Thoughts on this new beauty trend? Are you satisfied with your face shape?
I hate everything about my entire body. I need plastic surgeries but I’m broke and underage.
"Beauty" Trends just keep getting worse and worse. And it sucked because a bunch of young girls and maybe even guys are watching these types of videos on tiktoks constantly scrolling and feeling bad about themselves. And I won't lie when I was 12-13 years old I used to feel the same way! I would compare myself to other girls and feel bad about myself! But I didn't realise my body was just beginning to grow! And i'm a 15 year old girl now and I'm just so glad I allowed myself to grow. Because I love myself and I love my body! To the person reading this REMEMBER YOU ARE THE ✨*CHASE* ✨
Yes
Pretty much I like my round cheeks they're cute (I think)
@@Anonymous_4202 don't say thattt 😕 I'm sure your gorgeous
It kills me how they call normal fat “excess fat”
Exactly beauty standards are getting worse and ridiculous to actually meet
@@Imauser88 I don’t think they’re getting worse. I’m almost 50 and there’s always been some stupid body fashion or another. When I was a teen everyone was trying to get wide shoulder and thin, thin hips. Basically an upside down triangle. The problem now is much easier access to, and acceptance of, surgery. (Edit to add, not that I think surgery is bad but if it’s permanent it’s potentially/probably a bad idea for body shape fads - and they are ALWAYS fads. Even thin waists aren’t always in fashion.)
@@jaybee4118 It's funny how drastically beauty trends can change and that human bodies are a part of trends. Now everyone wants wide hips instead of thin hips

Being a teenager in this generation is hard af. Imagine being told to remove your natural face fat and change your body in general for that short relief until another trend comes. 😭
Exactly 💀 we got to stop doing this whole "Let's follow trends" because they are literally killing and hurting people
No one is telling them that, though. It's all about common sense and joining the real world.

It’s sad how older women get surgery to look younger while these young girls are getting procedures that age them significantly! It’s like society is always demanding us to look like something we’re not.
Facts
That last part is exactly it.
Society is not forcing/demanding anyone.
The problem is that you are insecure about your own personality.
@@asclepius4855 No it is. Pretty privilege exist for a reason. People wanna be treated better so they think surgery is going to do that.
@@asclepius4855 it is though? the more people change the more "normal" people will be seen as ugly and the more "uglier" you are the worse you are treated. of course being insecure plays a part but its this thats causing these insecurities or people who call others ugly.
Ironically, I feel so fed up that I don't even feel hate for my body or face anymore. It is just so crazy and funny in a dark way that there are fast trends for body.
Also, Zoe's jacket is beyond cool, it just looks so badass.
I can relate lol

Actually i dont like the jacket. And the hair. But shes smart.
It's just tiring to keep up with everything that's wrong with you that you just tune it out eventually
Same here. I’m just done, I don’t care if people find me attractive or not.
I'm in my late 20s and trust me, having baby cheeks are nice. People still think I'm a high schooler when I'm not wearing makeup. I used to think it's annoying, but recently i've come to terms with it thinking hey, i'm still gonna look fresh later in my 40s!
My "fat" face makes me look younger at 51 😊

As a person raised in México that was born and now lives in the USA i can confidently say that just because something is cheaper in Mexico it does not mean it is bad quality or poorly done/made and in some cases things are better done in Mexico.
That comment about mexico made me roll my eyes so hard I almost saw my own brain and was overall very classist
@@zoeunlimited.. You should correct your prejudiced xenophobic comment where you're badly generalizing about Mexico's medicine quality, it's ignorant and disrespectful, also it's totally out of context, people from the USA go to Mexico because it's cheaper but that's NOT because it's "low/worse quality": it's because Mexico's own currency is BELOW the USA currency. Same with the rest of Latin America. The lower price doesn't mean it's "bad quality" compared to the USA, it's just a DIFFERENT ECONOMY VALUE of currency that makes the difference in the prices. It's good quality.
Why is it cheaper?
I know right ?! Meanwhile everyone orders everything from china and thinks it’s better because it is cheaper .
