  • What felt as in the middle of nowhere to get to, Jones Hole is a spectacular 10 mile hike round trip (with side hike to Ely Creek Falls). To arrive at Jones Hole, you must complete a 47-mile drive on paved roads to the US Fish & Wildlife Service Jones Hole Fish Hatchery. From there, enjoy a picturesque and relatively flat hike along creek that takes you to the Green River where I met and enjoyed conversations with kayakers and adventurers heading down the river.

Went to Dinosaur Natl. Monument as part of school field trip in 1978. Have not been back since...but want to soon. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks Rick. I hadn't been there myself for nearly 20 years! I'm so glad I made the effort to enjoy this incredible park!

@@FoorTrek well ill let you in on something// while i have a couple interesting ones from summer still in the works, there will not be too many videos until next summer- reason being we got Private land in the desert! we're making a ton of trips to our 2 parcels near Barstow all year so i have less to film about// the Ranch is a little exposed to the elements so im not wanting to film it for fear of sending trespassers but ill have to show off a little of it eventually... anyway bottom line we are getting out more but making less videos...

Did you need any type of permits? I wanna plan this as an easy backpacking\ play in the river type trip next year 😻

You might need a permit for a camping spot...but the NPS website would tell you.
