Jerry Rice is the GOAT.
Statistically... Not in reality. Right places, at right time, very an excellent route runner, very disciplined, and any QB would be blessed to have him. However, at any given time was he the BEST at what he did? No. Was he 'consistently' the best over his long career vs anyone else's career...Yes, I would say so. Like a LeBron James career. Very good for a very long time, but not the best at any given time
HELL NO!!! Just like Mahomes, Brady and Rodger’s are better than Montana.
TO, Randy Moss AND SPECIALLY Megatron are better than Jerry Rice. PERIOD!
Moss is the GOAT
Moss not even close
@AlessandroZane put Mahomes,Brady and Rodgers in the 80s when you could hit em and see if they last as long as Joe. Mahomes better than Montana?? Youngsters...
Jerry Rice is the reason the term G.O.A.T. even exists. His records for all time TDs and receiving yards are practically unbeatable.
If there's only one person that the G.O.A.T. title can be given to, it's Wayne Gretzky and it's not even close. The term exists for Wayne. They had to separate him into two players for fantasy hockey, Wayne Gretzky goals and Wayne Gretzky assists and they were still picked #1 & #2. I'm an NFL fan who doesn't even watch Hockey.
Prime Randy over prime Jerry any day.
@@BarnettMotionPicture That's the thing, greatest and best are 2 different things. I'll take prime Moss or Megatron over Jerry, but if I'm the GM of a team I'll take Jerry's career.
You guys are talking what ifs.....the truth is....jerry did what those other WRs didn't Do....those are facts!! Jerry is the legit GOAT
T.O. could have possibly come the closest to matching Jerry's numbers if he wasn't black balled out of the league.....in his last season he had 989 yards 72 receptions and 9 tds....he was still balling. We didn't see his skills fade.

When it comes to finance growth, it’s wrong to engage in a single option. I suggest diversifying into various options with high performance coupled with the experience and aid of a finance Pro will generate bigger dividends and balance volatility.

Owens was a beast, made it look like a man playing with boys! Not a fan but he was incredible
Yup!
Well said! TO definitely had more raw talent. Jerry played more years than TO as well
Gotta agree with that bro
As a 49ers I love T.O. but jealousy is obvious
I’m not sure it’s jealousy as much as ego. I think TO thinks hes better than every human that’s ever lived genuinely. He’s a narcissist
HELL NO!!! Just like Mahomes, Brady and Rodger’s are better than Montana.
TO, Randy Moss AND SPECIALLY Megatron are better than Jerry Rice. PERIOD!
@@tres311 Having that kind of ego has some jealousy mixed in.
@@AlessandroZane All caps huh. Angry much? Obviously you're not old enough to have seen any of the old NFL lol the rules were different which makes your argument pointless because these guys are playing with different rules. T.O. went over the middle when they penalized guys for cleaning your clock. Jerry Rice accumulated those numbers in a not so strict pass interference era. I'm sure you won't consider that because you're yelling on the Internet 😭
@@tonygordonjr Ok kid! Hahaha It’s much easier to make records when you’re one of a handle full of teams in history with a shitload of HOFamers and HAFame coach. Perfect system. And All time quarterback. But you must be one of those chicks in your feelings. No wonder they call you “junior”. Hahaha
It's amazing how overlooked John Taylor is still to this day. He was better than most franchise WRs of then and now.
I thought I was the only one who remembered Taylor😮
Agree , he was a nice gentleman too
Watching him catching a touchdown pass from Montana to beat Cincinnati in 1985. It was priceless.
@MrFuadee He's still alive and well. You mean the 89 Super Bowl?
Cool story about John Taylor, after leaving the NFL he bought a big rig truck
You don’t tell people how amazing you are, you let the evidence speak for itself. when you do that, you have a leg to stand on. You’re bringing evidence instead of hypotheticals to the table.
I disagree. It's not the best look bragging all the time but some of the greatest have bragged plenty.
That being said Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver.
Terrell Owen's is top 5 all time for his individual accomplishments.
Jerry Rice has accomplished everything.
@@MARZOSIRUS ok time and place.
@@jadechurch98 Muhammad Ali is the first that comes to mind he always called himself the greatest. Michael Jordan would trash talk his opponents and brag to them as well.