@@jeanpierre5941 because the purchasing power is different between the two countries and there is also the exchange rate - the mexican peso is approx. 18 pesos to 1USD. This all means one can buy more using the US Dollar in Mexico. That being said, it's not "cheaper" because it is of lower quality - I mean sure, it's true for some places because they skimp corners but that's true in the US as well, quality likely varies more across surgeons than across countries
@Vir Z the one you are replying to is a scam account
Imagine getting a surgery to make you look older faster... the toxic bbl trend is no more but they have a new contender
Thank you! I wholeheartedly agree. It completely makes them look older. I always hated that look. I minimize my cardio as when I do too much, my face looks like that and I think it looks awful.
as a 16 yo skinny teen who has been insecure about my cheeks and my face i really appreciate your video. i ve tried every natural way to reduce my face fat - unsuccessfully. i can finally accept and appreciate the way my face looks, it’s unique and okay to don’t have a sharp face. thanks zoe for your work!
I know how you feel, and have the same type of face. Just realize that your face volume is going to help you when you age as you get older. ❤️❤️ it’s beautiful love your face shape because it’s yours
I have a round face and was very insecure about it for a long time. When I met my husband he told me my face looked like a moon. I was offended and he didn't understand why, because he meant it as a compliment. Maybe you don't like your cheeks but someone else will think they are very beautiful. When you look in the mirror try to see you through the eyes of someone who loves you.
I was like that too when I was younger, I have since lost some fat in my face (because of aging) but I still have a bit of cheek :) Nothing wrong with beautiful full cheeks that make you look like a cherub :) and you will look "youthful" even as you age!
It’s honestly sad that beauty influencers would uses their platform to make their young adolescent follows feel like they need to do the same or they’re not beautiful. It’s insane. I have chubby cheeks and I know I’m beautiful so please if you’re reading this and considering it know you are beautiful just the way you are ❤🙏🏽
I know where you’re coming from, but as others have already said, even if you have yet to learn to love your cheeks, others already do! I never thought much at all about my cheeks, but my husband has been commenting on them for 12 years now. He loves them. So be that person to yourself
Tip for all the girlies: If you feel insecure, look at classical greek or renaissance sculptures and paintings of goddesses. Quite a few have rounder faces and not-skinny bodies and trust me, it makes you 10x more confident when you see you share features with the goddess of beauty.
I understand how comparing prizes between USA and Mexico could lead you to make assumptions, but there is certified doctors in Mexico too... It says more about the state and cost of healthcare in America then any actual reality about Mexico
I used to hate myself for having chubby cheeks but I realized that it's only in social media that they're hated on. Real life is a completely different dimension than online, please don't think that what you see on insta and tiktok is what everyone is doing because it's not. 😵💫
I relate to this comment so much.
I neither have super round nor defined cheeks but a friend of mine would always come up and pinch them saying it's cute.
That is so true
Dude your beautiful just the way you are. So many models/ actress have what you have
social media make everyone insecure. Even Elon Musk deletes comments of his haters bc he's insecure here. 😬
Also it's better to have a 'baby face' when getting older. Round/full faces look younger. I have a very slim face with high cheek bones and people thought I was 25 when I was 16. When I lost weight and it got even more bony everyone told me I looked sick. Can't comprehend how this even is a trend.
As an artist who was taught to sit outside and draw people on the street, I started appreaciating how different people are. To this day I LOVE when people have a slightly longer nose, a baby face, ANYTHING that makes them look unique! As an artist, you learn that EVERYONE looks beautiful, you want to draw everyone, who has a personality in their face structure. These trends are making people look boring.
So please love yourself, love your small butt, your baby face, dress how you want to and not what the trends tell you to. Dont lose your magic.
i also started to have the same thoughts! People dont believe me when i say that everyone is beautiful. Imperfections are what makes a persone whole❤
Same! I can make people somewhat uncomfortable, I’m sure, because I stare too much lol. But my favorite compliment to give (and I’m not big on compliments) is when I think someone has a “drawable” face. I don’t like the generic, made-on-a-surgeon’s-table face.
So true!
So true as an artist I love looking at faces Different planes of face in ratio to how our eyebrows are far away from each other etc, I was telling my co worker even with people with similar faces to uss still theres a slight difference. Certain eyebrow shapes look good on some faces. Which is why when a person gets surgery, they feel the need to get more because they took an equation away from there face now they have to constantly fix the rest to catch up with the equation
as someone who has been drawing for the last 15 years, I agree so much. I appreciate every face, bc everyone is unique and different!
The only face trend worth investing in is skincare 💜
I agree! 🕺✨
and thats a whole other can of worms
And that my friends, is called the influence of beauty consumerism. An eye cream will not make you look like Bella hadid, I’m sorry, it’s true.
