I remember her breakdown in the news. I was shocked and saddened when that happened. I'm so glad she kept herself busy with work and activism in her final years. R.I.P..
I only got to really appreciate Margot Kidder as an actress - and as an amazing person - fairly late in my life. She was a beautiful spirit who in her own way, actually helped make the world a better place through her presence and existence. Thanks for posting this lovely documentary!
A revelation. I was a big Margot kidder fan when I was young. Superman in junior high, she was a GREAT Lois Lane. Then Amityville Horror in high school with James Brolin scared the life out of me. Later I saw Sisters for the first time, there was nothing she couldn't do. Great actor, hilarious comedy, on and on. So beautiful, so unique. She is a great legend and a great star for me. R.I.P.
We will never forget you Margot. I always watched your films all of my life and still do and love to see your interviews as well to remember you. We will never forget you.
When she passed, one of the pictures I posted in tribute on Twitter was of her & Carrie talking at some event, possibly a charity dinner from the looks of it. Being born in 1971, Carrie’s Leia & Margot’s Lois Lane were the first depictions of women in film that I saw. (Saw the 1st SW in the theater but saw Superman II in theaters before Superman I - not sure why or when I finally saw S1, but S2 opening with a substantial recap of S1 was very helpful.) Both characters were strong women, so I grew up believing women were equal to - scratch that - often more competent than men. Leia’s would-be rescuers in the 1st Star Wars film ended up needing Leia to rescue them & Lois was repeatedly referred to as the best reporter on staff in these Superman films. I’m surprised no one else found that underwear line funny, but it does explain her ability to nail all the scenes where Lois does hilariously stupid thing. 😂 It was months after her actual cause of death was revealed that I learned of - likely one of those times I had a migraine & the story made it’s rounds in the news cycle before I was back on my feet. I know people have to want help to get it, but they also need a strong support system; it seems she was very much alone in life. 😢😔
Margot first came to my attention in a lovely little Irish film playing opposite Gene Wilder in Quackser Fortune Has A Cousin In The Bronx. Check it out as it rewards repeated viewings. Rest in Peace Ms. Kidder.
Sad life yeah Terrible ending I don't know She got to go out on her own terms instead of rotting in some Hospital which is more than we can say about most
For me, the best Superman is Christopher Reeve's, Henry Cavil, George Reeves and Dean Cain is an honorable mention. The rest of them just didn't give me the perception that they're Superman. RIP Christopher and George, and maybe one day, Henry will to return to the role. But that's just me I guess. Curious to see your thoughts on who is your Superman. As far as Lois Lane is concerned, for me it's always going to be Margot Kidder. To me she fit the role perfectly, and executed it well. Cheers Dion
We love you Margot. RIP
Yes we do! I miss her! She was awesome!
I wish she could still be here. But also wish her well wherever her spirit is now.
She has always been in my memories from being a child who grew up watching and loving the Superman movies.
“ uh-
I actually...live where she was born-
If you didn’t know, there’s a street named after her in Yellowknife.”
I remember her breakdown in the news. I was shocked and saddened when that happened. I'm so glad she kept herself busy with work and activism in her final years. R.I.P..
Too good and precious for this planet 💜

Sisters is a memorable movie. So creepy.
just watched Black Christmas. Feel like this woman is my kindred spirit.
Just watched Black Christmas as well…for the first time.
She has the exact same energy as Carrie Fisher, the same sense of humor ... they would probably be a riot if they knew each other ..
They're both my favorite Sci-Fi heroines in the 70s 80s.
They were actually friends :) they bonded over bi polar disorder. If you google it you’ll see.
@@MegaAdrian321 hi adrian I hope your a nice person

Maggie as a child looked a lot like a Chatty Cathy doll- super cute!
All October born are a little out there . . . But genuinely caring souls.
People only hear screaming. They don't listen.
Check it out as it rewards repeated viewings. Rest in Peace Ms. Kidder.
What a warm and funny lady she was, RIP Ms. Kidder 🙏🏾
I remember the movie black Christmas she did
I just watched it for the first time. Really enjoyed it.
Thank You, for this. ♥️
what a beautiful soul.
never knew about her life till now. How sad and terrible ending
Sad life yeah
Terrible ending I don't know
She got to go out on her own terms instead of rotting in some Hospital which is more than we can say about most
Actually her life was as dramatic as Christopher Reeves '
I wonder why she took her own life , such a shame
Looks like Karren Allen and sounds like Carrie Fisher
Great observation!
More like the actress from ghost and strip tease.
I always though Karen Allen looked like Margot Kidder. 😉 Never compared her voice with Carrie’s, I will now.
Sooo sad with this women.
What a cute baby! Look at that expression! He’s plotting!
So, the director and writer Lee Grant, is that the same Oscar winning actress Lee Grant?
Yes
She looks like the other actress in ghost

Cavill could have been great if he was given the right scripts but he didn't get them because they were written by cynics.
Margot only had a small part in the film, "Someone Watching" but she stole it. She was so funny. God bless Margot
She was great as Gaia in Captain Planet
cool be safe in Christ
RIP ❤
How/why did she go from this lovely last state to suicide by drugs and alcohol? 😢
Sadly, she was bipolar.
Happens sometimes when the pendulum swings back
adoro questa donna
Lois Lane.
❤
