Anxiously awaiting mine, this week! By the way, I just saw a vid by an actual arcade operator who has the commercial version of this. He showed how they can actually change out the game roms on those machines, by pulling, and replacing any of 4 cartridges in the unit, and then opening up the marquee, and slipping in the appropriate mini marquee cards, to reflect the games in the cabinet. Thanks for sharing this.

Glad I watched this. Was hesitant from watching a few others talk about buttons, but they seemed to work for you. Plus you could change em if needed.
Yeah the controls really are pretty decent. I’m going to keep them as is. Maybe down the road I’ll install higher end sticks and buttons. 👍
And this is why these videos are so important because I had no idea about Shock Troopers and just checked it out, just added to my favorites too! Pretty cool game I have to get used to the controls though. Thanks again

The riser looks better than I was expecting. I thought the coin door was just going to be part of the artwork. I think it looks great. Great review

I might look into the MVSX after my Golden Axe Cab arrives and have a little time with it.
Mine came in the mail yesterday :) It looks great, but I do notice some display differences between a MVS and this, which is expected (e.g. Shock Troopers looks kind of blocky). Overall though, it’s a neat product and I’m happy I bought it.

Good review! I like how this looks next to the Arcade1ups as far as size and height. Probably wouldn't hurt to let them know about that dead pixel. Worse they could do is replace that monitor. I'd say for the money it would be worth telling them about. Man, I like it though. 👍

@@3rdFloorArcade Good to hear man. We got our seated OutRun cab Friday morning and none of the controls would work. I checked all of the wires and connections to make sure that they were seated properly and tight. They were.. I put in a ticket and over the weekend got tired of waiting. Checked everything with my voltage meter and traced the issue to the PCB or ribbon cable. I pulled both and cleaned the connections on both ends of the ribbon cable with alcohol and reseated both ends. Then everything started working great. Arcade1up finally got back to me this morning and told me to check the PCB and ribbon cable. LOL This thing is a big hit with my wife and kids. Love it.

The cabinet is pretty nice, I’d have liked the riser to have a door/shelves, just because it’s literally an empty box.

Awesome! I really wanna add one of these to my game room some day! Cool that you can turn the blood on! I was worried when I saw shock troopers without it. I’m guessing you get the option on every game?

I have another question is it even possible to swap out the sticks and buttons? Or how does that work? Do I have to buy it from SNK?
It is possible but I haven’t done it myself. I’ve seen CZcams videos of people doing that with the MVSX. I honestly feel like the ones on there are pretty decent. Might swap them out in the future.

How did you get blood on Metal Slug? I thought another review said there was no blood? Did they do an update?
If you go into settings, there’s an option for Violence on/off. 👍

Yeah it looks pretty good next to the older 58 inch 1ups. I still haven’t purchased the MVSX riser but I actually do plan on getting that still.

The control panel looks tiny, looks like no place to place your hands. Is it comfortable?
Maybe a little. I don’t think it’s too bad though. Overall I thought it was pretty comfortable playing it. And the sticks and buttons were actually better than I was expecting. Not the greatest, but pretty decent.
Does the neo have both baseball games on it. 1-2

I have a quick question man. Does it save high scores when you power down the arcade machine or does it reset the high score board?
Yes this does save scores and also saves your game progress. Pretty sure every game saves, I haven’t tried on all the games however.

Hi! Did you ever get the dead pixel on your cabinet fixed? I just got one today and I have a dead pixel as well. Wondering how good the customer service is.
I didn’t get the pixel fixed but I reached out to them as they gave me an option of a new unit or a small refund. I took the small refund. The dead pixel isn’t too bad, I can live with it 👍

Street Fighter Mortal Kombat NBA JAM. These are the cabinets I have now. These are selling high dollar on Amazon now. Hard to get them from vendors. Do you recommend swapping the Sanwa buttons??
Very cool, and this machine does have maybe the best value out of the Arcade 1Up's, with it having the most games to offer. Bummer your monitor had a dead pixel, and did it just appear out of nowhere, or was it like that off the bat? My Mame arcade machine had a couple, which took me a while to notice, and unfortunately couldn't quite take my eyes off them once I noticed too! (L.O.L.!)
Def a great value. I love the MVSX. The dead pixel sucks but these things happen with these machines. Not too big of a deal.
@@3rdFloorArcade I hear you, even if they're like an annoying pimple on an otherwise beautiful face though! Some monitors do often seem to come with them right out of the box, and usually aren't anything too major, but still.

Is the stand stable meaning how is the arcade affixed to the stand is it screwed in
The bartop screws down into the top plate of the stand. It’s very stable. However, there’s an issue with the top plate and MVSX is sending out a new piece to people who have ordered the stand. The bartop isn’t properly resting down onto that top plate as it should.

@@sergiovega4563 the part is basically a top panel for the base stand. So it’s about the size of the bottom of the bar top. Comes in a flat box that weight like 10 pounds or so. 👍

I've received it a week ago, still didn't open it because on saturday i'm moving in another flat of mine. I bought the bundle on amazon via the german distributor and i've spent 699 euros, custom and delivery to Italy included. It would have been 730 euros if i was buying it from the german distributor official website but i had 300 euros gift card from friends so i bought it there :) by the way the raiser is pretty heavy :)

A great review, and very positive, but I find it funny how people complained about this been fighter heavy, but when they talk about the arcade1up street fighter cabinet they were fine with so many versions of street fighter II it has. Sometimes giving more won't actually satisfy people. If they packaged this as a KOF cabinet it might be praised a lot more...

That's the thing though. People buy a Street Fighter cabinet because they want Street Fighter. But when they buy a more generalized thing like a "NeoGeo" cabinet, they want more than just fighters. There's a lot of shmups, and even sports games they could have tossed on this.
I mean, imagine buying a "Capcom" cabinet, only for it to be 80% fighting games, despite the plethora of non-fighting Capcom games that exist. I'd complain about that just as much.

Wow! That’s crazy it sold out. I’m sure there’s more stock coming soon. It might be unavailable currently on amazon due to the problem with the top of the base stand. The bar top isn’t properly attaching to it. They might just be sorting out that issue. I just received the corrected piece the other day. 👍

@@3rdFloorArcade I wanted this arcade cabinet too but too much $$$ and decisions this year and I am almost done with a year of modding my TMNT 1up and all the Neo Geo / Neo Geo CD, Neo Geo Pocket, and Neo Geo Pocket Color games are on there along with most of SNK arcade games and 10,000+ games.
@Markus Müller No lag at all! Given I can run Dreamcast, Naomi, Atomsiwave and 20 or more systems more advanced than Neo Geo with zero lag, I am not sure what you are trying to say here. WTH is a mister?

The Flyers are on the rise. They have done a good job drafting and their farm system is loaded with blue chip prospects. I expect big things from the Flyers in the next couple of years. Definitely serious Stanley Cup contenders. You can bet on that brother!

the incorrect 6 button and tiny control panel stopped me from buying this, Neo Geo is and always will be a 4 button game, Maybe when the price is cut in 1/2 and it can be modded to make it correct
Yeah the control deck is a bit goofy for sure compared to the normal Neo Geo layout
I heard they are working on a hack via usb, the 6 buttons will come in handy for Capcom games. ;)

just got this played it for 1 hour stuck it back in the box and put on ebay and sold it, the thing is too small it smashes my hand , speakers distorting ,buttons suck & is a piece of shit