@@ilovejessepinkman99 Right. But taking care of your skin is important.
Yes! Only trend I can truly get behind is people religiously using sunscreen.
"All that pain, complication and money? for a brief moment of looking conventionally beautiful...before falling out of trend again." Wow. perfectly said. I haven't had the removal but I feel like this concept could apply to so much. I wish we could all learn to love ourselves more.
Ever since these trends started, I've come to appreciate my appearance more than hate. Yes, I still get insecure sometimes, but I rather look like myself than like everybody else
Based.
And then you will be the one who stands out because if everyone else starts looking the same, then they become part of the mundane and dime-a-dozen. The more common something becomes, the more it loses its eye-catching power and unique charm that made it so mesmerizing in the first place.
Like for example, let's say tattoos became more popular than ever and 85% of society was now heavily, visibly tattooed. How eye-catching would it be to see people without a single one?
I also think that's the gist of why Natalie Dormer is so striking to me. In a world of puffy bubble lips, her very thin ones look so delightfully impish and mischievous, they are so beautiful on her!
Tia g u go irl!
@@LadyDecember I didn’t think of it that way, but it’s true. Natalie is a great example. She, and others who keep their natural beauty, stick out in the sea of same face people…
Okay, I'm going to say this. I'm not Mexican, I'm Colombian (a place which plastic surgery is pretty normalized having ads for plastic surgeons in visible places), but it felt a bit out of place saying "a real certified surgeon", because it sounded like you were trying to say that in Mexico there are not actual surgeons. Just saying, loved the video
She thinks people who live in Latino America are dumb or undeveloped in some way, like many Americans do
@@camiladenisenaveda7847 disappointed but not surprised
Because in the US you MUST be American Board Certified so yes, it makes sense why she said that.
@@catmenot7143 And? In Mexico there are medical boards and we can investigate the doctors licenses, not only the USA has that. She just showed a racist side.
@@montse3139 I believe is more xenophobic tan racist because is talking about a country (or continent if she thinks every country in Latin America is like this) rather than a race
Zoe, I love your videos and you are right, such delicate procedure shouldn’t be treated like a casual thing, but the way you said that comment about Mexico makes it sounds like cheaper = ilegal.
600 dollars for us is a lot of money, sometimes that’s even a full month wage, and that doesn’t mean that we have no preparation about plastic surgery, its just cheaper for people from the US because of the exchange rate.
why was she so unnecessarily prejudiced against mexican surgeons 😭
I'm from Mexico, we have certified plastic surgeons, BUT a lot of other professionals (or not) are doing buccal fat removal because it's ambulatory, and it's very dangerous. Also even if your doctor speaks English, I don't recommend going to other country to do plastic surgery, language is a communication barrier.
I think people say "don't get plastic surgery in a foreign country" for the wrong reason, every country has certified plastic surgeons and paying less isn't the problem too (cause dollar is expensive, at least here in Brazil), it's really what you said, paying for a doctor who can't be trusted and having trouble communicating with them is the danger in this situations.
Most doctors study English to the point where they speak like natives because a lot of the texts they read to study is in English. So language barrier may not be an issue. If anything the problem would be transportation. If something goes wrong, how do you back to the place they intervened you at if you’re miles away
Im glad you put this comment, i felt zoey didn’t frame this part properly. For sure lots of qualified medical professionals in Mexico so it’s not inherently bad to go there or another country. Rather having it done safely and right abroad requires more research and diligence for the reasons ppl have stated above.
@@LILLYBRONX Very true. The last time I visited my extended family in Lebanon some of them tried to convince me to get cosmetic procedures done while I was there because it's so much cheaper than in the US, but I decided against it. It's not that I don't think the doctors are competent or that they wouldn't be able to communicate properly, but I just didn't want to be on the other side of the world and unable to follow up with the same doctor if something went wrong weeks or months later.
I suppose it's a bit less scary if you live in SoCal and you're only driving a few hours to Tijuana for a procedure, but I still wouldn't do it.
Honestly, the only part i disagree with, and in fact i'm kinda pissed this keeps happening is how she portrays "mexicans surgeons" not having the credentials or being unqualified, compared to an American specialist in the field, it's pretty disrespectful because reduces our culture to "the cheap labor alternative" instead of contextualizing why it is cheaper to get surgical procedures in here, which is just based on the cost of living, accessible college education and adapting to the mexican salary/wage compared to The US, that's just plain ignorant. Although, yeah, as in any country, sketchy places would get you the cheapest procedures, but $600usd is still around the average price for bucal fat removal in here, it has nothing to do with the credentials of the place.