In Boxing and fighting sports bragging occurs a lot. Floyd Mayweather bragged as well.
I must say, their ability to talk for hours without actually saying anything of value is truly impressive. It's like listening to a never-ending seminar on how to master the art of saying nothing at all. Bravo!
TO was once quoted as saying “I love me some me”
I've heard people do that, not sure that's what he's doing, especially the first three minutes, he's just thinking/rambling out loud
The Prima Donna WR stereotype exists for a reason!
When you say "their" what group are you talking about.
@@ryanlynch290Three questions:
1.) How do you define prima donna?
2.) What exactly made the title applicable to Owens??
3.) Does it only apply to WRs, or can be a prima donna at any position???
I grew up with one of his sons (TO) and I have to say he’s a phenomenal character and super supportive of his children growing up the right way. His son was big into the NBA too actually, and I used to ask him why, he’d say because his pops haha
😂 I coulda woulda shoulda been an astronaut too, brother! 😂😂😂 Too bad shit doesn't work that way, lmao
JERRY RICE #80 IS THE GOAT 🐐 ... THE DAMN G. O A. T ... AND DONT YOU FORGET IT
HELL NO!!! Just like Mahomes, Brady and Rodger’s are better than Montana.
TO, Randy Moss AND SPECIALLY Megatron are better than Jerry Rice. PERIOD!
“My genetic makeup..” The same makeup that broke down? Jerry needs his respect.
Why would you expect respect from Owens? Still not humble to this day, still got a chip on his shoulder. No SB like Rice
He didn’t break down his attitude got him tossed out the league
Rice the goat all day
When you’re the best you don’t have to say it, others will say it for you. Reason why you never hear Jerry claiming he’s the greatest. Same goes for MJ
A lot of half truths with T.O., he talks about being a team player but doesn’t want to talk about being a locker room divider everywhere he went, and I clearly remember drop balls being an issue not just at the beginning of his career but especially at the end of his career, with that said he still earned the right to believe he is the goat and is definitely in the conversation
Not even in the conversation....I would choose Steve Smith over T.O. and Smith is a top 10
@itsintheword230 being a smaller guy, I love Steve Smith but stop.
@courtneysmart4283 ...T. O. Would drop long throws and is not consistent
@itsintheword230 you have to choose another word because now you just don't make sense. Dude is 3rd all time in yards and TDs. The best word for that is CONSISTENT.
@@Supremecourt3223 3rd in his time playing 😂
T.O. was soooooo fun to watch every game with all of his teams. Dynamic and insanely talented. Always on fire!!!
Dude was an egotistical and unprofessional child.
@@ActualDrunkAtheistfacts
@@ActualDrunkAtheist you’re both correct.
@@Kevin-ts7hf I don't see how watching some unprofessional child is fun but hey. Dude was talented but the NFL fell from grace in the mid 2000s because of just how unprofessional these overpaid babies are.
@@ActualDrunkAtheist I can separate someone’s talents from their behavior, but I can understand why some can’t. The guy was pure entertainment on Sundays, and I tried my best to avoid media coverage of him every other day of the week. I bet we’d agree that he would’ve ended up as the best receiver ever if he had his head screwed on straight.
Give me Jerry Rice and Calvin Johnson. You can have any other wide receiver tandem you want.
He is one of the greats. Jerry is one on the greats. Rings matter. Stats matter.
Rings don’t matter when comparing two PLAYERS because rings is a TEAM stat
@@Jiggy609stats do and Jerry basically owns every since receiving record. Case and point.
Jerry is a Super Bowl MVP. He also made the Probowl at 40yrs old. Case closed
@@RickyBeePhenomenal We make a good team Ricky lol
@@Jiggy609he helped no team get a ring, that's telling. The guy was and still is a diva with a chip on his shoulder
Terrell Owens is HIGH👍😎
Man, if Randy had Jerry’s discipline or TO’s work ethic he could’ve blown everyone out of the water, he was an absolute FREAK!
& that's what sets Jerry Rice apart from everyone else. Running hills in the off season, crispy route runner, amazing hands, & he wasn't the biggest or the fastest, he was just the greatest!
