    regarding your video with the clamps on the pipes to the heater core. did you put the sels on the pipes and then wedged them into the core , or the otherway arround?

    • @TheTriumphGuy101
      @TheTriumphGuy101  Před 7 měsíci

      Seal into the pipe (rubber ones) then wedged it
      Good luck, the job can be a nightmare but I’m here to help!
      Also. Use longer screws for the clamps

    Did fitting a new heater core sort your problem? I’ve got same problem with mk5 golf with same climate control

      Hey Matthew! Thank you for your comment! Yes it did!
      I think these cars take a while to warm up anyways so the heating dose take longer than most motors

    My problem that I only have heat on the driver side. The two passenger vents blow cold along with the passenger defrost vent. Any idea what that could be?

      Good morning! I’m not going to lie, that sounds extremely strange! Is it an early 2000s VW like mine?

      If so it could be something wrong with your dual client control

    Hi,
    I cant see the yellow arm moving in my car, any pointers on how to get at it and reconnect it?
    Thanks

    • @TheTriumphGuy101
      @TheTriumphGuy101  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hey! If the yellow arm is not working then it will ethier need re connecting OR the unit its self is broken. It is driven by a small eletric motor.
      This may be multiple reasons why it’s not working.
      But let’s start with the easiest way - can you
      Prod it with a long stick of some
      Sort and see if it’s connected at both ends. Then get back to me

      Legend :) anytime! Obviously if you can see the yellow bar swings ethier way then we know it’s disconnected and we can go from there :)
      Good luck :D

      Hey mate! Someone has just commented saying they disconnected the battrey for a few mins and then re connected it and it’s re set the heating systems / motor. May be worth a try

      Depending on the car may depend on the colour. But it’s under where my hand is int he thumbnail - you can veiws it via the heater core location.

    Hi
    Mine the pipes are hot and that flap is moving fine when I switch from cold to hot air. But still not hot air what else could be?
    Cheers

      @TheTriumphGuy101  Před 7 měsíci

      So when I felt my pipes, they both felt hot but one was ALOT hotter than the other. Is this the case for you or are they both Piping hot? By that I mean are both pipes to hot to touch when the car is at temp

    • @minoX6
      @minoX6 Před 7 měsíci

      @@TheTriumphGuy101 yes it’s correct both similarly too hot

      @@minoX6 ok, is the part moving the thing is suspised to be connected to?

    • @TheTriumphGuy101
      @TheTriumphGuy101  Před 7 měsíci

      It can only be a few w things.
      The yellow arm, the thing the yellow arm
      Is concreted to, the flap inside the casing which the yellow arm is attached too or the heater core is blocked. If it’s a VW, I would hedge my bets that the heater core is blocked.
      My pipes did feel similar in temp, one was very hot as in couldn’t touch for longer than half a secound. And one I could touch for around 5 secs