Exactly 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I agree with you, that part wasn’t well articulated
I agree with you, well said!
Completely agreed 👏🏼👏🏼
Americans are shallow and ignorant. What else did you expect? This is exactly why people judge Americans, as they judge everyone else that is not American. Even in America they judge others as they think they are better, more educated, more superior. …While also pretending like they are not racist. Lol, at least the Germans openly admitted that they thought they are superior. It is better to know what and who you are dealing with, than a covert racist
Do you know if the surgoen in mexico was actually illegitimate? Im mexican and Heath care and sugeries are a fraction of the price here, it dosnt mean its worse or illegitimate.
We have certified doctors in Mexico. LOL
As someone who has just turned 30, I can testify that if you have low-to-medium body fat percentage your face will slim down drastically in your late 20s. My cute cheeks have now slimmed down to a natural Bella Hadid. I like my face the most now, but people still think I’m in my early twenties or younger. Looking gaunt before your time is not it sis.
Yes! I'm 29 and my face has slimmed beautifully as well. These poor girls definitely aren't going into this fully educated on aging after this procedure imo
Now I'm a little nervous about aging cause my natural face is already slim. I know I shouldn't, it's natural and all but can't help feeling nervous.
This is a dream to hear. I’ve had a chubby face my whole life and tried all I could to get skinny enough to lose it, and never saw a difference. Hoping it’ll change once I’m older.
@@legendofzelda9671 ime a good skincare routine started as early as possible is a lifesaver! It'll prevent sagging and loss of volume when you hit 25+ and your body slows down on producing collagen, and keep your skin healthy in the meantime.
Also sun damage is the WORST thing you can do to your skin, wear sunscreen omg. Spf 50 is ideal.

It’s been a 4 days since I got my buccal fat removed and honest to god if I could go back a few days ago and smack myself right through the face, knocking myself out and stop the procedure, I would. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’m in horrible pain. I feel shock waves through my body, sudden chills, insomnia, and I could literally bite my stitches off. Good god, I’m never getting any procedures ever again.
How do you feel now?
i love how much research you do on these topics before talking about them and when you do talk about them, you bring in your own personal experience to discuss its dangers to everyone online. thank you for making these videos ❤
the beauty and cosmetic surgery industries are always finding new and inventive ways to convince us to hate ourselves 😕 to anyone reading this: you are good enough and beautiful just as you are ♥️
Notable: most plastic surgeons are Male and most of their patients are female 🤔
I hate saying this out loud because it might be called preachy, but I always think the real question is, “do you know who you are and like yourself as a person”? Maybe it’s not your face that you don’t like, but something deeper. It was a question I faced in therapy and I hope this delicate topic can one day be a trending topic (dealt with kindness and empathy).

You're absolutely right. The features that I hate on myself are the ones that were pointed out to me by others

Nice video but girl, please don't just assume all the stereotypes you learn of Mexico are true, it's not fair for the great majority of people who are just as qualified as those in the US, I do believe the prices could be cheaper here bc overall the medical system isnt as pricey as the us, but if they went to a sketchy place that was their desicion, and remember sketchy buisness practices literally happen anywhere.

The irony is that the people that are getting their buccal fat removed are gonna have to end up getting fillers or fat transfers to their cheeks (which can cause facial blood clots that can lead to facial necrosis) when they get older in order to prevent themselves from looking hella aged.
7:53 You phrased it perfectly here. It really draws in the understanding of just how risky such a thing is and for what? For something so shallow in exchange for risking something so deep and meaningful, looks for a life.