@@TheCaliRhino Facts.
"Just because I didnt win a championship doesn't mean I'm not champion."
Put it on a poster baby
Watching Philly last year remind me of that of 04 year
Jerry Rice is the GOAT. I actually also liked TO as a player, very talented. His issue has always been the personality, very large ego, and you can see glimpses of it during the interview. He's trying to keep it in check. This is what rubbed people the wrong way about him.
Yep. His ego kept him from being a real legend like Jerry for sure
HELL NO!!! Just like Mahomes, Brady and Rodger’s are better than Montana.
TO, Randy Moss AND SPECIALLY Megatron are better than Jerry Rice. PERIOD!
@@AlessandroZanelol
Ill never forget in 2004, when T.O. played injured against the Patriots, he was still dominant
All the while all the Patriots especially Rodney Harrison was trying to injure him.
Its all said and done. Its not what could have been it is what it was. Do try to pull jerry down for what you want.
And TO was doing this when the NFL wasn’t soft… Respect this legend 🔥💯
Yeah because Jerry played when the league was super soft and TO played when it was super hard🤔
Jerry played in the 80s when guys were head hunting and ending careers.
When someone doesn’t have the physical ability perfect example is Larry Bird and Joker two players that aren’t physically gifted yes they are tall but their skill is literally maybe the best ever in the sport so if you took say Lebron James and he was 6’4 or under good chance he wouldn’t be in the NBA now if you made Bird or Joker 6’4 they would still make the NBA because of hustle and skill. T.O. could of been a much better player if he wasn’t so damn needy or bipolar but to be honest that’s how most black receivers are everything is about them and are always being disrespected some how but in reality that’s just basic bitch shit for them. Sorry TO yeah you look great with your shirt off but you had your time to prove it and if you weren’t always being a bitch about something maybe things would of went differently in your career maybe the Patriots would of picked you up or Giants or Steelers or Colts etc.
TO was clearly the most talented receiver. Jerry is the goat off his accolades, not just off his talent.
Randy Moss was the most gifted wide receiver
@@Dennisaj Megatron. but to each there own. TO was the most complete package. Size Strength and speed.
I'm not going to watch this whole video... but I need to speak up on the best WR convo... Steve Largent played in the same era as Rice, played with much worse QBs, played in a run first system on a bad team, vs a throw first all time great team, and it took Rice multiple years more of playing to beat Largents numbers, Steve Largent should be in the discussion for best right along side Rice, but he is forgotten because he played for bad teams in Seattle... Largent is the real goat in my book. Look him up if you dont know about him!!!
Largent could've had 20000 yards with Montana/Young throwing to him.
Absolutely!!!
I remember the crazy Phila. Eagles Days. Lots of drama. Entertaining! Love TO.
Remember he was doing sit-ups in his driveway in front of press? T.O.? More like Jay-O. (Im an eagles fan)
When I sent the headline I thought “here we go Terrell goanna say something crazy”. He actually made a pretty good argument though.
I remember when TO joined the Seahawks, don't have much knowledge on football but I remember asking "who's the guy that looks like a bobblehead?" Didn't realize that his head would slowly gain even more mass this many years later.
I agree with, TO! I enjoyed both wide receivers. Jerry Rice, was the epitome of finesse! Terrell Owens, was very physical; giving and taking physical interaction.
Take your shades off while making the argument! & remember to check your blood pressure!
TO was an absolute savage on the field… Legend 🔥👀
Definitely was a beast and one of the best. His attitude (not all the time) and antics prevent him from being the GOAT.
Spot on 👍
Jerry Rice wasthe greatest of all time, period. Terrell Owens was very, VERY good, but come on man, you can't have all the drops that T.O. had & be the GOAT!!
Baby 🐐 fasho 🙌🏾 imo
T.O was an absolute stud! And everyone should think the way he thinks... wit that said HE CRAZY AF! 🤣 🤣
1. Jerry Rice
2. Randy Moss
3. Calvin Johnson
4:01 this why i love TO !!!
Didn't Jerry say he used stick em glue?
“Look at me…look at me!”
