Why why why would they discontinue Lipstick On?? I had a sample and loved it and now it is gone. Trying to find a dupe.
I love lipstick dry downs, reminds me of my mom as well. I think it's such a soft and warm sent. Hermes twilly to me has that lipstick dry down on me and at first I did not like it, then I tried it again sprayed a bit more and it just made me have to find more like it with that lipstick smell. I'm obsessed!

I agree that Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose is a must try if you love the true scent of lipstick. I got an immediate scent memory of family gatherings when I tried Lipstick Rose because although none of the women in my family wore perfume but they all wore lipstick. It brought back many happy memories.
My mom and I loved Meteorites and Lipstick Rose. I shared these with her plus some citrusy-sweet scents. She was thrilled with them. She passed away a few years ago - I'll never forget these times with her. I keep a tiny bit of her favorite scents, especially the original meteorites, which smells like a sparkling lipstick, with lots of iris.

I bought Lipstick Fever after watching Ross’ review at TLTG Reviews and bought a bottle within the week. It was my first JHAG bottle and I absolutely adore it even as a man and have gotten several compliments at work. I’ve since got my nose on multiple JHAG frags including Vanilla Vibes, NaP Superdose, Musc Invisible. And I’m sure there are others out there I’ll love. Great review. Great scent.

Love The lipstick powdery make up smell.I definitely want to try some of these fragrances that you recommended. Recently I purchased Chanel Misia, which is very bold Violet in the opening ,but the dry down is a very soft powdery, leathery smell.

When I first started this journey I tried Dior Homme and although I did not hate it, I was in no rush to get a bottle or any of the others. 10 months later I sampled Dior Homme Intense and was blown away. I could not believe how much my taste had expanded and with take of discontinuation I bought a bottle right away, then blind bought Dior Homme Parfum. Although I have not worn DHI as much as some of my other fragrances it is my most complimented! One day I had one of the guys in our supply section ask me to write down the name so he could look for it for himself. I am looking to sample JHAG Lipstick Fever here once it gets cooler.

I think Chanel's "Misia" is a honourable contender in this catergory.
I am a little on the fence with JHAG Lipstick Fever, the dry down falls a bit flat on my skin, though generally I think it is a pretty fragrance. FM's Lipstick Rose is lovely memories of my Grandmas cosmetics, and her kind of "aura", so do enjoy it. :)

Hello! I love hearing about when you were a kid smelling everything! Same! I have 4 incredible kids, 3 of them sons, and they all will comment on my fragrance daily. My youngest loves to stand at my dressing table, in all his athletic gear usually😂, and take the tops off and just smell through my perfumes and talk about them with me!! Love how they are true gentlemen! My daughter, now in law school, has become a collector as well... as she didn’t really have a choice😂🥰! I wanted to share a wonderful lipstick scent that is very affordable: Calvin Klein Eternity Intense. It is very comforting and beautiful with the powdery iris lipstick being the main focus. It has nothing in common with Eternity, not sure why it’s a flanker all these years later ,2016 release, but it’s a little gem! Thank you for your channel!

I adore lipstick and makeup frags and iris/violet combo frags. I haven't tried Lipstick Fever yet, but I want to. I am a woman but I love Dior Homme Intense and wear it frequently. I used to wear Lipstick On but ran out. Lipstick Rose is on my wish list. Someone else in the comment mentioned Bruise Violet from Sixteen92, and I have that and really enjoy it, and it's a tad bit lipsticky, but not as lipsticky as the ones you mentioned.
Lipstick On is one of my faves ever!
I love Dior Homme in allflankes of it and I don't mind the lipstick note, if I like the fragrance I use it, I wear fragrance for myself whatever people think is their problem. Thanks for the list Sebastian, I have to try Iris Torrefie and lipstick fever.