The fact that I wasn't even thinking about my round cheeks at all, like with most beauty trends to be honest, and it still annoys me when the beauty standards shift and makes me "undesirable" in any way 😥 I feel so so so sad for people, who are insecure about something becomes the next generally "unwanted" feature! Can we just exist? 😅😅😅
My main thing about this trend is that it’s pretty much impossible to return to your original face after buccal fat removal. Fillers can be dissolved, implants removed etc but since the trend for women’s bodies will inevitably change then a lot of people will just be stuck with their fat removed when full faces come back in
Talking i pants out is not easy, they get screwed to your face and made in a way that is easier shipping them in but taking them out is not as easy plus lose skin
Not everything done in Mexico is badly done. Just letting you know. There’s people with higher studies such as Drs, nurses and more. Very ignorant mindset to have.
exactly, Turkey is also one of the countries with great professional drs but its cheaper for the same exact reason
No but people who tend to go abroad look for price before looking into quality, or they'd do it at home, and some ill intended people profit from plasitic surgery tourism. Like I had seen documentaries in SK where you meet Dr A thinking they'd do surgery but there are actually Dr B, C, D who will do the surgery witjout you knowing. We also have horror stories in Europe from people who go to let's say Turkey where they can't even communicate with the medical team and have to trust blindly, without seeing the red flag. The problem isn't the country, and their quality of education, it is the trend/big demand and people who surf on it.
Exactly. It just has to do with the economy. For example the USD is very powerful in Mexico so a procedure is going to be way cheaper for an American there than America. That doesn’t mean the doctors are of lesser quality. That was a cringey statement. Literally the “horror stories” are just as common in the US as in Mexico. In fact I’d assume there are more back ally and unlicensed plastics clinics here in the US than over there due to how expensive our healthcare is.
This is fascinating
I’m sure she didn’t mean it in a rude way at all!
“So move with the trend, or be your own trend.” LOVE IT!
Iconic phrase💛
THANK YOU ZOE for showing us the way, for BEING your own trend, for putting so much work into inspiring us to like ourselves (also can we talk about the editing ? Flawless) . Anyway you are my spiritual guide, ily you are doing great
What we really want isn't a better figure, a better nose, or higher cheekbones. What we really want is confidence. We should accept all of our "flaws" and say "this is what makes me unique, and I'm gonna rock it!"
Unfortunately, sometimes it's a bit of both, when you have slight complications in your face that need fixing for a better experience, but is only seen as a "cosmetic issue", it does feel a bit defeating. I have a slightly crossed 110% overbite that causes my airflow to be restricted while I eat, and combined with a deviated septum, but to my parents and to my newly bought insurance, it's a cosmetic fix and not a necessity. If I choke on popcorn, it's over 😭
Side note: Omg I love your user!!
@@captaincaspian42 oh of course! There are several cases where surgery can improve someone's quality of life, and I don't mean to ignore those people. There are folks who were in accidents or have an abnormality that they were born with, and several other scenarios who would benefit from surgery. I think that it's wonderful that it's an option and can be a success. I think that all of us could benefit from soul searching when we put ourselves down, though. We must learn to stand up for ourselves even when it's against our own negative internal dialogue.
I realized as you age you become more mature and accepte your natural looks. I was always insecure but now that In 25 I kinda feel fine with how I look.

About Mexico, look, here we have certified plastic surgeons, you can even find them in the CMCPER directory, not only does Tijuana have, many states of the Mexican Republic, if many Americans come to Mexico to have surgery it is because they cannot pay in their own country the thousands of dollars, and what happens?, many of them have Mexico in the concept of a Cheap country in every way. Even if it’s in Beverly hills, it can also have long-term consequences, it does not mean that because you do it in Mexico, the operation will go wrong here, because people think that everything here is poorly done. From someone who lives here, I tell you, Mexico is not as many paint it, not everything here is bad.
Thanks for covering this crazy ass topic!
That intro . This is the exact energy
I've had this surgery recommended before because my cheeks are chubby enough that I bite them and have scars inside my cheeks from it. However, looking up the risks, I am so against it for me. Plus, I've come to like how my face looks when I smile.
But the person who recommended it was neither my dentist nor orthodontist. It was some random nurse while I was waiting to get my braces adjusted. I was 13. To me, that's more unacceptable. I was a child, and she just looked at my cheeks and went, "You should get those removed." Biiiiiich, I like looking young, and I'm going to enjoy looking younger than my age well into my 50's, just like my mother.
I think it is funny, one of my friends saw pictures of my face when I was 17 without seeing the body. I was the same height but have since gained 10% of my weight easily. He thought I lost weight :') Nope, just a very full face on a superskinny teen.
i'm just gonna tell you, the scars inside the cheeks from the braces have very little to do with cheek fat, and a lot to do with braces x) i mean, i had a very long, rectangular face as a child, quite little buccal fat and i have scars, a lot. everyone that has braces has this problem, with differing degrees of severity, but still.