Very interesting that T.O. says "if I only had a few more years at the end of my career, I would be closer to Jerry's records." There were no more teams willing to tolerate his antics after Buffalo and Cincinnati. Jerry Rice was never a problem in the locker room so even when S.F. thought he was done, he went to Oakland and had three more very productive years. T.O. is delusional and self absorbed earning his nickname: Team Obliterator.
Go 🦅
Rice in his 40s is better than 95% of the receivers today
Is his sexy Nicollette Sheridan commercial discussed in the full interview?
Still can't get out of his own way even to this day!
Statistics and championships count !
Stay humble there T.O. The man was an absolute beast, it just bugs me that he's so eager to let you know that. Let others tout you, you don't tout yourself or it takes away from how others perceive you. In other words, it's counter-productive. He was damn good though, no disputes there, a monster.
Owen's was good, but not better than Rice, Moss or Harrison
@@ChrisP-in8qr Harrison was a great one, for sure. I also put Calvin Johnson up there as well, because he still put up his monstrous numbers, despite not having a noteworthy QB throwing to him. If you can put up 1,800-yard seasons catching balls from Joey Harrington and the like, that makes you a great WR.
@@lonewolfsurvival3453 Harrington and Johnson never played together. Maybe your thinking of Kitna.
@@ChrisP-in8qr , see that's my point, couldn't even remember who his QB's were, off the top of my head. I was thinking Shane Mathews maybe, but he's had a few QB's throwing to him, Kitna being one of them. CJ was still a HOF WR though and put up some prolific numbers, despite never having a Montana, Brady, Steve Young or Peyton throwing him the ball, like the other WR's had.
@@lonewolfsurvival3453 100% agreed, but I do think QB's matter somewhat, for instance Romo would have put the ball into CJ's hands more than Kitna which would have resulted in more TD's wins ect.
its a shame he wasnt 1st ballot HOF. That said Rice is the Goat and Randy was the most talented.
Jerry Rice got drafted to the 49ers, who had a Hall of Fame Super Bowl winning coach in Bill Walsh. A Hall of Fame in Super Bowl winning quarterback in Joe Montana. And the Niners already were a Super Bowl team before Jerry Rice got there so Jerry Rice was in the perfect situation
Owen's had Young, McNabb, Romo I don't want to hear that crap. Owen's was drafted on a team a couple year removed from a SB.
@@ChrisP-in8qr yea but none of those guys are joe. The niners weren’t as good when owens came in
@austinlink68 the 49ers were 11-5 the year before Owens got there. Stop.
@@ChrisP-in8qr none of those quarterbacks are on Joe Montana's level
@@afrolore7462 young wasn't? Lol ok
Besides an old Steve Young, TO played with mediocre QBs during his career & still put up those stats
Tony Romo and Donovan Mcnabb were above avg QBs and Carson Palmer dude stop
The boys have T.O. hahahaha. Sweeeet
TO loves him some TO!
This was difficult to watch. Cmon Terrell!
That’s my quarterback man 😢
Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda, but didn't....
Facts TO
HE GOT TERREL OWENS ON THE POD OH MY GOODNESS PAT IS GOATED
TO, and Moss- both all-time greats. But Rice is the goat. The biggest difference (apart from the stats) is that TO and Moss were head cases. Rice wasn't. Perhaps that's why Rice has those rings while Moss and TO don't. Wide Outs are often primadonnas, Rice wasn't.
And Rice was not traded in his prime....T.O. and Moss were. That says a lot
Woulda, coulda, shoulda. All 'if's and buts'.
The Garrison Hearst 96 yard run...
I remember when TO was a cowboy, it was hype because of his reputation. Honestly, I remember watching TO drop some of the most wide open passes to him, but at the same time, would make some of the crazy impossible catches. You never know what you would get lol
Consistency is what made Jerry the GOAT.
Lies.....consistency is what you got with TO...he had over 1000 yards and over 10 tds every year with dallas....what are you talking about??? Your just highlighting a bad play here and there. That's not who he was.
@@pound4p consistency is right. I watched him play on the cowboys for 3 seasons and every game he dropped at least one wide open pass. He made great catches too, but he definitely got the blood pressure going sometimes.
He led the league in drops a few times
Jerry Rice is the 🐐 WR. There's no argument here.
