is worthless. You claim to have zero experience or knowledge about trailers or campers. That's like watching a car review from someone that has never driven a car. Plus, you have the vibe of a marketing promoter / paid salesman. That said, you're perfect for the low grade brainless content of CZcams / TikTok.
@obimk1104?
“Car… child safety… pedestrian avoidance”…?
This is a truck towing an electric RV.
Nothing about child safety or pedestrian avoidance - though Tesla’s are top notch at those things… got the highest scores ever on Euro NCAP widely considered the toughest and most complete assessment of modern vehicle safety tech.
Cybertruck will be just as safe to people inside it and out.
Tesla has AI that prevents pedal misapplication instances when people are near the car as in parking lots.
I’ve seen about a dozen videos where this feature has saved dozens of kids lives, or at least they’re not crippled.
So chances are the only “shit car” around is… yours? 🤷♂️
Burst out laughing when Stefan says, "Just go." 😂
Hahaha
2:02 “I have never hitched a trailer in my life! 😃”
💀☠️💀☠️💀
Thank you so much for towing the Pebble Flow with the Cybertruck. Our Cybertruck is still on order, and we were looking at the Lightship Electric Trailer, but you have changed our minds and we're preordering the Pebble Flow today. Even the interior decor is superior to the Lightship. The interior height is improved in the Pebble Flow, so that concern we had is gone now. We can't wait!
I saw the production model. They didn’t let me put it in the video.. it looks even cooler on the outside
Fools and their money are soon parted and you fit the fool. Surely you voted for joe. Fully lobotomized by your irrational fear of the element carbon to the point you buy this scam junk
Don’t buy the Cybertruck. You are making a big mistake. It’s already got a total recall a few months in, what else is wrong with it? Get your money back and at least wait until they fix all the bugs. If you don’t wrap it? You have to clean it nonstop. You can’t use a carwash with brushes if you don’t spend money on a wrap. The steel is rusting it’s low quality stainless. Big mistake, cancel and wait. Always a bad idea to buy a year one model of any car.
I think for the money you’d be way better off with a model X. You can still use it to tow a trailer minus the reduced range. But it’s a more practical vehicle and they are cool.
Or just buy a real pickup truck with an engine.
@@rexrocker1268yeah a recall that Tesla caught early in production that only affected under 4000 cars. Whereas Ford issued a recall on over 3 million vehicles but no one ever mentions that.
@@donkstonian Ok? Cybertruck was out for like a month and only delivered that many. All cars have recalls. But Tesla really does have a terrible record.
And if you have a fender bender? Have fun waiting 2 months for a corner panel to be replaced. I do give Tesla some credit, they give you a loaner car, but it won’t be the model you bought. My boss had an X, had to take it in several times for electrical issues, it was brand new. Then someone crashed into his car while he was having dinner. That took over 3 months to get fixed and he had to use a Model S. He was a tall and fat man, Even Model S couldn’t handle it with his big butt lol.
lol “I still have a family. For now” 😂 0:55
CT VIN released and awaiting delivery. Pebble reservation 10/2023. Best of both worlds. Needless to say, I am giddy in anticipation.
Congrats!
Been waiting to see this combo for a while. Thanks!
as someone who has towed many times, having a good camera showing the hitch is much faster than controlling the rv itself. however, this does give you the ability to completely protect the trailer from theift by moving it so that the hitch is completely blocked against the wall. its an ev trailer so chance of some theif just picking it up and pulling is pretty low, but i guess thats cool.
but honestly, as someone who has towed an rv multiple times, this is not ideal at all. you never want to need a specific trailer to tow with your expensive pickup truck. the plus of having extended range is cool and if you live in it, this would be pretty cool. but most people park their trailer for long periods of time and having so much technology involved, makes it extremely susceptible to rats and other pest related damage and once a wire gets bitten off here, it becomes a much greater issue than a normal trailer because its all connected.
Interesting! Good points!
I think there are about four companies that I know of that are working on putting EV motors in the wheels now, but I’m willing to bet it won’t be long before it could be an option with many trailers to extend the range of the tow vehicle.