@@em-jd4do How can you tell if you have scarring? Because I have braces as well but it has never really occurred to me that they could scar my mouth.
@@amugglebornartist mine feel like bumps when I run my tongue over the inside of my cheeks
How can someone say that to a child? I’m so disgusted. There is nothing wrong about having chubby cheeks. Especially as a child.
As a female with a natural slim figure, hip dips and sharp features, people find me intimidating and mysterious at first glance. I gained a little weight last year (thankfully) and realized that I had some fat accumulated in my cheeks and thighs. Those cheek fat/buccal fat literally saved my reputation. People found me approachable now and to some extent friendly at first glance. I was glowing with youthfulness thanks to those fat. I'll rather keep this new buccal fat than have Gothem-like sunken cheeks.
i have kind of the same „problem“ with being pretty skinny and having an intimidating outlook bc i was always skinny but lost a few pounds due to depression and life circumstances and now i have the same measurements as bella hadid (am a model aswell that’s why i know) and now i dont get approached by anyone or i get the „i thought you‘re a bi’tch“ but guess it‘s the beauty standard so i should be happy lol i actully also loved my chubbier cheeks more, made me look younger
Jeez dude good for you on getting buccal fat and becoming happier but there’s no need to bring down features like that. I have these features naturally and hate it when people associate it with being scary and unapproachable. There’s already a burden of beauty standards of looking younger and youthful.
Me too my body is slim, but the only difference it’s my chubby cheeks.
That’s great man wishing you all the best!
girl same
If you're insecure about cheeks look up gibson girls or Lily Elsie. You don't have to conform to trends to be beautiful/attractive. As Zoe says trends constantly change through time and cultures.
I'm so glad you made this video. I've always sworn to myself I would never do surgery unless necessary for health reasons, but the last few months I've questioned that decision when feeling like my face if ugly and fat. Thankfully you've brought me to my senses before I did something I'd regret.
It’s honestly sad that beauty influencers would uses their platform to make their young adolescent follows feel like they need to do the same or they’re not beautiful. It’s insane. I have chubby cheeks and I know I’m beautiful so please if you’re reading this and considering it know you are beautiful just the way you are ❤🙏🏽
In these kind of moments I feel SO relieved not to have TikTok 😂
same literally
Tiktok is boring and time consuming. Good for you
I've always been slim and had a very round face. Im still young (26) but I can already see how the subtle loss of my facial fat over the years have made me look older. I am clinging to these cheeks for my life ill tell you!!

Please don't be insecure about your cheeks. it makes you look super healthy and glowy.
Please investigate more about the country u r talking about before saying something offensive.
I just to think that u investigate a lot about what are u talking about, and u r so intelligent.
But what u say of Mexico hurt (as a Mexican of the CDMX [city of mexico, if u don't know]) bc it's so ignorant.
Google is free, it's 2023, u can see that we have good doctors, good universitys (the UNAM, the best of latam), we have citys, laws.
We don't live in the desert with burros, actually we have every ecosystem, i think 7 different ecosystems.
Idk, it's just ignorant, think that cheaper means low quality, when actually we have ANOTHER ECONOMY.
As a Mexican that comment that u say hurts.
@zoeunlimited.. You should correct your prejudiced xenophobic comment were you're badly generalizing about Mexico's medicine quality, it's ignorant and disrespectful, also it's totally out of context, people from the USA go to Mexico because it's cheaper but that's NOT because it's "low/worse quality": it's because Mexico's own currency is BELOW the USA currency. Same with the rest of Latin America. The lower price doesn't mean it's "bad quality" compared to the USA, it's just a DIFFERENT ECONOMY VALUE of currency that makes the difference in the prices. It's good quality.
aren’t you going to address your ignorant xenophobic comments..?
@@ceressdemeter I don’t think she would apologize or mention what she said 😑 about Mexico
It's like we're all mindless sheep running wherever media tells us to go. So many of us have lost our sense of self because we're following the same trends, trying to look the same, wearing the same clothing. We're becoming carbon copies of each other when we were meant to be unique individuals, both in personality and appearance.
I’m glad someone else finally said it. This is so so sad, and so true.
Were you under the impression that there are no board certified plastic surgeons in Mexico? Some people come to Mexico to get plastic surgery because it’s cheaper. The same way some people also travel all the way to Turkey or South Korea.
gurl you look so pretty regardless.
