How to change ELS Lights from Red & Blue to All Blue

Great tutorial buddy! Much appreciated, as I really don't care for R&B on my PD cars. I like to have my Sheriff vehicles run R&B, that way it's differentiating.
By the way, I install emergency vehicle equipment for a living, so I really get a kick out of the lights on LSPDFR, being I work with them daily.

In OpenIV there is no need to convert back to DDS. Just click the texture you are working with, and then click the button at the top that says replace. Locate the png file you modified and open it. It will replace the original with the new one. Save it, and give it a few moments during the save process. Once it takes the ytd window will close. Check the yft (the actual car model) file to confirm the changes took. Done.
If you want OpenIV to remain in EDIT mode each time you launch it, just go to TOOLS > OPTIONS and change default work mode to EDIT. Close it out. When you launch the program again it will remain in EDIT mode.
Pro tip. Any changes you make in OpenIV are permanent and can't be undone. There is no commit dialog box it just replaces. So ALWAYS back up the original file(s) you re going to change before modifying them.

Is there any way to change the ELS light color on Playstation 4?
No, you can only change light colors on PC. Sorry.
Btw if anybody has an pack that comes with files that can change the color of lights with a few files. follow his steps and when you get to where you see the lights to replace delete all the old light files. and drag and drop the new one's in click "Save" and view the model to see if it worked.

the light colors are kind of transparent for my car so when i drag the blue over the red it just makes it a purple color. im using gimp and i dont know what to do.
I've never used gimp, but you should replace the red with the blue, not layer over it.
@@cupowar I dont know how to use gimp and it took a few painful hours figuring it out but I just pasted 8 blue layers over the red and it looks like a light blue, almost white but you dont really notice it unless you look at it up close

How do you make it so your lights can be blue red? Cause some cars Ive seen on lspdfr have lights that shine blue and red, idk how to really explain it😂
You can use any colors you want if you follow the steps in the video. Blue and red, all blue, all red, all green, amber and green, etc.
can you do this with a car you've bought and downloaded into your fivem server?
You should be able to change the color of the lights on the car using this method, but I don't know how the environmental lights work since FiveM doesn't use ELS.

I try and replace the texture file with my dds file and it says about my dds file file is not imported how do I fix this
First, make sure you’re in edit mode. The. Try importing the file as a png maybe?

No, that’s specific to certain cars and light bars. Each car pack will have their own light files with different names.
How do I make dlc cars all blue?
Same method but go into the DLC folder to find the vehicle models you want to change.
How to make only one side blink? For example, Ford Crown Victoria originally had a blue and red light bar. I want that for example when I press "K" only the blue side of the lightbar flashes. Here is a video from reality, I also want in the game: czcams.com/video/513INgLlM3U/video.html
I’ve never done something like before but you’d have to go into the ELS XML file for the specific car and play around with the stage settings. I’m guessing the way you want your lights to flash is similar to setting up a steady burn light. Maybe search videos for that and see if you can figure it out?
@@cupowar I found a model where there is such a setting that I want, here: uk.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/toyota-corolla-2020-add-on-replace-fivem-ready-template-israeli-police- car only here it stands for type 2 flashing (ie when I press J twice, only the blue side of the lightbar flashes, and when I press J again, the third mode is activated, the mode in which the whole lightbar flashes) But even for I would be good 2 type of flashing, and even better - to make that the first press on J (the first type, the so-called CODE1) turned on only the red light bar, the second press on J (the second type, the so-called CODE2) turned on only blue, and on the third press on J (the third type, so-called CODE3) all lightbar worked. By the way, regarding those 3 types, I would like the cars to pass me only on CODE1 and CODE3, but not on CODE2. Because we have CODE2 in Ukraine (mode in which only the blue light bar flashes) is the patrol mode in which cars do not pass a police car. In fact, it is also the same as just driving on the road just with a blue light bar.

did you find a solution because im having the same problem. I'm pretty sure it's not an els.ini problem. it looks like a texture problem to me but i don't know how to fix it
Didn’t work for me
I don’t know what to tell you other than something wasn’t saved right or something wasn’t imported right into OpenIV. I’ve used this method at least 50 times and it’s never not worked for me.
@@cupowar I’m not saying it doesn’t work for you but I just don’t understand what I did wrong. It could just be on a certain vehicle because I tried it on one
It should work on any vehicle. The first time you do it, it seems pretty complicated. After you’ve done a few packs worth of cars it becomes easy. Keep trying and start over with a clean version of the vehicle you first tried. You’ll get it eventually.

I have folders that can change the lights but when I put it on allblue lights, it doesn't work. It just keeps it at red and blue.. Any tips?