I have a gas tow vehicle now that goes from a normal unladen range of about 380 miles, to 225 miles with the trailer, so it’s great for a gas or EV to get back half the range. Plus the party trick to me is with all the solar on this trailer, you can recharge the EV while camping.
i love the way chris puts so much effort into his vids new sub added
yay!
@@EverydayChris yes the legend replied
Wow I never expected myself to watch a review for a trailer! Glad I did!
With current housing prices in California, I’ll buy this one instead of real house 🏠 😂
Do the numbers first. It might be worth it, but you need to do the numbers. ( capital outlay and operating costs )
@@JoeyBlogs007zero percent chance you can find a home that’s this nice for $125K lmao
I was gonna say something funny about how Americans re-invented something Europe has had for the past 75 years - the caravan. but in honesty this is a great new development combining all the best things from caravans, motorhomes, trailers even a little tiny house and food truck sprinkled in there, and last but not least the electrification, system with motors and all that. its awesome and I hope it does well!
Thank you, Chris for sharing this video. I didn’t know this amazing equipment exists, I love it.❤
Weight is always a concern for travel trailers. By my back of the envelope calculations, that 1500lb of batteries, motors, etc. will get you an extra 50 miles of range. Well, maybe less since I didn't take into account the extra 1500lb in the mi/kWh estimate. Don't forget that you're going to need 2 fast chargers at each stop, one CCS and one NACS. The 45kWh stated capacity is also almost exactly the estimate for the Cybertruck range extender. You could buy one of those, a normal trailer, and a duffel bag to hold all the leftover cash.
Trailer GVWR of 6200lbs, actual weight? 5000lbs? Battery should only be 500lbs for 45kWh, motors and drivetrain vs standard axle probably plus 1000lbs?
Moving that weight by itself would likely take 500wh/m, but there may be a big aero advantage behind a tow vehicle given its shape. Not sure how much power they will "drive" it forward with, but I bet there could be between 90-100 mile range improvement, 45kWh/500wh/m.
Putting the range extender in the CT is basically a permanent add, leaving that weight in the trailer seems like a better idea.
Says it can charge an EV from the trailer, so maybe only one plug in to charge both at the same time, need to see what the outlet port from the trailer is, along with charge controller capability.
Cash outlay, you are correct. Way overpriced.
Thank you so much for showing us amazing cars with the safest and most robust technology. I love this video.
bro this thing is amazing
Looks like an awesome product. I wonder how the Pebble Flow syncs its wheel to road speed to match the speed of the vehicle towing it.
Fantastic video! I am excited for the Pebble Flow trailer and Cybertruck!
One day want to see Cybertruck tow-off with Pebble Flow and Lightship
Light ship is sexy too
Wow---The Peble can maneuver itself like European trailers have been able to do for 30 years!
This futuristic RV looks cool👍
This HUGE trailer costs as much as a rural house!
Nice, informative vid and very cool product! Might be interesting configured as a food truck.
Well done, answered a lot of questions. This set up is what I am saving up for.
Good for you Chris! This is big!
Love the production value of your content as it’s evolved over time. Well done video.
Thanks man! The pebble team helped a lot
@@EverydayChrisEither way, it’s been cool to see your channel leveling up. Good stuff my man.
I want to rent one, including the hitch! I can see them becoming available in a couple sizes. I’d like a smaller one (I drive a Y). I can easily imagine a couple of friends renting one too, then camping somewhere in a group! Gimme!
I came here curious about Cybertruck range towing this monster, was amazed by Pebble design. Well done guys !
Thanks God i found this video, i was about to buy a Gas powered Rv, but this is the way to go Thanks Chris
CT + Pebble Flow= PERFECT COMBO
It’s so sexy
Except for those huge windows I love it. ❤
Saw this project about a year and a half ago, then saw in person at the LA auto show a few months ago, immediately after I put my deposit on it, still waiting 👍🏻😎🍺
Soon!! I saw it at the la auto show too!