Great video, love how you talk and present your videos so far. Also great topics
Let’s just start to appreciate when people has a beautiful face. Without trying to copy the look that they have. We cannot live being copy cats of celebrities, we have to stop putting celebrities in such pedestals, it hurts them and it hurts us.
The new in is to love your face, and appreciate beauty as it comes 💕✨
Buccal fat removal has been quite popular in my country (Brazil) for the past decade (it honestly surprises me a bit that only now it's becoming a trend abroad), and nowadays a lot of people regret doing it, there are even online communities such as "buccal fat removal victims", where people share the problems they had after their surgeries :/
Can you link me the online community? Thx
Exactly, this was a trend around 10 years ago in Btazil, and a massive ammount of people, to not say them all, are deeply regrearing doing... So, go natural, always you Win.

“So move with the trend, or be your own trend.” Yessss!!
the jaw shaving is something i always thought i wanted to do when i became old enough, but you're right. my face isn't a trend
Girls don’t be afraid to look different. I was always told different is unique and people will always remember UNIQUE! Today everyone tries to have the same face and everyone looks the same which makes it easier for you to stand out from the rest ! OWN IT ! Be confident about yourself and you’ll get so many compliments without the need for any surgeries ! When I was younger I was told how different I look from others and how I stand out. I never liked it because I lacked confidence, was shy! Always wanted to blend in until I was told that “ YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT, you’ll never blend in so own it “
These videos are amazing and so honest and raw it’s truly amazing
Feeling the intro screaming to the core
my mum had “chubby cheeks / fat face” while being very slim and at 56 she looks 20 years younger - often mistaken as such & i’m convinced it’s because of her having facial fat left
My mum as well, it does make a face younger.
On point, that's the reason why in East Asia there's no trend like this. They like young, youthful look more than a more mature confident one.
I mean, we just went back to a couple years ago, when Kimm Kardashian made it popular to contour the face for that hollow high cheekbone look, let's be real
with added technological progress, meaning new and cheaper surgeries
Finally a trend I am naturally trending in.. I always hated this feature of mine, felt like I looked too masculine and not soft enough... lol this world is psycho and crazy... LOVE your face the way it iiiiiis WE ARE ALL SO BEAUTIFUL AND DIVERSE!
The ending was so cool I subscribed
Am I the only one who thinks that the people before they did their surgery looked way better with their natural "fat" cheeks??? 😭😭😭 Like it looked cute 💔😔
idk for me they looked way better when they didn’t have fat cheeks but maybe it’s because that is just my type with or without the existence of beauty standards
As someone with natural gaunt cheeks people felt free to tell me this stuff before and now feel completely empowered because they make assumptions. Please stop criticizing other people's faces
@@sarahb8073 I never criticized anyone's face, in the end its none of my business what someone does to their face. Its their life not mines. I'm just sharing my opinion! And if you have natural gaunt cheeks that's amazing as well! I never criticized having gaunt cheeks. I'm just saying I believe what their cheeks looked like before they did the surgery suit them way better then after they did it. Because in the end your natural body suits you the best! ✨
@@mochiwashere "I'm just saying I believe what their cheeks looked like before they did the surgery suit them way better then after they did it" How is this not the literal definition of criticizing someone's face?
"It just my opinion" has turned into the new "it's just a prank" after someone punches someone else. Criticisms are based on your opinions that you felt the need to express to the world
@@mochiwashere don't you think it's a little unnecessary at this point to mention about how they were cuter to you before they changed? I mean they already changed their face :)
Love your insight on this. Thank you for making these amazing videos!
"So move with the trend - or be your own trend." Love it.
Thank you so much for making a video on this!I don't think it's a topic many creators choose to cover but it is definitely very important! Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
I'm still on that kpop aegyo plump face being peak beauty for me 😭
This channel is so wholesome and comforting to watch🥰
@Anjali just to clarify I meant the channel in general :) not the video itself😅
you have a really cute face!!!! you're very pretty, and even if you were not, you don't have to risk your life to achieve the "beauty standars". Love your videos Zoe!!
all I can think about is my mom who, at 53, looks in the mirror wishing that she could have the full cheeks of her 20s... these young women don't think to the future when they'll look hollow!!
Funny how I've been insecure about my big cheeks during my whole 18 years of life only to start liking them more once the opposite look started trending.