Jerry > moss > megatron > Chris carter > Michael Irving > ochocinco > T.O.
I got a acronym for TO....INMF...It's Never My Fault
Would-of, should-of, could-of is not an excuse. He didn’t last as long as Jerry because of his own doing, and this “talk” seems to be a cover for, perhaps, the regret he feels.
8:41 back in 04 when I used to ball I use to call this dude BFN Big for nothing 😂 cause I use to 💩 on him (pause)
If you set the bar (Jerry), and nobody has matched or exceeded the barometer, hen you cannot call yourself greater. Remember, Rice played in an era where running the ball 40x a game was the norm. Sure, the 49rs may have been more pass oriented, but they hardly if ever led the league in passing. J. Rice was dominating.
Absolutely 💯
I remember u playing in the Superbowl then i remember u throwing a fit like a baby in ur driveway
Rice had the privilege of playing with two HOF QB's for nearly his entire career. Give TO the same consistency then he might have an argument. But you could also say that of some other guys too, Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson, etc.
This clown played with nothing but pro bowl qbs you act like he had Tim couch 😊
Jerry was putting up Stats at age 40 with Rich Gannon at QB. In 1995 Young missed 5 games and Jerry put up 1800+ yards
@@nate9798Snapple top facts
I don't remember this guy at all. Who is he again?
Let's ask Rice
“Better than Moss”? Somebody should wash Terrell mouth with soap. 😂
TO was awesome. Really carried the torch for the Goat. AB would threaten records also but come on you gotta play 20 years lol
I am a TO fan but he is full of it. He talks about Randy not being a team player when i saw "numerous" games the Cowboys won and he was noticeably upset because he didnt have a good game statiscally.
WHY ISNT THIS INTERVIEW UNDER LIVE LIKE ALL THE REST ARE. ITS LIKE YOUR PADDING HIS NUMBERS DOWN FOR SOME REASON
Jerry came into the league immediately mature and professional. Terrell was always joking around and wasn’t a leader. Jerry took it far more seriously and never screwed around.
Rice, Moss, AB, TO would be my goat receiver overall mount rushmore
Randy, shit on these fellas again
Jerry Jones and Buffalo did him dirty at the end of his career.
Too many people saying "Moss is greatest" never saw football before 1995 😂
Going off T.O. logic … Megatron Calvin Johnson is greatest WR all time going only off “PHYSICAL” genetics.
Two things.
1. Sports at pro level 90% mental.
2. Best ability “Availability”
T.O. one of the great WRs of his era. Greatest? Sure doing sit-ups in driveway shirtless can’t be touched GOAT!
That interview is absolutely gold! 😂
TO is Def top 5 WR.
I like T.O on the Eagles
He couldn’t hold Jerry’s jockstrap…
If I were picking between the 2 I would take TO. Much more natural talent bigger stronger faster, now TO had mental issues that hurt teams, remember though Jerry was getting thrown to by Joe Montana. I still think TO could help an NFL team somewhere right now.
Give me Jerry rice team chemistry is everything
Would’ve been could’ve been should’ve been
Imagine if Montana played with Owens.
Rice
Moss ( his name became a verb)
TO
This guy knows when the camera is on. Can’t take away his level but he is no Jerry Rice… both as a player or a teammate (locker room).
People are just too full of themselves, these days
9:29 Shawn (The Matrix) Marion? 😂 Shawne Merriman buddy...
Jerry Rice is the obvious GOAT. Where I get hung up on is how to rank T.O., Moss and Calvin Johnson behind him. Oh Yea, CJ is definitely up there with the other three, for sure.
Jerry and Moss are top 5! This boy out his mind 😂
Rice is the goat. But Owens and Moss were physical specimens
Not sure if I've ever seen better combination receiver. BIG , FAST ,& ABSORBED THE BALL.! If Terrall played with Marino then Brady who knows.
I would have been better than both if I was given the opportunity to play in the NFL
If Jerry Rice had the same body as Terrell Owens, he would've been even better, -BUT if Terrell Owens had the body of Jerry Rice...nobody would even know who Terrell Owens is lol
TO wasn’t better than Marvin Harrison
