- Update: After wearing this a few more times I don't think I will be keeping this in my collection. I like the sweet berry opening which quickly turns into a lovely but fleeting lipstick accord. I would have liked the lipstick to stay around a little longer. Like I mentioned in the video the dry down is a bit to harsh and abrasive. Too much fever and not enough lipstick.

This one is very different than Lipstick Rose. It isnt powdery or rosy. It really shines in the opening then takes a turn to me.
@@LolaScents oh it happens quite often with me too. Love in the opening, meh in the dry down. It was my case with Putain des Palaces, which is supposed to be a make up fragrance too but it was a no to me.
Anxious to try this one. Gentlewoman is my very favorite.

We had the same feelings and smells . I get tobacco on the dry down which I don't like. I don't get any vanilla. I may pass this along. I just got it. I may sit with it and try it a few more times I love lipstick Rose you described it spot on
💄 sounded like a nice adaptation of a lipstick scent, shame it ended up harsh. I have Misia by Chanel and it's so far, my fave lipstick scent. Also, Rose Barbare by Guerlain has a waxy style rose which goes in that direction too.

I bought a sample of this a week ago. I loved it - until the dry down. I think what put me off was what you are referring to as the suede or tobacco smell. It gave me a headache. I so wanted to love it. 😞
I agree that this house leans synthetic-heavy. It's not my favorite. But I just enjoy listening to you talk! You're so well spoken and soothing.

I have the eau de toilette, it’s a brilliant way to create the effect of a vintage lipstick in a leather make up bag. The violet is prominent and really beautiful in it. We have very similar impressions of this one, I get the synthetic accord that’s in Sauvage with this, the opening was nice but very quickly goes harsh synthetic mass appeal masculine. For lipstick Guerlain French Kiss is high on my want list but I’m finding Prada Candy Gloss scratches that itch with a similar feel but less syrupy sweet and much less 💷💷💵💵

Loved your video!! Love Lipstick scents and I have a few bottles you have mentioned. FYI, I believe Lipstick On has been discontinued. The bottles are getting hard to find and super expensive when you do find them. Maybe get it while you can? :)

that lipstick note is tricky for me , there hit & miss with me sometimes i like it & sometimes it has a strong playdough feel im not a fan off .. i like smelling more often than not but rarelly like wearing it my self
i got more of the lipstick-ish vibe when I sprayed it on my clothes. it reminds me of bvlgari pour femme perfume although the dry down is different from the bvlgari one. It's not a love, only a like. I got a 100 ml bottle by mistake, but I keep it.

Wondering when people mentioned 'lipstick' scents, is it the typical vanilla lipstick scents or the old plasticy lipstick smell?
Its I guess what you are referencing as old. Its usually violet and waxy iris scented.

This one kind of smells like wood too much it's just got the smell of lipstick left in a bag ... but Lipstick On by Maison margiela is really good

It seems to me that JHAG can’t do one scent right.. all synthetic mess .. and copy paste of other just made less quality

This smells cheap and synthetic to my nose. It smells more like grenadine syrup with violet and synthetic vanilla to me than lipstick.
I feel so sorry because I really wanted to love it but I don't.😢
For that price, I'd better go with lipstick rose, lipstick on, orris & sandalwood, iris de nuit...
Dont hesitate! I agree it is heavy on the synthetics as I find most JHAG are. I did enjoy the opening but it quickly went wrong for me. I find the fragrances I shared at the end better executed.
