Wmxtf942 also has sealed tub. Thanks for excellent video and for saving me from buying parts that I could not use.

Such a great explained video and all worked as he said in his video...... BUT.... Come to the drum there are no fixings to hold the 2parts 2gether. Looks like 4 tab clips but the drum is plastic welded together and has to be cut open. Not great and not worth doing if anyone has a sealed tub. Mine i cut open and now wished I never bothered. Washing machine ( Hotpoint WT741 ) now on the scrap pile heap. Gutted

If the drum spider support is broken and you have to drill the T30 screws out, the replacement spider supports don't appear to come with replacement screws for the 6 I've drilled out. Where do I get replacement screws from as don't want to use anything that will just rust out in 6mths?

    Hi mate,
I have a hot point washing machine wdl540.
It has a started to make a much louder knocking noise while its on and the drum appears to move left to right more than normal.
Do you think this is likely the bearings??
    Thanks

If its not a loose top or bottom counter weights. Check. Its MORE THAN LIKELY BEARINGS. Does the drum rumble when turned by hand. If so, buy and new machine. the bearing replacement wont last. Hotpoint/Indesit/Ariston/Creda...machines are all the same make.=Rubbish.