Excited for this! I kept getting ads on my Instagram for the Pebble RV and thought “this would be great with the Cybertruck if it Ives up to its promises”
It does. I can’t say much but the range efficiency is insane
The biggest issue I saw in other towing videos the cyber truck just doesn’t have the brains yet to adjust its range which is a big problem. The trailer is what I have been saying is needed as it has the motors, get the trailer and the truck to talk and share power and range it will be a real beast of a setup
could utilize more of roof space for solar panels and side roof line also for more panels - more panels = better for longer living in these things without worry of running out of electricity. Now if they make roof and side roof line collect rain water and filter it out and store it in bigger fresh water storage that would be a lot more amazing for longer living periods in these things.
14:18 - That's such a great idea. I should lower my light switches and thermostat to 28" instead of 55". I hate not having to kneel down to operate switches and control panels.
Thank you for sharing ❤❤
The Cybertuck & Pebble Flow combo is really intriguing. I would love to travel North America in this combo.
Sickest set up on earth!
“Great for if you want to go Camping, go to Oregon…” 😂
I've been waiting for this combination ❤❤
it's a slick combo
Great! now i want one.
Absolutely cool, but backing and connecting a trailer isn’t all that difficult. It takes practice, but it’s an easy skill to learn, especially with backup cameras that can see the hitch and tongue.
Wow this is so cool!
I know right!?
Very fitting. Great video I just subscribed to your channel
thanks Chris! Great name!
This is so cool!
When can we find out the range with it on the CT? 🙏
so cool
this is the coolest thing
Pebble Flow should be ok to towed by Model Y as well and Cybertruck is not available in many other countries, and cybertruck get so many edges and too sharp and Pebble looks so round and lovely.
It’s the futur. The main interest is self-propulsion RV’s connected to EV’s with little or no effect on your EV battery. The Lightship 1 is another great RV by EX Tesla engineers. I wonder how this could affect this new breed of RV licence category and insurance costs ?
I just wish it would be available in Europe too. I would love to travel around in this. Greetings from Iceland.
Wheel pivot point will lead to a lot of turning issues. Why didn't hey put the wheels further back? WATCH OUT FOR THAT SWING!
Why does this have a CCS plug? Why not NACS?
What's the range pulling that thing? 50 miles? 25 miles?
Love this! Now make one for half the price and size!
Imagine a tear drop one or one that can tow with a model y!
Wow!!!!! Congrats on the new trailer!!! 🤩🔥👍
Haha not mine! Just testing it! Thanks though!
Great video!
I was super excited when I saw the first official release video for the Pebble Flow and now this. I was wondering how long it would take for someone with a Cybertruck to get an opportunity to tow one. I'd be interested to see benchmark numbers comparing towing an equally heavy trailer that isn't the Pebble. I want to know how much of a difference the Pebble's own motors has on the overall range of the Cybertruck in this scenario.
coming soon!
all electric rv towed by tesla ev car sounds super good!
it must be a true home away from home all in that minibox! i'm intrigued!
Yeah! Exciting!
Great episode. I thought that take off from a stop was very impressive. But I’m a newb and have only read and watched shows about towing big trailers.
It seems as though I’m not alone 😁
So I really appreciate seeing you set it up without much more experience than I’ll bring to my CT towing adventures.
And the more I see the Pebble the more I think I might consider it… I’m dreaming of a Living Vehicle (but who isn’t right?). This is 1/4 the price and it has 2 more motors.
Is the Pebble something that can get a protective wrap to match the one on your Cybertruck?
haha. I had one with the motors engaged but they said I had to take it out since it's not ready yet officially
Chris says that towing cuts EV range because of the weight being towed but that is not accurate. There are multiple factors. The primary reason range is reduced while towing is because of the added aerodynamic drag of the trailer (which is why Pebble focused on streamlining the trailer shape) and that drag increases significantly at higher speeds. Just going 65 instead of 55mph makes a big difference. Also rain and headwinds cut range noticeably. The other factor is rolling resistance (having additional tires on the road) and then weight.
all true.
another problem is you cant increase the range of the EV while some massive diesel trucks can have up to 2500 miles of range and cross entire deserts very easily.
Not true. Let's Assume it's perfect aerodynamic, no any resistance from air. You need to apply extra energy for it everytime accelerating. Whence you are driving up hill, you need to apply other extra energy to against gravity. It's physics.
What happened to the Tesla trailer that was unveiled with the Cybertruck on the websiye
Love this! Really hope we get a Pebble in the future that can be towed by a Model Y!
