Thanks for your work and the very detailed list of your HW & SW used, and sharing all of this with the community.
I'm quite satisfied w. V1.4. The differences to V2.0 are minor, but at least a small step ahead. Maybe I'm not really impressed, because of using MSFS since V1.0 and at that time, the improvements from version to version, were really enormous and endeed: impressive! Especially the step from V4.0 to V5.0, when the textures came up.
I think, that a major step ahead would be, to include/connect Google Earth. I dreamed about it, since I saw Google Earth the first time. BTW: It has a very simple FSim included!

Has anyone confirmed the Captain Sim 757 works using the migration tool on P3d v2?

Do you need the regular P3d V1.4 to get P3d V2? Or do you just download & install P3d V2? Thanks and it looks great!

Was the comparison flown in the same season? 1.4 looks to be Fall/Autumn and V2 looks to be....mild winter?

Yes, both were set to autumn, current date. Not sure what causes the dark trees. Might be a shader problem, been experiencing a lot of those in v2.

MegaRocket99 I think everything is darker by design. It's meant to look less cartoon-ish. Though the texture still isn't perfect, the color of the water is a lot closer to realistic and could go even darker yet. From altitude, trees are often dark in appearance, and water sometimes looks almost black. It may not be bright and colorful like a painting, but I think they are moving in the right direction as far as realism goes.

Darker is ok, but this makes the world seem so drab.
At times, it looks, to me, as if the video was shot in B&W.
I live near Boston. and even on a cloudy day, in the fall, the world is brighter. If they want to get away from the cartoonish look, then don't darken the world, make the world look more realistic by having some of the buildings look run down, a bit dirty,, etc. The cartoonish look is because all buildings looks so "new". Look at any real life photo and you'll see the grime, etc on house and buildings.
I love the less pop-ups, but I don't like the darken world and lack of colors on trees.
