      Statistically... Not in reality. Right places, at right time, very an excellent route runner, very disciplined, and any QB would be blessed to have him. However, at any given time was he the BEST at what he did? No. Was he 'consistently' the best over his long career vs anyone else's career...Yes, I would say so. Like a LeBron James career. Very good for a very long time, but not the best at any given time

      If there's only one person that the G.O.A.T. title can be given to, it's Wayne Gretzky and it's not even close. The term exists for Wayne. They had to separate him into two players for fantasy hockey, Wayne Gretzky goals and Wayne Gretzky assists and they were still picked #1 & #2. I'm an NFL fan who doesn't even watch Hockey.

      T.O. could have possibly come the closest to matching Jerry's numbers if he wasn't black balled out of the league.....in his last season he had 989 yards 72 receptions and 9 tds....he was still balling. We didn't see his skills fade.

    A lot of half truths with T.O., he talks about being a team player but doesn’t want to talk about being a locker room divider everywhere he went, and I clearly remember drop balls being an issue not just at the beginning of his career but especially at the end of his career, with that said he still earned the right to believe he is the goat and is definitely in the conversation

    Jerry Rice is the GOAT. I actually also liked TO as a player, very talented. His issue has always been the personality, very large ego, and you can see glimpses of it during the interview. He's trying to keep it in check. This is what rubbed people the wrong way about him.

    When someone doesn’t have the physical ability perfect example is Larry Bird and Joker two players that aren’t physically gifted yes they are tall but their skill is literally maybe the best ever in the sport so if you took say Lebron James and he was 6’4 or under good chance he wouldn’t be in the NBA now if you made Bird or Joker 6’4 they would still make the NBA because of hustle and skill. T.O. could of been a much better player if he wasn’t so damn needy or bipolar but to be honest that’s how most black receivers are everything is about them and are always being disrespected some how but in reality that’s just basic bitch shit for them.     I'm not going to watch this whole video... but I need to speak up on the best WR convo... Steve Largent played in the same era as Rice, played with much worse QBs, played in a run first system on a bad team, vs a throw first all time great team, and it took Rice multiple years more of playing to beat Largents numbers, Steve Largent should be in the discussion for best right along side Rice, but he is forgotten because he played for bad teams in Seattle... Largent is the real goat in my book. Look him up if you dont know about him!!!

    Very interesting that T.O. says "if I only had a few more years at the end of my career, I would be closer to Jerry's records." There were no more teams willing to tolerate his antics after Buffalo and Cincinnati. Jerry Rice was never a problem in the locker room so even when S.F. thought he was done, he went to Oakland and had three more very productive years. T.O. is delusional and self absorbed earning his nickname: Team Obliterator.

I was thinking Shane Mathews maybe, but he's had a few QB's throwing to him, Kitna being one of them. CJ was still a HOF WR though and put up some prolific numbers, despite never having a Montana, Brady, Steve Young or Peyton throwing him the ball, like the other WR's had.

    TO, and Moss- both all-time greats. But Rice is the goat. The biggest difference (apart from the stats) is that TO and Moss were head cases. Rice wasn't. Perhaps that's why Rice has those rings while Moss and TO don't. Wide Outs are often primadonnas, Rice wasn't.

    If you set the bar (Jerry), and nobody has matched or exceeded the barometer, hen you cannot call yourself greater. Remember, Rice played in an era where running the ball 40x a game was the norm. Sure, the 49rs may have been more pass oriented, but they hardly if ever led the league in passing. J. Rice was dominating.
