VW Touran Heater Fix (Vents blowing cold air)

This is a video on a UK 2008 VW Touran with a heater problem. The car was only blowing out cold air and I was getting auxiliary heater codes but I know that this is only used when the car is started to help it warm up quicker. I checked my heater matrix and the pipes and it was warm so I knew my heater matrix was working. I started to dig some more and found that my temperature flap motor to be faulty which was causing the flap not to turn to the hot setting and in turn I wasn't getting no heat from the Vents. As soon as I turned it I started getting heat from the Vents and as a temp fix I jammed the flap into the hot position as I'm in cold weather right now and will ultimately fix it when I get a replacement.

I hope this works for me as I’m the same, there’s a small amount of heat at high speed so matrix is ok, must be same as you.