At first of course it was a "well, f!CK" moment, but watching many videos on the topic (pro, against and neutral) kind of made me realize that I rather have a consistent part of me around throughout my years (even if that makes me look "not as thin" and more baby-ish) than changing myself only to still feel insecure afterwards. If God gave me fatass cheeks, then with fatass cheeks I shall live.
Btw, if you have slimmer or a more structured face your face still is gorgeous
In 5 seconds chubby faces will be glorified as more youthful and they will be running to the surgeons to get their faces filled up again 😂 the beauty industry is something else.
This really does prove to me that the idea of beauty is never universal. I’ve always had a strong preference for round faces and chubby cheeks, in both men and women. Those of y’all with lots of face fat should not feel self conscious about it at all; lots of people think you are the height of attractiveness.
"But those of yall with ugly thin faces however".... We should feel ashamed for our natural "gaunt hollow old" faces? ?
I see you got a bit defensive when watching this video. No biggie it happens to me too. Of course you should not feel ashamed of having a slim face. Slim faces are also beautiful, and clearly tons and tons of people agree, which is why they want to get these procedures to emulate the look. I just happen to be personally attracted to round faces, and I just think it’s very interesting that people can hate something about themselves so much that other people are drawn to.
Hey Zoe! Just wanna say I binged a lot of your videos and love your takes as well as your own journey. Both are motivating and relatable! Keep up the great work.
Zoe, you look beautiful just the way you are and i'm sure everyone here agrees. Amazing content as usual, thank you for your hard work❤
I have a round face and soft cheeks too, but I personally love them! I love your videos, you keep me updated and motivated! :)
I love your videos and how much you put great thoughts in them
This sharp jaw thing kinda reminds me of Jenna Ortega. She’s hella popular, got a sharp jaw, & fits the ideal pretty well. In a way, her genetics unintentionally support this stuff. I’m sure a shit tone of people wanna have a face like hers.
Yepppppp I wish I did
She's gorgeous
Thank you so much for this video! I1ve always hated my round cheeks, in fact that was one of the things that started my ED, believing if I loose enough weight, I loose my cheeks too. Luckily, I am getting better now, but this new trend just hit home questioning everthing (again) about myself
Girl your cheek fat is literally beautiful DONT be insecure about it
I always love hearing your perspective. You really are an icon and I have a big girl crush on you lol
Seeing you posting are one of the best little things of the day that makes me happy
Obsessed with your mini mic
Thank you for adding Devon Aoki, one of my first celebrity crushes when I saw her in DOA, she's gorgeous!
I think losing weight on the face is more noticeable from person to person. When I was at my highest at 134 I noticed I had more fat under my chin but when I started noticed changes when I dropped 15 pounds and now at 110 lbs I notice it A LOT. Don’t want to discourage anyone that getting in shape won’t change your face structure. For me getting healthier and exercising definitely made my face more defined. But i think it varies from person to person. At the end of the day DO NOT FOLLOW HARMFUL PLASTIC SURGERY TRENDS. Your body is yours forever and trends can last months or even weeks.
Just wanna say that you’re gorgeous and extremely inspiring ❤ thank you for a hq content
I’m so sick and tired of the internet constantly trying to tell me wich part of my body is wrong
I'm starting to love myself because of the trends opposite to me. I love my cheeks now because I realize people think I'm younger because of it and I'm young as is. My almond eyes being dark used to make me feel so basic but now looking at someone with dark eyes I always am just astonished that they can be so deep remembering my eyes are like that too. My dark skin looks so good with glitter and when I'm confident enough I'm already looking forward to using glitter. My black hair makes me feel sophisticated. All of these have been deemed some sort of "not in style" or "boring" yet the truth is once you start to think of things that work for YOU you'll actually be better off.

I like the fact that your videos recently are getting longer
I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but Zoe you look so good with this length of your hair.. 🤩
Thank you for all your videos Zoe ! They ended convincing me NOT to follow all those trends. It really leads nowhere because we, women, will never be pretty enough whatsoever. I have a lot of issues accepting myself. Sometimes I can't even look at my reflection in the miror because I judge myself too fat, my skin is not good, I have pimples, my hair is a mess... But I try to remember that I beat cancer 4 years ago, I'm healthy now, I workout and it's all that matter. I have a lovely boyfriend and a great family who love me the way I am, physically and mentaly, so f*ck beauty standards and trends !
This is unrelated but girl can you share your fashion lookbook or something cause I really love your fashion style!
