The music of Phil and Genesis have been a huge part of my life for some 30 years now...but there's one mystery that remains after all these years. Why exactly did he include that very quiet rendition of "Over The Rainbow" at the very end of "Face Value"?? My belief is that maybe it's the nighttime song he sang to his kids before the divorce changed everything. Hoping someone out there can chime in with answer...and thanks so much for this post!
So this is the remastered version.... Was the entire "Face Value" album remastered? I recall this wonderful tune and Phils take on it but only partially sung at end of that great album. It followed a version of a John Lennon song.