I do get the lipsticky vibe from DHI, but it does not bother me, the fragrance is just wonderful! For very formal ocassions, it's one of the top choices I could think of.
A video suggestion there maybe Sebastian? Even if corona doesn't allow right now, but what are your absolute top choices for most formal ocassions? (Eg. maybe not just suit and tie for work environments, but a gala sort of thing, maybe even wearing a smoking, something like that, ultimate formality/elegance)
I haven’t yet smelled DHI but I have D600 by Carner Barcelona which people say reminds them of it. I just got a sample of FM’s Iris Poudre- testing now. I don’t think I love it really.. I do love the D600 though. Gonna wash off the Poudre so I can keep smelling the Ambre Loup I am wearing today and wow I love it..
iris is my favorite note ever. its so sad that DHI is not available anymore here in the US

I actually bought lipstick fever on mecari and it smells like straight alcohol. It’s authentic but it’s 4 years old and I’m assuming the seller didn’t store it right. I took the top off so it can macerate for a couple of months so I can go back to it. I CAN smell the fragrance slightly, but the alcohol smell is there and it doesn’t go away until the dry down. I checked batch code and it’s authentic, but since it’s 4 years old and never been opened I just think it went bad.
Have you tried L'ange Noir by Givenchy? To me it is a very nice cosmetic/lipstick-y smell with a sesame opening. That's also a really good one! Love this list ✨💋✨

I am anosmic to JHAG Lipstick Fever. The only other fragrance I really can not smell anything there is Ariana Grande's Cloud. I have JHAG Mmmm and I was hoping it would be as nicely flavored as that. Really enjoyed your review, as always. You know what has a great "lipstick accord"? Dove Soap. Man, that is a great smell.

Hey Sebastian this isn´t about the video but I just wanted to say something real quick.
I often see videos of fragrance reviewers who recommand designer fragrances which smell very similar to niche ones because they are more affordable.
I definitely like that idea but I would actually love to see a video from you where you talk about popular designer fragrances you like and give recommandations of somewhat similar niche fragrances you LOVE and explain why they end up on you skin more often than the designer counterpart.
They don´t have to and actually shouldn´t smell nearly identical. For example I was thinking about The One and what niche fragrance could possibly go in the same direction but is just a little bit more refined / more interesting / complex or longer lasting..
Maybe you have some ideas about this or other designer fragrances :D

I've always wondered one thing: when you smell for example a real rose (the flower in nature) you can also recognize its scent in various fragrances without hesitation. With the Iris flower it is different. In the sense that when Iris is mentioned as a component in the composition of a perfume, it does not correspond at all to the true scent of the flower.
Iris is the root not the flower. It's also called orris! :)
I couldn't figure out why Lipstick Fever reminded me of a drawer in my mom's room as a child. Because of the wood! Thank you GOD that was driving me nuts.

Tried Gallagher's new one Behold Patchouli today. I normally don't like patches and I fell in love with it! Super cool concept the complimenting notes play up all facets that patchouli is normally placed with! Try it!

I always hear reviewers compare iris fragrances to lipstick. I think there is a generation thing to this because I don’t find the lipsticks I buy to have an iris scent. But I can get this more with older lipsticks brands or those from pharmacies.
I can totally see this since I was a little kid hanging with my mom when she really did use lipstick much more I remember the smell but I don't smell it much now unfortunately. :)

I was so excited when I heard about Lipstick Fever. Sadly it had too much patchouli that overpowered everything else. If the patchouli was much lighter, it would be perfect. This one is more a "fruitchouli
I don't know what lipstick smells like even I probably have 100 lip products. Lipstick nowadays often smells like candy cherry or vanilla. Very sweet, some even taste sweet...
I thought the Juliette has a gun fragrance smelled like syrup. Very candy sweet. To me a lipstick kinda scent is Mademoiselle by Chanel. Maybe cause it reminds me of Chanel lipsticks.

DHP is not discontinued and you can find it in 100ml now. Check it out...more juice.

I am fairly neutral on the JHAG house. I like them but find a lot of their releases to have poor longevity. I find Lipstick Fever to be a very modern take on a vintage style of fragrance. As someone dipping their toes into powdery perfumes (and I do not enjoy baby powder notes such as in Narciso Rodriguez Poudree) I can confidently recommend this.
Let me put it this way, this would absolutely be the signature scent of Nicole Kidman’s “Satine” character in Moulin Rouge.