I so hope that one day Tesla creates a 'motor home' extension that fully 'docks' into cyber truck. Cyber-Docking. 😂
Can’t wait to see a video of a camping trip somewhere cool with some awesome cooked meals!
Holy sh*t! I wish I had this setup!
How efficient was the Cyber Truck with the electric assist from the Pebble? It's common knowledge now that towing kills range. Have you tested how far can the CT drive with the Pebble?
much more efficient... can't share details but coming very soon
My guess is the 180-230 mile range. Jerryrigeverything towed 10k lbs and it went 97 miles or something, this weighs about half that and is more aero dynamic, so I imagine this is roughly the realistic range when towing.
Can the Pebble RV solar roof charge the Cybertruck?
Yes. It charges the battery and you can reverse charge the CT
When will the tailor be released?
Can the CyberTruck drive itself while towing the trailer?
Must be such fun, go 90 miles stop, park unhitch trailer, park again, wait for charge, flatten ipad watching movie, move truck hitch caravan, plug in ipad to charge off truck. Repeat every 90 miles.
Imagine going from california to new York at oregan trail pace.
When will we get an update on towing range?
Just wow!!
so dope
Range results while towing w CT?
Good. Coming soon. Can’t share yet
It’s nicer than my home!
Can it link to Tesla vision for sentry security and Tesla trailer awareness while driving? Trailer braking control would be very good too 😊
You can mount the ipad in the truck and see a 360 view of the pebble while driving
The regenerative breaking on the trailer itself is a good safety feature imho
Will they include the NACS plug as a standard?
I asked.. He gave me a vague answer. Either yes but it will come with an adapter or no and they are changing it. HOpefully its the second one
Yeah, let’s hope they adopt NACS.
CCS is a selling point for me. Sorry, but even as a Tesla owner and stockholder CT seems like a lost cause. It’s not the best for roadtripping and towing. I own a Tesla to J1772 adapter I can use for level 2 charging if that is the only option available.
CT on its own with ~100 mile towing range isn’t going to replace a traditional tow vehicle, but with a self propelled EV chassis trailer, it may be doable.
I have a Tesla M3 and it’s been fine for multi thousand mile roadtrips, so the CT on its own is the same. Pretty much any Tesla is as long as there are superchargers available.
Having NACS on both the EV tow vehicle and the trailer will simply things.
How would you charge on a long trip?
Ccs and nacs fast charging!! But the regen from the motors should keep it charged up
14:06 - Nice vinyl wrap. Will the bubbles be standard?
Hopefully it patinas to match the truck.
Awesome video 😎
Thanks 😁
Does the HVAC come with something similar to Tesla's Bioweapon Defense Mode?
It does not
@EverydayChris Thanks Chris for the prompt response! Please ask them for this feature in a future review/interview. I feel like it'll be useful in campgrounds with a lot of open fires.
@@VishalRaoOnCZcams agreed
Can model Y tow the pebble Flow?
Cannot
I sweat too first time I started driving a trailer after a while
Great to see, but the first problem will be when you go to charge and you find out there are bugger all drive through chargers and you have to unhitch first.
Luckily it’s as easy as the press of a button.
10:13 ok Doug 😂😂😂😂
my hero
Would be awesome if the trailer had a giant battery that could power the truck for more range
They should put an electric motor on the trailer to help with the range it could actually push the truck while truck charging the truck and when truck is pulling the trailer the trailer can be charging that way you get unlimited range
Yeah that’s on there bro lol
the ct started sweating when the trailer hitched onto it @5:08 lol
Haha
It's funny watching these baby ev users hook up a trailer like it's mind blowing to them. Been that way for 60 years plugging in trailers. 😂
Mind…. Blown
This trailer is mind-blowing. The hitch seems cheesy. I'd like to see it a 5th wheel instead.
Yes i do it manualy in 2 minutes ,its just practice
How much range can cyber truck get while towing it?
video on that soon
Great fun camping
I'm not sure can I tow that trailer with my model X
@egidiomeola no :( model x can’t handle the weight
tow range?
no safety chains?
I need this for my Smart Fortwo Electric.
Range statistics?
Levelizes?
So epic
