What do you do if it's NON ELS? Please help. :(
Found it, you go into the carcols.meta file and edit the HEX Color codes that are red and turn them into the HEX Color for blue, then save the file and done. Super ez
Glad you found a solution! 😎👍
Btw HUGGEEE thank you for making these paint net tutorials! I've been playing LSPDFR for a few months now and began wanting to know how to customize the skins and how to make all blue lights at my own convenience rather than waiting for a creator to upload the version and this has unlocked soooo much for me to do now.
That's awesome!! I'm really glad to hear than the tutorials have been helpful! :) For more conversation with myself and a community of others learning to do the same things, feel free to check out my discord link in the description :)
Thank you for this video. It helped a lot!
This is very helpful I’m
Just getting into lspdfr so I want to learn all I can about it . Thank u
I'm so glad you found this helpful :) that is the main reason I made sure my videos stayed up. Help anyone who needs it, whether they're new to LSPDFR, or they've been using it for years 😀
howdy kahl :D this just came in handy for tonight :D i was trying to add some pink lights on these breast cancer cars..wasn't sure if pink would actually work..but, it did :D
Yes!!!! I love that idea and I'm glad it worked!
AWESOME video 100% i live in buffalo ny. the front lights have mostly red with some white. rear is the same but have a couple blues. I created a Buffalo police Charger. but it was mixed with blue and white. then i watched this video. AMAZING. now its red and white. My question is how do i know whast textures go where without stating the game over and over and changing? i want to put a couple blue in the rear only.
what do you do if you need to change it blue to red and blue
How do I fix it if the light reflections on the walls around my car still have red
Your tutorials are really good. Can you explain how to make templates? Some cars dont have templates so I want to know how to create them
Much appreciated Worlder! I wish I knew actually... unfortunately there are only 2 ways I know to have a template
A) the unlocked dev model comes with one
Or
B) the person using an unlocked dev model to create the vehicle also creates the template.
Once a vehicle is locked and released, you cannot load it into zmodeler and edit a vehicle.
What do you do if it's non els
How do you get such nice enviromental lighting? Care to share your visual settings or what you modified to make it look so good?
Thanks for asking! I released a video this morning which talks about changing lighting colors as well as improving the environmental lighting. czcams.com/video/vFN-KPIDrUY/video.html
Kahlandir great tutorial but question if we wanted to change the colors from other than red or blue to say green would we use color picker and swap it out or something more special? Many thanks in advance. 😉
Wonderful question! I actually have a solution I would, which I could do as a follow-up video to this one. Changing the colors can be done, though for consistency between textures, I would recommend using the file available below - And copy the texture you want for each one. Most importantly, for ease of changing the reflections in the xml, change all of one color to another. for example - going from Red/Blue to Orange/Green. Change all red textures to Orange and Blue to Green. This way you can change red = orange and blue = green in the xml file. :)

Kahlandir that would be awesome a follow up video, it is super helpful way to follow along with someone.
I'll see if I can get one together soon :)
DefinED gHoSt already saw it, but for anyone else wondering about this, here is the link to the new video on how to change multiple colors and unique colors :) czcams.com/video/vFN-KPIDrUY/video.html
het bro,im confused because i use the colour pick and then when i go to the bucket and click on the red square nothing happens.
Great question. There are a couple things to consider/watch for. 1st - make sure you are on the same layer of the object you're trying to pick the color from. 2nd - make sure you don't have any selection boxes drawn, or if you intend to use a box, male sure you're selecting color inside the selection :)
Hope that is helpful!
i changed all to red in els settings and Its still blinks blue and red
The ELS settings would effect the reflections around your vehicle. If the reflections are all red, but the vehicle still has red/blue lights, that would indicate the lighting textures are still red/blue. If the reflections are still showing red/blue, my first steps would be to double check that you edited the correct file, and that it saved properly.
how i can do it from all blue to red and blue ?
That requires a bit more knowledge of how the vehicle model and lighting was setup, or a lot of guessing and patience..
Each light module is set to a specific spot on the texture. So if the ones that would normally be red are also blue, it is tough to know which ones should be switched to blue.
You could experiment by saving a copy and modifying one blue section of texture, test it in game. And repeat until you're happy with the results.
The transparency isn't showing up in game after editing. I saved .Png
Did you uncheck the template layer? Doing so will hide the template and show the checkered transparent background. Then once saved, it will be clear (white as default) in game, and changeable in a trainer :)
@@Kahlandir there is only the one layer. It even removed the transparency on lights I didn't edit.
@@Kahlandir do I need the transparent parts on another layer?
@@Caboolable My apologies. I had seen this on my phone at first which did not show which video the comment was on. I believed it to be a vehicle texture. Then I've been digging into what the problem could be!
So after opening the light texture, you edited the light one you wanted to change, then saved it as a png, which should be a single layer. All makes sense to that point.
When you add your new png to your vehicle, does the new texture change your lights at all in game? I'm trying to picture what the result of the new texture is.
@@Kahlandir yeah it changes it to blue in the game and the model viewer. But it's no longer transparent.
It also removes the transparency on the amber light which I did not change but is on the same picture.
How to make only one side blink? For example, Ford Crown Victoria originally had a blue and red light bar. I want that for example when I press "K" only the blue side of the lightbar flashes. Here is a video from reality, I also want in the game: czcams.com/video/513INgLlM3U/video.html
That is a very interesting setup!
In order to change the patterns to have the red be steady burn, it would require the vehicle model to be set up with that built in using zmodeler. I have minimal experience with the program, but I know steady burns can be set up that way :)
I am confused i don;t know what to do.
Which part are you looking for help on? :)
i didnt see the fivem way
imma make mine green and orange
I did green and orange for 2018 & 2019 halloween skin packs :)
Here is the 2018 skin pack upload with a stream by AcePilot2k7 with an intro that showcased the vehicles

Here is 2019 :)

Did you end up changing your lights to green and orange? I put together a followup video to this one showcasing how to do exactly that :) czcams.com/video/vFN-KPIDrUY/video.html
Have a great day!
